I had a great stay at this hotel. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, especially when I needed to send my luggage to another city. The room was very clean. Getting to the hotel was easy thanks to the free shuttle bus from Shinagawa Station, which runs until 1 AM. From Haneda Airport, it only takes one train ride to Shinagawa Station, then a short ride on the hotel shuttle. There are many food options around Shinagawa Station, and there’s a 7-Eleven right in front of the hotel for snacks and drinks. Breakfast had a good variety, and the hotel even provides takeaway containers if you’re in a hurry. Check-in and check-out were fast and smooth with the help of the staff at the self-check-in machine. I will definitely stay here again when I visit Japan.

I've never given any hotel a perfect 10 but Toyoko Inn Shinagawa well deserves it. I was impressed with so many perks and services from the excellent hospitality of the hotel staff to the cleanliness, the free clean towels daily, the free shuttle service every 15mins to Shinagawa train station and the delicious breakfast buffet. The hotel is located in a convenient location about 10mins from Shinagawa Station which connects to any part of Tokyo & Japan and Tennozu Isle Monorail station. There's a 7-11 convenience store about 50 meters away and an Anytime Fitness 24 hour gym about 500 meters from the hotel.

Toyoko Inn Hotel uses ALOT of single-use-plastics which I didn't like, for example food containers, plastic bags for towels etc. Also, the hotel room did not have a Storage rack /cupboard /cabinet for clothes.

Located right next to the Tennouzu Isle Station perfect for those travelling into/out through Haneda Airport. Helpful staff that also have English speakers. Luggage storage is conveniently there to store luggage before check in/ after check out. A sufficient amount of amenities for those who are travelling lightly. The included breakfast is also a plus for anyone wanting a quick calorie munch before the real travel around Tokyo starts.

The included breakfast standard hotel breakfast quality which could be better in terms of variety and quality. Even though it's right next to Tennouzu Isle Station, it's probably one of the worst stations to travel around Tokyo from since it gets a bit expensive when you're transferring into any of the main JR Lines, especially for those who havent purchased the day/week train passes. Would highly recommend to take the complimentary shuttle bus service or even the 20 minute walk to the bigger Shinagawa station along the Meguro River because of the view and random sights along the way.

The shuttle bus to and from Shinagawa Station means ease of access to most parts of Tokyo. The luggage storage space and lockers were great. Saved going up and down the lift. Better to store larger luggage here than In the rooms. Front desk staff who assisted us on our last day as we forgot to check out.

Queues for the lifts and breakfast can be quite long. Shuttle bus can be crowded at times but it is pretty frequent. The rooms are quite small.

The hotel has a courtesy bus that runs to and from Shinagawa Station, and the monorail and railway line are also close by. The breakfast is amazing, a virtual feast, and is included in the price. The staff were helpful and assisted with any requests I had. I had a problem with the size of the room and smells from the bathroom drains. I requested to see if a change was possible, and they accommodated my request immediately. The new room was larger and there were no bad odours. My friend, who was travelling with, had no issues with her room.

The hardness of the matresses. Saying that, every hotel I stayed in had firm mattresses.

The breakfast menu was very nice, providing enough diversity to satisfy the guests. The room equipment was very nice. It has to be underlined, that the hotel introduced an eco-friendly policy, providing the bathroom equipment in the lobby. I also liked the everyday breakfast confirmation solution (using the room TV system). And finally, the shuttle bus to the train station, which is really great solution. The personnel was kind and professional.

The breakfast coffee could be a bit better.

The price and location were excellent. The proximity to the monorail and the airport/Hamamatsu Cho Station were a important as well as the very frequent bus connection to Shinagawa Station. The room size was great for two people and two regular sized suitcases.

I would have like to have someone clean the garbage/make the bed on a regular basis then every two days. Also the mattress was little too firm for my back.

The room and the ensuite were spotless. I loved the smell of the provided soaps. The breakfast was very generous and delicious, with plenty of choices. All the staff, from reception to those handling breakfast, were excellent. Great location. I highly recommend this hotel.

This reflects personal preference: the mattress was very firm, causing me back pain, but my boyfriend found it comfortable. I experienced this issue throughout my trip in Japan.

I travel a lot)) but I never saw such a great balance of money/comfort/convenience. Only when i got request to write review I realised that hotel have only 2 stars. The district is good one not far away from Tokyo station, round line of JR trains connecting Shinagawa station ( that one if biggest but EASIEST in Tokyo, go back and forth to hotel especially if you are newbie in Tokyo metro will get on your nerves, that one is good) , Shinjuku and Shibuya all the same line. The hotel have free shuttle bus to Shinagawa station. Clean, but I guess it’s everywhere in Japan. Super rich breakfast with a wide choice of dishes.

Clean, Super easy check-in and check-out (automated). Many japanese office people stayed here. You can take free amenities like razor, toothbrush & toothpaste, tea bag, and other things at the lobby. There is a free breakfast everyday and the menu is quite substantial but basic (rice, pastry, noodles). The hotel is quite far from Shinagawa station, but they provide free bus from morning till night every 15 minutes. The nearest train station is about 5-10mins walk (I think it was a subway or something, we took that subway to go to Disneyland).
