I stayed a week with Hotel Tomos and wish I could have stayed longer! I will miss the warm and friendly staff, who greeted me each morning and night, answering all my questions (the WhatsApp communication was so easy!) and entertaining my need to journal my travels by giving me some cherished mementos to put into my traveller's notebook. I was lucky enough to enjoy the most beautiful view of the Tokyo Skytree by myself and with a friend from the rooftop. The hotel is beautifully designed around the concept of Shadows, making Hotel Tomos the most comfortable and relaxing stay I've ever experienced in all my travels.

I do recommend looking for a coin laundry outside of the hotel as the one provided is often in high demand by other patrons. The staff were especially supportive in letting me know when it was available and for changing a note into coins, but it will be easier to do your laundry elsewhere if you have a rather inflexible schedule to adhere to.

Every time I stay at TMS, I start my review by saying H|ptel Tomos Asakusa, is my favourite place to stay in the world. This hotel is my favourite place to stay in the world! The two principal reasons are: 1. the awesome team at the hotel 2. the understated style of the rooms When I arrive at Asakusa station, I feel happy, firstly because I now know what exit to take, Exit 7. I walk down the street, under the rail bridge, for the Tobu Isesaki line. I pause and stare at it again, out pops the iphone to take yet another picture of it. I'm hoping for !the perfect picture but dont actually know what that is! As I continue my walk, my old friend, the Skytree, proudly presents itself at every junction. So I have my bridge, the Skytree, can it get any better. Yes it can!, A slight left at the intersection by the Koban, and the finish lineis in sight! The understated TMS sign and the green Noren across the entrance, tell me I am almost at my "home away from home". As I enter, the welcome is warm and sincere, whoever is working at reception smiles broadly, and seems genuinely pleased to see me! I find the warm welcome so nice. The team at TMS is quite small but they all work super hard. Even in reception, there is a positive energy amongst the team. Some of the nicest moments of my travels in Japan have been standing by the reception desk talking with a member of staff. Eventually it's up to the the room, which exudes class and great attention to detail. I have stayed in rooms on the 8th and 9th floor, and on each occasion notice another clever feature. I am still so impressed by the way the shower drains.I stand their watching the water! I think it nicely summarises the hotel: clean, stylish, very efficient and even better than expected! Thankyou again TMS x

A wonderful stay with my family in Tokyo. The room is spacious and clean. The hotel location is great and far from city hustle but close to subway station. Behind the hotel is Sumida Park and Tokyo Skytree. Both provide serene atmosphere and great view. Less than a minute walk to 7-11 and bus stop just right in front. Plenty of restaurant around and 10 min walk to Sensoji. The staffs are very kind and helpful. Overall it was a superb stay and looking forward to stay with them again.

The only small particular thing for my family room is the main restroom door has no lock and it could cause unwanted incident.

Beautiful place, love the traditional feel and the modern facilities. It is impeccably clean and the staff are always doing extra to help out. Level 10 is a gorgeous communal space, and rooftop has un-obstructed view to Skytree. A step away 7-11 where we grabbed quick meals, and very close to Sumida park where the Sakura blossoms and a small kids playground (a must when traveling with children). 10min walking distance from the heart of Asakusa, train station and temple. We had a wonderful time and hope to return soon.

Nothing. Perhaps on days the kids are tired I would prefer if we are even closer to the station. But it is only a small complaint, we can always take the uber to station under 800 yen.

The hotel is small with only one or two rooms per floor so very quiet. Rooms are spacious. Sleeping quality was great. The hotel staff is very friendly , helpful, smiling and speaking a very good english The roof terrace is great , we enjoyed a dinner up there. It is equipped with trays, microwave and all you need if you like to warm up your food at the hotel without looking around for a restaurant if you are tired or enjoy your breakfast in the morning. Food store is right in front. There is complementary tea of every kind in the lobby and coffee and chocolate and so on. Asakusa is a quiet neighbourhood which offers a wonderful temple at a walking distance ( great to visit in the nighttime) , a station which would well connect around and lots of restaurants for dinner. We would definitely go back.

The hotel has an excellent location, just a short walk from the metro, which makes it very convenient for exploring Tokyo. The rooms, although not very large, are impeccably clean and well maintained. There’s a wide variety of amenities provided, which we really appreciated. Another great plus is the laundry service – you can use the hotel’s washing machine, which is incredibly helpful, especially during a long trip in Japan to refresh your suitcase. Additionally, there’s a high-quality self-service laundry right next door, with excellent washers and dryers at very reasonable prices. But what truly made our stay special was the outstanding customer service. The reception staff were incredibly kind, friendly, and attentive during both check-in and check-out. They gave us great recommendations for places to eat and visit. Most importantly, they went above and beyond when I lost an item on the Tokyo metro – they took the time to help me recover it, even coordinating to have it sent from Osaka to the hotel. Truly professional and caring service! We couldn’t be happier with our experience and highly recommend Thomas Asakusa to anyone visiting Tokyo.

This small hotel is fantastic. Everything was great and spotless, and the beds are very comfortable. We also had a small balcony, perfect for relaxing, and the neighborhood is relatively quiet. There's a rooftop with a stunning view of the Tokyo Sky Tree. Perfect Location : near the Metro, Tokyo Sky Tree and Sensō-ji Temple. The staff is incredibly kind and professional; they helped us with many things. I've never encountered such kind staff. Truly incredible. There wasn't anything we didn't enjoy, everything was really nice and perfect ! However, it can be a bit challenging to do your makeup in front of the bathroom mirror because the lighting isn't bright enough. But you can do your makeup in the living area by drawing the curtains to let in more light. I highly recommend this place! I would gladly return !

The unit cuts all redundancy to be roomy and luxury feeling. Extremely big bed for a single room, with a flat sofa bed. Very good WiFi without any web registration. No bath tub making the shower room seemingly more clean and no need to worry about water spilling or slow sink. Moody lights making the room even more premium feeling. In suite air conditioning unit, so you can control temperature you want.

Sound proof is non-existing, you can hear everything from window. Plus it's near train station so every morning you can hear some announcement, good or bad you can even hear the Matsuri-bayashi. The smart TV's remote barely functional and cannot be completely turned off. It's located at end of bed, there is a blue power light on when the TV is turned off. I was extremely tired so didn't have trouble to fall sleep, but these two above could be a sleep problem. Toilet is in a different room from wash basin. It's really a minor inconvenience that every time you want to wash hands you need to go pass two doors. I actually really like the idea of isolating toilet from where you brush tooth.

The staff were wonderful and welcoming. Great english. Very cosy hotel. One apartment per floor. Very quiet street. Easy access to subway, Sumida Park and Sensoji. Bus stop right out front. We mainly walked from this hotel to explore surrounds. Our favorite hotel this holiday visit. Room is small for a family of four (two adolscent boys) but we were only there to sleep. Had to climb over a bed to get to the end one- not a big deal for the kid who had to get over there. Futon beds & sofa bed were cosy. Nice little balcony to sit and watch the world. Roof top access with great views. Lots of charge points right at bedhead. Coffee/tea/microwave in lobby. Bar fridge and cups in room. Lighting was comforting (not super bright lights)

No hanging space for wet towels. Luggage shelf/rack would have been nice in that space under the clothes rail perhaps.

Hotel Tomos Asakusa is my favourite hotel in the world. There are three key reasons why I love staying here: 1. The staff are just so friendly, welcoming and professional. The hotel has a lovely balance. Big enough to provide a range of nice services, but at the same time perare sonal enough to allow you to get to know the staff. 2. The rooms are so stylish with great attention to detail, for example, the shower drains so swifty, the sheets on the bed feel so clean and fresh. The bed is so comfy. 3. The rooms are very reasonably priced. Try and book as early as possible when travel plans are know in order to be able to get the room you want at the best price. The view from the rooftop terrace across to the Tokyo Skytree is stunning. Thankyou again all at TMS!
