Beds were comfortable, staff was very helpful and there was a free coffee machine. The room we stayed at, was very nice . The hotel in a very beautiful district. Many cute local cafes and restaurants. Close to the train station. And it’s very calm, we could sleep peacefully.

The room could have been cleaned more thoroughly. Mirror were quite dirty, we could see fingerprints from previous guests and the floor wasn’t wiped, as we saw some stains.

I liked the staff working there, we left our luggage there because we arrived about 12 noon and to my pleasant surprise when I returned they delivered the baggage inside our rooms, when we put the ‘do not disturb’ sign they would leave new towels, slippers and Pj in a bag outside our rooms

Nothing bad about it tbh…maybe the check out time could be later? As it was 10am but that’s about it

My second time staying at this hotel. I decided to return based on location and price. Staff were very helpful, rooms were clean and facilities were all great. I particularly like that the hotel is in a quieter area given that it's right next to a tourist area - all the benefits of being near shops and eateries (and a beautiful temple complex) without the noise and crowds.

Reasonable location. Within walking distance to the tourist attractions that we wanted to go. Although a little walk from the station, doable, but would be better if it was closer. Room was very small, but this is to be expected. House keeping daily during our three night stay was great. Good to come back to a tidy room after a long day out. Check in and check out was easy. And luggage storage was a great help.

Washing machines were good and had good functions such as it does a quick clean for you before you start using it. The downside is they were almost always in use when I wanted to use them. You set a PIN so no can take your laundry. But also means that other people can’t use the machine until you come to collect the laundry.

We absolutely loved this location on a quiet street in Asakusa, close to everything but not loud or overrun with people. It was the perfect base to explore the area without any stress. Tons of options for shopping, cafes, restaurants, convenience stores, etc. within a few minutes' walk. There's even a children's playground nearby and a laundromat within a block. The staff was very kind and assisted with sending our bags to Kyoto. They had ample free amenities in the lobby and even some free origami for the kids to take. The rooms were nice and well equipped.

While there is a dessert cafe attached (with limited hours), there is no breakfast on site.

Great property, super helpful staff. They have a free coffee machine downstairs and extra pillows (I saw other reviews that pillows weren’t great but with two I slept amazing). They were able to store our luggage the day we left since our flights were later. The bathroom and room aren’t super huge but the price was so great for a hotel in Tokyo, we weren’t upset by it. They remake beds everyday and you can request a room cleaning as well. Overall we had a wonderful stay!

The WiFi was not super strong in our room which meant I had to use up a lot of my data plan, but sometimes it worked fine.

The hotel was a very short walk to the rest of the city and the train station. They were happy to hold on to our luggage before we checked in, and the staff were overall very friendly. It is very close to Asakusa Station, which you can use to access the Asakusa line (direct train to Haneda Airport) and Ginza line (connecting Asakusa and Shibuya) I would say this is a great hotel if your goal is to explore as much of Tokyo as possible. You also get complementary pyjamas every night, which I wasn't expecting.

We had quite a small room with bunk beds between the two of us. The room was small, but it was all we really needed.

As a family of 5 we booked one room with 4 bunks and one double room. The double room was very small with no view but the bunk room was great, quite large with a big window. Hotel located in great area.

I love the cleanliness of entire place. I had read other reviews stating that the rooms weren't big enough. It was plenty big enough. The train station was a 10 minute walk past Starbucks, where we would have breakfast. The Cafe downstairs was good and 7/11 was around the corner.

The beds were hard and the pillows were hard. Ask reception for softer pillow. Look downstairs for pillows near the coffee machine and grab them. They are thin memory foam but much better than the buckwheat.

I stayed three weeks in April 2024 and loved my experience at the Tosei Hotel. Room was small, yes, but you’re in Japan, what do you expect? Shower and amenities are well provided for.

I never had a great experience using the laundry, but chalk that more up to Japanese washing machines. There’s a laundromat steps away from the hotel if you need something more heavy duty. My only real quibble is it’s about a 15-20 minute walk to Asakusa station, which I never minded but I can see being a factor for some. The walk takes you through Sensoji, so it’s hard to imagine it being noticeable. If it’s raining, they’ll provide an umbrella.
