KēSa House is more of a hotel than an accommodation place, as it appears to cater for both long- and short-term residency. It offers a private lounge for guests, and has a communal kitchen and launderette, making it a little different from traditional hotels. Despite arriving at the accommodation well in advance of the usual check-in, Seeham arranged for an immediate check-in. Having visited Singapore on a number of occasions, I have become quite used to budget-medium priced accommodation meaning small compact rooms, and this was no exception. Being small in size does not, however, necessarily mean not having all of what is available in more spacious hotel rooms. comfortable bed, which spread from one wall to the other, making getting into (or out of) bed a potential act of intimacy. The room also contained a fold away bench, enabling work to still be conducted, a small refrigerator, and plenty of storage areas to ensure tripping over luggage does not become a hazard. The bathroom is also very small, and if long legged (as I am), some side saddling may be required when using the toilet. Small shower, but excellent water pressure and temperature. Also provided, showing that they truly are a blessing to residents, is the provision of face cloths. Added to its quirkiness is a number of resident notifications placed around the room and throughout the building. All very relevant though. Bottomless water, tea and coffee are also a very wonderful asset, as is the ability to do laundry on site. Very well located for using public transport into the city centre (and beyond) for sightseeing and shopping. Also surrounded by a number of eateries of various ethnicities, which may engender some street noise up till around midnight, but guests are warned of this before making bookings, so the onus lies on them, not the accommodation providers, and it is a little unfair to use this as a subsequent complaint. Excellent complimentary (and secured) Wi-fi.

Nothing.

The hotel is really nice-very clean and it's wonderful to stay in the historic rowhouse/shophouse area. The room, while small, was also very efficient in terms of layout. Overall the location was good-close to many tourist areas. The staff were great-very friendly and professional. But...

The issue, which isn't the hotel's fault is that it's VERY noisy at night as there is music blasting from the bars on the street. That music goes until midnight. Even the ear plugs that I had didn't work to muffle the super loud music. So, if you want to stay here-just keep this in mind if you like to go to bed early..

The Hotel location is excellent. It’s near by the Outram Park exit 4, walk around 3mins. There are so many restaurants and bar around here. Maxwell food court also nearby the hotel, walk around 5-7mins can get there. In conclusion, the price is not cheaper, but I think is reasonable, considered about the convenience.

One night, when I returned to my room, I found the small spider on the wall. I went to the front desk and told the hotel staff to alert this matter, although this is just a small matter and the hotel staff promised will take care of it while the housekeeping cleaning my room, but it still scared my girlfriend and me🥹

The service was extremely attentive. Everyone was so pleasant and accommodating. The room was cozy and comfortable. I love all of the things that the establishment has done in the sustainable hospitality scenario.

This may or may not be a necessary criticism. As they warn you in your reservation that sometimes street noise can be loud. Understand that the hotel has installed double playing glass on all of their windows so it does minimize the noise. But, if you do have a street side room between the hours of 8:00 and 11:00 in the evening, the bars across the street get loud. I would recommend requesting a room on the opposite side of the hallway away from the streets, and I'm sure that problem is alleviated.

The location is very convenient, near the Outram Park MRT station, where there is easy access to the CBD area. Also, you can unlimitedly refill water by using the 2 bottles that they offered in the room. Moreover, the coin laundry that they provided was affordable!

There’s no window in their standard room.

Great Stay with Excellent Service and Location Everything about our stay was wonderful. The booking process was easy, and communication was prompt—even across time zones. Selven and Melwa (apologies if the names are not spelled correctly) were incredibly helpful. We arrived late, and my mom, brother, and niece arrived around midnight, but Selven took the time to welcome us and clearly explain the rules of the property (KēSa). Since my mother uses a wheelchair, they thoughtfully accommodated us with a larger room. We booked three rooms in total, and all were clean, comfortable, and nicely maintained. The only minor issue was the lack of clear housekeeping hours. One day, we returned around 3 p.m. and found our room had not yet been cleaned. I asked four different staff members and received different answers from each. Eventually, the room was cleaned a couple of hours later, and although cleaning often occurred quite late, the staff always did an excellent job. Toiletries were available upon request. The location was another highlight—just a short walk to Chinatown, which we loved, and very close to Maxwell Food Center (with 100+ food stalls) and Maxwell MRT station. I went for a 4 a.m. walk due to jet lag and felt completely safe. The shared full kitchen was a major plus. It was immaculately clean and well-equipped with water, a microwave, stove, utensils, and plates. The living room, terrace, and bar-style seating were all very comfortable and inviting. Other guests were also polite and respectful, and the area remained peaceful with no disruptive noise at night—ideal for restful sleep even though it's in the heart of Chinatown. A special shout-out to the older cleaning lady who, despite limited English, was always eager to help—often without being asked. We also appreciated being able to store my mother’s wheelchair in the front office garage. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience. Clean facilities, great staff, and a perfect location.

Everything was great, but we do wish the housekeeping schedule had been clearly displayed or communicated. It would have helped us plan to be out of the room during cleaning times, as there were a few instances when staff arrived while we were still inside. A simple notice or heads-up would make the experience even smoother.

This hotel is perfectly situated to explore the wonderful Singapore. Within walking distance (very close) of Chinatown and all of the ‘must visit’ Hawker Centres and various MRT stations to easily access other attractions and sites. The Hotel is spotlessly clean and provided great facilities for our 3 night stay. Would highly recommend.

A couple of minor considerations - which would not stop me staying here again. 1. The basic rooms do not have windows - just for awareness 2. The cost of drinks in the bar directly opposite are the most expensive we experienced in Singapore

Staff and location was 10/10. Only a short walk to Maxwell Station, it was convenient to get anywhere in Singapore. Endless food options around and all open quite late. The hotel had a small kitchen which allowed us to make our own teas/coffees and would be good for those who want to cook their own meals (although, why would you need to when you're in Singapore haha). There is also a washer and drier on the top floor which was very convenient for us after our long 4 weeks away. Would love to stay here again.

Room is on the smaller size but would be quite standard for Singapore.

Air-conditioning was good, and this is very important in Singapore. Bed was comfortable. Shower wasn't that small at all (I've seen comments about it) and the temperature and pressure were excellent. Good Internet. Excellent location, basically not far from much of the action.

I sleep with a mask and earplugs as a rule, so I wasn't bothered by the subway or the creaking corridor. However, if you are a very light sleeper, this is probably not the hotel for you. Please put some handsoap by the basin in the bathroom. There must be an environmentally sound way to do it.

I enjoyed being walking distance to the metro or easily walking to Chinatown on foot. It was great to have the option of so many restaurants nearby too. There is a temple just down the street and I managed to witness their prayer one early morning while I was walking down the street. I loved they included glass bottles which we could refill with water in the kitchenette down the corridor. 7/11 is around the corner too for any snacks and drinks.

There is a bit of noise on the street and little privacy once the curtains are open. If you're from the city this shouldn't bother you. The bathroom was uncomfortably small but it didn't cause me any issues. I would have liked a bar of soap or handwash for cleaning my hands.
