As in Japan the room is very small. This room doesn't even have a closet. It has a towel bar with four hangers. The room however is very clean and the staff is very helpful. I like that breakfast is included. It is not the type of breakfast you expect in the US, but there is sufficient variety to have a decent breakfast. The breakfast varies a little bit daily. Small breakfast sausages, scrambled eggs in the form of curds, yogurt, bread, raisin bun, cereals, rice, soup, are always available. In addition, you may get a bun filled with custard and other proteins such as meat balls or chicken. Another plus is that the metro train station is literally steps away and you could get to any of the tourist areas using the trains with transfers of course.

The major negative is it is far away from the busy and tourist area. As such there is not much around there. We tried four restaurants around there and there is none that I would recommend. Transportation is expensive in Japan, so it would be better to stay near the location you want to visit. Besides, you will save time getting to where you want to go.

The breakfast option was a very good amenity was the best thing I chose (lots of good options for different breakfast types) and the library cafe was a game-changer, being able to pop in to get some free drinks and a space to hang-out/have a meal out of the breakfast times, very nice atmosphere and super convenient. Being also next to the train station, very convenient. Being outside the hustle of the city, so we could rest, a good point. just 20 mins from Tokyo station. We were in the 11th floor so I'm not sure if that also helped with our rest(there wasn't any noise at all at night).

Having a cleaning service is a positive point. We didn't need it every day, along with the linen change but they would hang a bag of towels every day at our door which ended up being a little bit inconvenient as you don't have too much space for those rooms. There was one person we met at the service desk that was a little bit too much overdoing their role, I found it stressing, the rest of the recepcionists were nice, always saying hi (maybe too much being that they would greet you every time they see you, but ok, japan hospitality). But this person would be too insistent in having a reply every time we pass by, making us feel anxious... apart from that, everything was very nice.

absolutely LOVE the location. after a full day of walking around tokyo, there's nothing like remembering that your hotel is *right* beside the train station. unbeatable. apart from that, it's across the kiyosumi park, a 10-minute walk away from the modern art museum, and is well-situated close to great izakayas, restaurants, and cafes. can't beat it! it was appropriately local (it had a lot of local flavor, and not too many tourists in the area!) but still connects you to the rest of tokyo. really has everything that you need for the price. i stayed around march (transition between spring/winter) so the AC is set to warm: that's really great, too.

the lighting :( only overhead lighting! hahaha. wish there were more lamps.

Great location, convenient store and subway station just downstairs, super friendly staff. Breakfast was alright, a bit crowded though. The restaurant area is opened till late night if you want to find a place to use laptop. Coin laundry is available but only got 2 machines, so could bit quite a wait.

Late night siren noise from the street could be annoying so next time I should ask if room at higher floor is available.

The breakfast was very good -nice variety, plenty of fruits & vegetables, good pastry/bread and beverage selection. It was tasty, easy, fast and good start to our day. We also liked that toiletries and pyjamas are provided...makes packing easier and lighter suitcases. Having the Subway station next to the hotel was super convenient and a definite highlight. The shops, restaurants, pharmacy and grocer within steps of the hotel are also pluses. We also explored the parks, shrine/temples and museum that were also within walking distance. This is our second stay at this hotel. Our first room was in better condition than this recent stay, because this room is more rundown and needs more repairs. The rooms are comfortable but are very basic/standard and lacks character. The elevators were slow. Other features we liked are the laundry machines, the maps and travel information, library with books/games/beverages/plugs/tables/chairs, the food vending machines and the complimentary suitcases storage. There BEST part of both of our stays are the staff. From the front desk, breakfast/kitchen, and cleaning staff, everyone was super friendly and helpful, always acknowledged and greeted us with smiles, and always went above and beyond to make our stay better. 🙏🏻 Thank-you and we look forward to returning soon. 🥰

It would be nicer if the elevators were a bit faster, and the rooms were updated.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good and staff did there best to answer any questions we had about the ingredients. We like how close it was to the subway and a convenient store.

I did not enjoy the coffee but that may just be my personal taste. We also found the bathrooms too small with an awkward high step into which often resulted in one of us smacking our toes.

The hotel is located in a lesser known district on the eastern side of the Sumida river. However, in terms of location for getting about, it couldn't be better. Literally right next door to Kiyosumi-Shirakawa Metro station. Also right next door, on the other side of reception, is a conbini. The hotel was clean and the room wasn't overly small for Tokyo. There was also a daily room cleaning service. There is a baggage storage area in reception, with some parts having lockable cables.

This hotel is very popular with overseas visitors and as such gets very busy, especially at breakfast time. The lifts are frustrating, constantly stopping at the second floor lobby, even when nobody is waiting there. They also travel past your floor, despite having pressed the call button. You couldn't turn the main room lights out from your bed, so had to navigate around your luggage in the dark.

Breakfast was great & plentiful selections! Housekeeping was great ensuring we had new towels daily although it wasn’t always necessary. They changed are linens when we needed change. Loved that a laundry facility was provided on the property. The Front desk staff was wonderful & always helpful despite occasional language difficulties.

The bathroom had a high step up & step down as well as the tub/shower. It was ok for us however I’m a bit concerned for older Seniors who may have difficulty stepping up & down with no bar to grab hold on to.

There was a good choice of breakfast with European and Japanese dishes and coffee was always available from the little bookshop cafe which was a nice place to sit after walking round the city. The hotel provided sleepwear (as many Japanese hotels do) and there were umbrellas by the door to use when it rained, which was very useful for us. The hotel is conveniently situated next to the subway station.

Staff are really warm even though they don't speak english fluent they try to translate everything to you in an easy way.

I was just shocked how small the room was. But it was okay with me. Because it is so clean, new and very comfortable even though the room was too small.
