Important! Bring your passport or the driving license. It did not say anywhere on the booking page or in the confirmation email that you had to do so. I was lucky I always have my driving license on me, even though I did not drive there. The price is very good. Everywhere was clean. The room is small, but I was on my own and did not need much space. For a budget room, you get a shower, which is excellent, and there are two shared toilets on two floors. Both are spotless and one was always vacant during my stay, I did not have to wait. The towels were clean, thick and absorbent. The bed was comfortable, the TV was working and has a large selection of channels. The Staff were friendly and helpful, albeit a little inexperienced. They could not find my booking at first, but after I gave the the booking number, they did. I came in the morning, left my luggage and came back in the evening. There is no Tube station nearby, but the bus stop are right outside the guesthouse, with frequent buses.

As I mentioned before, they should have made it clear that they require a passport or a driving license to check-in. The only other thing I did not like was the noise from the road and the fact that the window was not sound-proof, nor did it have blackout curtains. For this reason, I could not get good enough sleep. I slept with my ahed away from the window as well, on the wrong end of the bed.

Cleanliness - right after entering the room, we could smell the freshness and everything looked spotless. The room service also did a great job maintaining our room. Decor - I don't know when it was renovated but it still looked fairly new. Location - rather quiet neighborhood and only a few bus stops away from Vauxhall.

Bed - a bit too narrow for a double bed. However, it's not like a much larger bed would even fit in that small room. Noise - not much, as I think we were lucky not having a room facing the street, but there was still noise coming from the coridor. Air conditioning - there was none. Not a problem for us because we came in September but if it was summer and some streak of warmer weather arrived, it would be really uncomfortable.

Chelsea Guest House was the perfect accommodation for our needs. The bed was spacious, and everything was spotless clean, from sheets to the room itself. The services were also great, cleaning was done thoroughly upon demand and we got fresh towels as well. What we really appreciated was the proximity to the public transportation means, the bus station being just a few steps near the property. There are also a bunch of restaurants and shops around.

Maybe an improvement could be adding a small fridge to the room, that would be very helpful to keep water cold throughout the day.

The room was really convenient, it was a pleasure to go back to our room after a long day of sightseeing in London. It was really clean, well-equipped (hair-dryer, even earplug, little dessert and tea every day), check in and check out were also easy. We would like to go back to London, and we'll choose this place again for sure. The stuff was also nice. Public transportation is also great, with a bus stop right in front of the hotel and the subway just a 15-minute walk away.

Maybe one thing: our room faced to the streets, so it was a little bit noisy, but it wasn't as distracting, and they give for the room earplugs as well, if anyone needs it.

The location was just as we wanted, not too close to the main busy attractions but close enough to have an easy bus ride to get to them. The hotel doesn't do breakfast but it is directly next to a Mcdonald restaurant so that suited us for just a couple of days away, if we stayed longer we may have to reconsider. The staff were very polite and helpful throughout our stay and the room was more than good enough for our 2 night stay.

The only gripe we had was one night being kept awake by a couple of noisy drive through customers at the McDonald's. Other than that everything was fine.

Lovely! The place was clean and near the city centre, beds are really comfy. The neighbourhood is safe and the place is right next to bus/metro stops. The staff was always available and kind.

Rooms are very close one to another and you can easily hear noisy guests, unluckily doors slam when closing. If you are a light-sleeper you may need earplugs. It would have been nice to have some kind of choice or included service with a nearby cafeteria or something as a breakfast option.

In a mostly residential area but a strip of shops with several eating options quite close. We only used the trains. There was an overground station just a couple of minutes away. The underground station was an easy 15 mins. We used this a lot and felt quite safe even walking back at night. Our room was in the second building next door and our room was facing the street. Although small, it was perfectly adequate. We did get some noise from the road but mostly from the guests upstairs stomping up and down. There is no lift. The staff at reception next door were very helpful every time we spoke with them. They assisted us to book a taxi to St. Pancras station to catch the Eurostar. We found the taxi company they organised was great.

Everything was great. Clean, spacious room, comfy bed, toiletries, coffee and welcoming biscuit provided. Near bus stops and within 15min of walk to undergroud stations. Very helpful and polite staff. Many choices of supermarket and places to eat close by. At first there seemed to be a problem with the booking but eventually everything was sorted out and taken care of by the receptionist.

Although it didn't matter to us, in case of someone carrying large luggage, there is no elevator and staircase is quite narrow.

The room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the provided kettle, with coffee, tea and biscuits: and the TV with lots of channels. The location is nice next to the train (over ground) and a few minutes/blocks away from the underground and many shops and food places (McDonalds is next door).

I think this is a typical set up for a house that has been turned into a hotel. With that in mind, these are gentle criticisms; room was really snug, and it was tight sharing with another person and luggage. The stairway is tight, no elevator and only one room key, which can be tricky with more than one person.

The staff was very nice. They first gave us a room at lower level and we didn’t really like it i felt a little claustrophobic, but we asked for another room and they were very receptive about it so we got another one. The location is not bad we took the metro to the center and it takes around 40 minutes to get to the big ben for example. When i m staying somewhere the water pressure is very important for me and the shower was great except it didn’t have a telephone head and as a girl it is important that you can take an only body shower cause you don t always wanna wash your hair but that can be easily changed.
