The staff were excellent and very helpful. The location is ideal and a short walk from Vauxhall travel stations. The atmosphere at night in the pub was great (live football). Dinner was excellent (calamari starter and burger main).

The noise at the back of the hotel was a bit loud and could hear staff out the back during their breaks.

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The building itself is absolutely gorgeous — both the façade and interior have a charming, old-world character that’s hard to find. The rooms, although not modern, are beautifully maintained and full of personality. A lovely touch is the flowers on every window, which really brighten the atmosphere. One major highlight was the breakfast — hearty, tasty, and more than enough to start the day. Special thanks to the Ukrainian chef who came in early just so we could eat before our early departure. That kind of service doesn’t go unnoticed! The staff overall were very friendly, helpful, and accommodating throughout our stay. We also appreciated the bar downstairs — it had a great atmosphere, with a nice crowd and good energy in the evenings. The location is very convenient: it’s close to two metro stations, making it easy to get anywhere in the city quickly. For those who like walking, Big Ben, Trafalgar Square, and Buckingham Palace are all within a 35–40 minute walk. Plus, there's a nearby Sainsbury’s and plenty of bars and restaurants in the area. Another plus: the street is quiet and peaceful. Even with the window open, we didn’t hear any car noise, which made for a restful night. The rooms were also very clean.

Our room was booked for three people, and while it was a bit compact for that number, it was still cozy and perfectly fine considering the very reasonable price. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. There’s no air conditioning, but thankfully the room stayed cool enough with the window open. The window itself had an old frame, though it was a bit heavy and tricky to open at first — but the staff were quick to assist, which we really appreciated.

Friendly staff and the convenience of the pub downstairs for having a drink or a meal after a long day of sightseeing. Transportation (by bus or subway) to the centre was was convenient (20 to 40 mins depending on the area). Quite decent breakfast (we had the British classic).

Staying somewhere close to the center of London is very expensive, as we all know. We were looking for a compromise in distance/price but felt that the value for money could be better. The decoration is a bit outdated and a bit too flowery for our taste (also, plastic flowers are a fire hazard). The room was a bit small and facing a wall, but quiet. The bed a bit too soft for my liking. In sum, it's fine and convenient for a few days of tourism but definitely not memorable.

Location was great, and despite being joined with a bar it was quiet and check-in was straightforward. Bed was comfortable and bathroom had the neccessary supplies. Staff was also really nice and helpful when needed. Also I got a complementary beer when checking in which felt like a heaven to receive on a hot day and after a lot of travelling.

Certain items from the included breakfast were not present during our stay, not a big issue but still something that happened. On the hotter days, the room was incredibly hot, with the fan not working properly it made it hard to sleep comfortably during the nights.

This was my third stay at the Griffin Belle and I keep returning, due to the wonderful welcoming staff there (Lauren and Michelle in particular), the fact it is a very welcoming, safe place for lone female travellers and also the proximity to the Oval cricket ground.

On this occasion, I had one of the smaller bedrooms and it was very hot in there. I did request a fan on the first night and was advised that there wasn't one available, but to request one again in the morning. I did that and was told it would be put in my room during the day, however this unfortunately didn't happen. On the previous two occasions I stayed, fans were already provided in the rooms.

This is the second year in a row we've chosen this hotel for our stay in London, and it definitely won’t be the last. Everything was perfect: the breakfast is delicious and plentiful, and the staff is always kind, present and helpful. A special thanks goes to Michelle, the lovely woman who welcomed us both this year and last. She is truly kind, helpful, charismatic, and very professional. This hotel was exactly what we needed. We highly recommend it if you're looking for comfort, a convenient location (bus stops, the tube, and the train station are all nearby, making getting around very easy), and a quiet area. Another highlight is the pub on the ground floor! We had the pleasure of dining there — the food was excellent, with generous portions.

The staff were very welcoming and helpful. We had a slight issue with the electrics on the first day but this was sorted straight away. Our room was the Opal Rooom. It was very pleasant and clean. It had all that we needed, kettle, iron and for my beard....a hairdryer. The bed and pillows were great. Best night sleep in a long time. The breakfast in the morning was lovely. I had the Good Girl breakfast both days and my wife had the scrambled egg on toast. Really tasty and excellently cooked. Overall, a really enjoyable hotel.

Lots to choose from at breakfast. Decor is fresh, modern, and SO pretty! Great, well-appointed rooms. Even contains a hair dryer, which I didn't expect. (This was not listed in "amenities" and I almost didn't book there because of that, so be sure to add it to your listing!) Great shower. Clean. Good service. Restaurant down below is lovely! Great food. Nearby bus/train stations.

The pillows are lumpy because they use some sort of egg crate foam. This is my biggest complaint - the pillows were not comfortable. I'd invest in actual pillows with stuffing. Other than that, very comfortable!

The staff there was very nice and helpful. The interior design was very much to our liking. The food and drinks were always lovely and quickly at our table.

Not having a toilet brush for a week was pretty annoying and although the staff cleaned the toilets, when you are not alone in the room you need to be able to clean it throughout the day. One of our rooms (on the top floor) was kind of small and it was very hot in there at the end of the day which could hardly be changed because of the small window.
