The staff were the highlight for me, all of them unfailingly friendly and helpful. The room was OK but quite spartan, but pretty much what I expected. Great bed, though, and this is my perfect Singapore location, a few minutes from Chinatown Complex for fabulous cheap eats, three MRT stations, and coffee shops. But Keong Saik is still relatively quiet. If you get bothered by early morning calls to prayer (I don't, I love it), do bear in mind that there's a Hindu temple next door.

This was a big one for me ... the windows behind those fabulous original shutters were painted shut, and the shutters were closed, so no chance of any fresh air, and only a limited amount of daylight coming into the room despite a wall of windows. In Chinatown where windowless rooms are common, this was one of the reasons I chose KINN. The place has been recently renovated, and not retaining/restoring those shutters seems like vandalism to me. And the cheap furniture and fittings (including the bathroom tiles) look ok now as they're still quite new, but they'll get tatty very quickly.

Location was excellent, nearby 3 MRT stations and many nice restaurants and cafes. Staff were kind, friendly and attentive. Place is quite new so everything is modern and extremely clean, great value for money and would definitely recommend staying.

Our bathroom got clogged very easily but was fixed after a few days, and the staff was very attentive to any needs e.g. extra towels etc. so wasn’t much of an issue.

The location is great with many restaurants, bars and cafes in the area. A large hawker center is just a couple of hundred meters away (Maxwell food center). - If you have to go any further in town you can take the nearby metro (TE/NE/EW to 'Outram Park', exit 4). I think one of the lines takes you to the airport, we took a taxi. There are also several bus lines. Very convenient. - The room is modern and has a generous size, it is cleaned daily and has good air conditioning. - Hotel staff was very welcoming. - Downstairs is a small room where you can get hot and cold filtered water from a machine. - Room access is gained via a number you define. This is convenient imo.

There is no glass or curtain separating the shower from the rest of the bathroom. Accordingly, the entire room is getting wet once you take a shower. That is a bit of an annoyance. - The shutters cannot be opened. You can only look above the top and see the tips of the neighboring buildings and the sky but that's it. - Noise from the street can be a bit of an issue if you're sensitive to it. We stayed three nights and only Saturday it was fairly noticeable the other nights were ok. On the bright side sound insulation within the building seems good as we never heard any neighbors. - As with many hotels there is too little shelf space in the bathroom.

The location is very convenient, in between outram park and maxwell MRT. There're many food and cafes around especially the China Town Food Complex where you could find food from day till night. The room is in a good size compare to the other rooms in Singapore, the key-less arrangements is so convenient where i don't have to worry about my key anytime while feeling secured.

I didn't like that the hotel smells a bit humid, but the rest of the stay was perfect with AC turned on.

The location is fantastic, in a wonderful heritage area and close by to both touristy and everyday local areas. A great vibe. We really did like everything about our 4 night stay and will certainly return. Evena was a great ambassador for Singapore!

That we weren’t staying longer!!

Staff were very friendly, polite and welcoming and thank you to Andy, who was very helpful with advice about the local area. Location was great, 25 minute taxi ride to & from the airport, then 5-10 minute walk from underground stations (ie Chinatown or Maxwell), which take you direct to main tourist sites. Plenty of restaurants and cafes on same street, along with a 7-11 shop. Bed was very comfortable. Shower great. Coffee/tea making facilities available in room, with a communal kitchen on ground floor. I noticed on booking.com that room size is noted, please take note of this before booking, the size of our room was ok for us, when taken into consideration with other factors for us. We opted for room with a window, were on 3nd floor and whilst some street noise, it went quiet at 11.30pm.

The hotel is a heritage building with a very modern and minimalistic interior design, which is why I chose it. As a solo traveler I was mostly fine with the size of the room and everything inside (kettle, hairdryer etc.), with some exceptions. There was a sort of communal kitchen (on the ground floor) with water dispenser and microwave. I loved the code locks on the doors, cos I didn't have to worry about losing the key. The staff gave me a tour of the shared space when I arrived and was very pleasant throughout my whole stay. The location of the hotel overall is top notch, near to MRT and bus stops, hawker centers, money exchange places etc.

Not a fan of showers not being separated from the rest of the bathroom, cos the water splashes everywhere. Even a simple curtain would be appreciated. There was no wardrobe, only a few hangers. The noise outside at night can be a challenge for people sensitive to noises or having trouble falling asleep. There's a bar on a street that played a very loud music till midnight. In addition to that, there was music played very early in the morning, and I suspect it was the Temple next to the hotel. I don't know what I'd do without earplugs.

Great location for exploring China town and easy transport links to the rest of the city. Big cushy pillows. Bed comfortable (on the firm side). TV with streaming services. All basic amenities provided. A warm welcome from a friendly staff member for my very late check in. Everything was sufficient to my needs.

This was a one night stopover so I booked the budget room offering. It was very small, even by Singapore standards. When showering, you are standing over the toilet. Everything gets wet. My room had no windows. The bathroom had a dank smell. Sound proofing is not good or non existent. I could hear neighbouring rooms water running, toilet flushing. Cleaning staff started vacuuming early in the morning.

The location is in the heart of Chinatown and was easily reachable from the Airport via their MRT system. The room was a great size for a solo traveller (may feel cosy for two people in terms of space) with a comfy double bed and overall clean room. The staff were really nice, taking me to my room and explaining the mechanics of the hotel and allowed me to leave my luggage after check-out. There was a pantry on the ground floor which could be utilised and the room was cleaned everyday (which surprised me as I don’t remember seeing a hanger to prevent this/travelled in Taiwan where cleaning needed to be requested hut was very much welcome). Additionally, there is a great cheescake place my Singapore recommended (queic) just one street away. I would definitely stay at this place again!

Minor issue but to be aware of, the bathroom is a wetroom i.e. the shower is not separated from the toilet so whenever you shower, the whole bathroom most likely will be wet

Location, location...in the heart of Chinatown with 2 food courts in walking distance. Close proximity to the MRT (Outram Road, Maxwell). Good sleeping quality, good wifi, plenty of hot water ☺️ There is a/c and the tea/coffee/bottled water supplies are topped up everyday. I requested a room with a window and got it (#308) - the window couldn't be opened but it was nice to see the world out there! I loved that the door is keyless - I put in my own password for the key. There is a small kitchenette where you can eat takeaway food. Breakfast is not provided, but you can purchase it on-site (Western). Great staff. Wished we had stayed longer! Highly recommended.

I felt that the kitchenette could've been more friendly for guests wanting to eat in. Guests are requested to clean up after themselves, but a washcloth wasn't available to wipe the table down. Even paper towels would've been good. I ended up purchasing a wash cloth of my own! Very few photos for the site - I booked on a leap of faith!
