The location was good for us, in a few minutes we could get the city center. The room was clean and organized, the coffee machine provided in the room surprised me, I really enjoy it. The option to keep our luggage before check-in is great! The member of staff "Ines" was so great and very funny. We enjoined everything!

The bed is so comfortable and the room is very spacious

The receptionist wasn't friendly at all. I requested for a room with bathtub in advance, apparently the double rooms only come with a shower but it wasn't stated like that on booking.com and I wasn't informed earlier about this. So I asked her in a friendly manner that if it's possible for me to switch to a twin room since the price is the same. She then gave me a sneer smile which shocked me, I don't understand how on earth can a receptionist do this to a customer. I wasn't even greeted with a smile from the start till the end.

Very spacious room with a big bathroom, there were 3 of us and we had more than enough space. Beds are amazing. The location is not central, however it's not an issue because the public transport connections are excellent. There is a transit stop approx 4 minutes walking from the hotel with a tram line and several bus lines that take you to the city center quickly, and the nearest metro stop is about 8-10 minutes by walking from the hotel, also very close.

Close to bus line 21 that goes to Central Amsterdam station and 10 minute walk from the closest metro station that gives you access to eastern parts of Central Amsterdam like the zoo and botanical garden as well as the Ziggo dome if attending concerts. Quick and easy check in and check out as well as helpful and kind staff! Good air conditioning too.

The area right outside the hotel felt a bit unsafe at certain times, but not always. The room was generally very clean, but had some minor points of improvement that was visible (window sills, ventilation by the refrigerator and vacuuming quality).

The room was clean and warm, there is a thermostat in the room that it's actually working, you can adjust the temperature based on your preference. The bed was comfy, you have a chair and a desk in case you need to work from the room, there is also a fridge where you can store food. You can get the bus to the city centre in 5 mins from the hotel. There are a few supermarkets close to the hotel and some fast-food restaurants in case you get hungry in the evening. Staff was nice and helpful as well.

The wi-fi worked very poorly in the first night spent at this hotel, but for the rest of my stay it was fine.

The hotel room was clean and modern. It was close to Sloterdijk station and other trams which helped getting into town. The staff were very helpful with our many requests such as heating up our leftover food as there was no microwave in the room. Our room also had a perfect view of the sunset each day!

We hated the pillows. They were large and square. Not sure who could sleep comfortably with pillows of that size? As it is quite far from the city, you do need to use public transport to get around, and Amsterdams trams are quite hectic! We also thought €18 was a lot for the breakfast, so we opted to buy breakfast elsewhere each day.

The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was lovely. The reception staff was friendly and helpful. Supermarket, bakery and other shops next to the hotel.

Half an hour away from the city centre but bus stop is 2mins walk.

XO Hotel Blue Tower was an excellent hotel. Paid €10 to check in early (noon) and was a simple process through the kiosk and a bit of guidance from the front desk reception. Beds were firm which we like / family room has 4 singles. Train into the city just a short walk away. A little ways out from main part of the city and therefore had a difficult time getting an Uber/Bolt to take us in. Much easier to get one to the airport though. Love that there was a QR code to work the amazing (but loud) coffee machine that made espressos!! Not a lot of space for 3 med. luggage but overall a great stay with AC that works perfectly.

This hotel is not luxurious, but the room was bigger than expected, it had a comfortable bed, a good-sized bathroom with plenty of fresh towels and as a bonus, a Nespresso-type coffee machine for the very essential morning pick-me-up. The area is not the best I have been to and not very central, but it is served well by buses and trains. There are at least 3 supermarkets very close by to stock up on water and snacks. It was easily reachable from the airport and well connected to the Sugar Factory, where the conference was held.

Our room was clean and spacious, we had coffee machine and hot water to make tea. Everyday someone checked our room of we need new towels or more coffee or tea, and to make beds. The staff was friendly and we felt safe as you had to confirm your card in the elevator. Big advantage was the fact that one of the main stations - Amsterdam Sloterdijk, was very close by, we traveled by train as well as bus so it was convenient. When it comes to public transport in Amsterdam the tram stop was right outside the hotel as well as grocery shop. Yet we mostly walked and the route to the centre took us about an hour on foot.

The only thing we couldn’t figure out is the air conditioning - I was under the impression that even after changing temperature on the device the room temperature stayed the same.
