Prompt chat replies from staff, and they reconfirmed my request upon check-in. Was a little anxious of the stay as there were barely reviews of the accommodation when I booked few months back. Place is really near to train station, not to far to commute to different places to the city. Exit A4 is definitely the nearest to the hotel, but if you have really big, and heavy luggages, you can use exit A6 where there is lift. There is also lift in the apartment. Lawson is the nearest convenience store from the apartment. It's a quiet neighbourhood, and as a girl, I felt safe walking around at night. All the staff are friendly, and nice. They were extremely helpful too! We needed assistance with restaurant reservation as we do not have Japan phone number, and they assisted us. Not only that, they even assisted us with best route to a place we needed to go as Google was not that helpful. Room was big enough for family of 4-6. The bed, and duvet was very comfortable - not to mention the tatami too! Pajamas, and soap are all included. The best thing of this place is the washing machine, and mini kitchen. Ps: put lesser load for clothes to dry when using washing + dryer function to make sure clothes are really dry! 5 nights felt too short, but it was great. My friends, and family enjoyed our stay here. It was my first time to Japan, and this stay has made my vacation even better. Hope to come again in the future. Thank you to all the staff! :)

extra space/ place to hang our clothes/ towels. the hangers was just enough to place our clothes but since we have 3 people in one room, we didn’t have space in the toilet to put our towels.

This was our second time staying at East Square Tokyo, we were there in mid-June for 4 nights. Our first stay was last December and we enjoyed our stay so much that it was a no-brainer for us to book a room at East Square Tokyo when we knew we would be back in Tokyo in June. As with our previous stay, the room was clean and comfortable. Location was convenient and quiet. Subway station is close by. Convenience stores and a supermarket are also within walking distance. We really like the residential vibe of the neighbourhood. Having access to a washer/dryer plus a kitchenette area in the room are big plus points for us. Last but not least, we really appreciate the friendly, helpful service from the staff, and in particular, Yu-san! The warm hospitality from Yu is what makes East Square feels like a home away from home. He remembered us from our first stay last December, and we were all excited to see him again when we checked-in in June. Really glad we got to catch up with him again on this trip. We look forward to future stays at East Square Tokyo!

A minor detail, but it would be really helpful if the hotel could provide a kitchen sponge (for washing dishes) in addition to the cloth that's currently provided. With only 1 small and pretty thin cloth provided for our use at the kitchen area, it's tricky to try to wash and dry dishes, as well as wipe down a wet countertop. Also, if at all possible, providing a small saucepan with a lid (stainless steel saucepan?) would also be useful. Right now, in terms of cookware, it's either a very large non-stick stock pot or a non-stick frying pan. If we want to cook one or two eggs (hardboiled or poached eggs) or a small serving of noodles, there's no smaller saucepan that we can use.

It was a beautifully decorated, spacious, comfortable apartment. Excellent facilities, kitchenette, full dining table, separate toilet from the shower room which is great when traveling with multiple people, airconditioning, a small balcony and able to open windows in bedrooms which is great. It's on a quiet residential street, so great for getting to sleep. The staff are so friendly and very helpful, they really try to make you feel welcome and all the staff we saw spoke English. This was easily the nicest place we stayed at in Japan. It is within a few minutes walk to Morishita subway station, restaurants and convenience stores. It is a little bit further out from some of the main attractions in Tokyo, but well worth the little bit extra travel time.

Very minor but some extra towel rails or bath hooks in the bathroom would have been great.

The staff were incredible. They had a good grasp of English, and while this wasn't expected, it certainly enabled us to have more conversations with them. This created an even more welcoming atmosphere everytime we came back for the day. We booked two rooms (separate bookings) and they kindly placed us on the same floor. Very considerate. An in-depth check-in procedure let us know the room cleaning schedule and how to operate the washing machine. They familiarised us with the three aircon units, rubbish sorting and tatami area. We were able to dry our laundry on the balcony. The kitchen has suitable items for making meals if you are so inclined. The street is nice and quiet and a short walk to Morishita station (S11 on the Shinjuku line). The downstairs foyer has a nice communal space to begin or end our day with the snacks provided. I would highly recommend. We were able to stow our luggage before check-in and after check-out to suit our plans for the day.

Every person that we came across at the front desk spoke English and they were all super friendly and helpful. Location was great, quiet but train station was just around the corner. Supermarket a few minutes away. Lots of convenience stores nearby but also lots of options for meals. Having the washer & dryer there was really handy and it actually dried the clothes so could easily set and forget. Heat pumps in both bedrooms and living area so well suited for all seasons! For the size and location, it was well worth the price. Having two separate bedrooms that weren’t overly cramped was really rare to come across during my search so really glad we came across East Square. Perfect for our family of two adult and two young kids.

Staff are all very friendly and helpful. The room is just like the photos, very calm Japanese interior style but modern. It's like having your own apartment in Tokyo - perfect for a family. The apartment is in a quieter part of Tokyo, which we actually loved! It was great visiting the hectic business of Shinjuku, Shibuya then retreating to the hotel in a chilled quiet local neighbourhood. There are still restaurants and convenience stores nearby but it's only busy with locals. It's also very conveniently close to Morishita station which is serviced by two train lines - one of which goes direct to Shinjuku which makes sightseeing easy and convenient.

The room was exactly what we expected. We wanted to find a space with a common area and two separate sleeping spaces for 2 couples and it offered exactly that. There was an elevator to our floor and the check-in check out was seamless. Staff was exceptional in helping us and always greeted us with tips and questions to improve our stay. There were appliances if you chose to cook in your room. There's a washer in the space and very helpful English instructions. There's even additional sleeping tatami area. It's very close to a subway station that ran close to the major lines to tourist attractions. Because it was in a more suburban space compared to the city life it was relatively quiet all around. Very enjoyable stay!

The only thing we noticed was slight mold / wood stains on the counter in the shower room by the sink. I imagine it's because it's just a very wet space there so unless you keep the fan running and doors open most of the time it could lead to that. Regardless everything else was spotless!

The hotel was amazing! The staff were all lovely and very helpful. I was in contact with Yu Mihara-san through Booking, and he always answered my questions in detail. He also welcomed us at check-in and even helped us with parking. Since we parked a bit far from the hotel, he walked with us all the way to make sure everything was okay. The rest of the staff were also incredibly kind and friendly. The location is perfect, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Yu Mihara-san also gave us clear instructions about everything we needed to know. I highly recommend this hotel!

Everything was amazing.

The day and night clerks were so helpful and friendly! It was the perfect place to stay with our group of 4. Very clean, modern, and traditional Japanese. We did all our laundry using the washer/dryer machine. We cooked and ate breakfast there each morning. We enjoyed eating at several restaurants closeby and shopping at Lawsons. Train station was a 3 or 4 minute walk! We stayed there 5 nights upon arriving in Tokyo, and 7 nights in other cities, and our last 2 nights we spent at East Square. We felt so at home there!!

The pillows are a bit hard.

2-room suite was comfortable, spotless, had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable. Decent size, possibly considered spacious, for a Tokyo hotel room. Just right for 4 people. Close to subway station, eateries, convenience stores, short walk to a large supermarket. Staff were friendly and helpful, especially Yu who proactively helped us with all our requests and questions. Staff were conversant in English, so no issues with communication. Enjoyed the low-key, quiet residential vibe of the neighbourhood.

Would have been nice if hotel had a hot tub for guest use, or cable tv, but not a big deal in the scheme of things.
