This was our second stay for a diving vacation at Casa Del Mar. It will not be the last. The staff is well above average. Friendly, humorous, dedicated. We even had the pleasure of meeting the resort cat "Pita". Reasonable and easy car rentals on site. Dive house and lockers are well maintained and dive staff accomadating and engaging. We stayed in one of the larger rooms and loved it. We also did the all inclusive plan. The menus are all tasty and varied.

There are some maintenance issues that are being addressed in thier own time.. it did not take away from our very postitve experience.

It is a dive resort in a 60s modern design. Loved seeing/meeting other divers. Glad that Pelogic Ventures Scuba will pick up at their dock. The hotel provide space to rinse dive gear and a nice balcony to hang it to dry. The pool was nice, but cold. And the hot tub bubbled but was cold. The room was beautiful and housekeeping service fantastic. We realized after 3 days that the pillows had feathers causing serious sinus inflammation each night. Once we asked for new pillows without feathers, the staff graciously replaced them. Nice balcony and fridge in the room. Nice restaurant with breakfast. Front desk staff very helpful. Swimming off the dock at the ocean is not really great -- rocky and rough. No sandy beach here. The bridge over the busy road was practical, but might be dangerous for kids.

Disappointing that the hotel is only available by cab service -- which costs about $10 each way into town. This led us to book a hotel downtown for the weekend after a week of diving so we could enjoy the great restaurants in St. Miguel. The hotel would have gotten three more days from us if they offered free transport to and from downtown. The cab fare is excessive for the two mile strip from downtown to the hotel.

Love the staff, everyone was friendly and helpful with smiles, especially Javier at the restaurant. The grounds are well maintained and relaxing. I like the location being close to most dive sites.

The room is nice but could use a little updating especially the beds. The mattress hang over the box which does not offer proper support. Shower head is leaky and low water pressure and that is something that could easily be fixed for under $10 but can greatly improve the stay experience.

Snorkeling was terrific, right off the property beach! Staff were not only friendly but were fun. Good restaurant on site. Area was convenient for what we needed. Really great little coffeehouse a block away. Grounds were a delight to walk around in, plenty of greenery. terrific view of the ocean from our balcony. Very clean.

A lot of noise from construction which I'm told will be finished by the time we come back next year. Would have liked more chairs in the beach area. We had to apprehend a couple from the pool area almost every day.

The location was right across the road from the scuba diving company that we used ( Cozumel marine World). Just had to walk over the pedestrian bridge over the road. Location was perfect for my diving trip.

No elevator to get your bags up to the 2nd or 3rd floor. But it looks like an elevator is in the works of being put in.

Loved the private beach and the really pleasant and friendly wait staff at the bar. Also loved the swim up bar in the pool. Lastly, the dive shop and its proximity to the hotel was fantastic.

It wasn't so far as didn't like, but the check in staff were not always friendly. Somerimes, I got the impression that I was interupting their phone tag with friends.

I like the pool, the friendly staff, the easy access to the dive boat dock. The meal prices are very reasonable. The desk staff helped me book two snorkel tours for reasonable prices and were able to call me a taxi when I needed it.

I didn't expect the construction mess in the hallways, but I understand that you can't close down the whole place for renovations. There was drywall dust remaining on my shoes when I entered my room.

Staff were very helpful and responsive to all of our needs and requests. They delivered 100 percent of what we asked for.

Front desk personnel are competent, professional and helpful. Unfortunately they are not particularly friendly or warm. This was not a language issue because my wife speaks Spanish as a first language and it made no difference.

The overall charm of the hotel had a nice vibe. It's in decent shape/repair considering how old it is. We were comfortable enough. The staff was very good! Being able to cross the street with the bridge was nice. Taxi's came to collect us quickly. The pool was clean and tidy. The grounds and restaurant added to the charm.

The food is very disappointing. With a little effort, it could be a lot better. There were MANY other very good options, so after the first experience never went back. Seeing all the cruise ship activity is very sad and disappointing. The traffic from the 'cruisers' made the area little hectic to navigate. The overall location was not great for us. I thought the price was high for this property.

The entire staff was amazing, from check in to check out everyone was helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable and clean. The facilities well maintained and beautiful, and the restaurant and bar were very nice.

I have zero complaints, wish we could have stayed longer.
