Our room was gorgeous and very comfortable! The view of the ocean was gorgeous, and the room was fantastic. The staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful. The location was great - we could walk to most of the Old Town in a few minutes, and while we found review complaining about being woken by the call to prayer in the morning, we never heard it from our room. The bed was super comfortable, and the room could be made quite dark by the curtains. The concierge recommended a really fantastic rooftop dinner that originally I was a bit skeptical of at first, but it ended up being one of the nicest dinners we had on our 3 week holiday. Very very little to actually complain about with our stay - the accommodation and staff were truly wonderful.

The breakfast was fine, though the breakfast staff didn't seem to understand what a dairy allergy was. Also, a minor complaint, but they were almost too attentive - we just wanted to eat our breakfast in peace, but they kept interrupting us to clear plates, give new utensils, check on the latest thing we put on our plate at the buffet, say hello, explain the food, etc. I appreciate they're trying to get things perfect by being attentive, but man - chill out a bit and let us just eat in peace! Oh, also - seeing a man shit on the beach in front of the hotel from my room. That was a real down point. 🤢🤮

Park Hyatt - Zanzibar This hotel gets an absolute 5 stars from us. Firstly the staff were so welcoming and kind making sure every detail was in place, going over and beyond. Always smiling and greeting us kindly. Thank you guys. The hotel was stunningly beautiful and so was our room. The room was very clean, overlooking the ocean, and we felt very lucky to get an early check in, which was badly needed after the very long flight from Copenhagen. The amenities in the room were 5 star and very beautifully integrated into the Zanzibar styled rooms. The view from the room was amazing and calm and at the same time lively with different types of boats sailing in and people playing on the beach, doing morning yoga, with little to no noise. The food was excellent and the presentation of it, even more so. Among a lot of other things, they had at breakfast table thirst quenching coconut water and the coconut guy was always all smiles and ready to prepare a coconut for us. The omelette guy also made the very best omelettes ever! The staff was very helpful in arranging tours and transportation with a very capable guide (Seif) and a very safe driver (Abdul), the other drivers we tried on the island drove like hell. On our guided tour of historic Stone Town, it became apparent that the highly humid climate of the area enhances intensive mold growth on the buildings, it’s just a part of the towns charm. I do hope though that the Park Hyatt can and will always protect their beautiful building and especially their high class bathrooms from this mold, as there was a moldy smell from the bathroom. Smell of mold in room.

I loved the spacious, well-located property with a wonderful staff to take care of us. Rooms were beautifully designed and offered great views. Breakfast was lovely. They even had dosa, coconut water and potato kachori.

1. The property needs to offer more vegetarian options in their lunch & dinner. We really struggled to eat lunch there, especially when other eateries in Stone Town were closed on a Sunday afternoon. For a property that charges so much, perhaps they could have more Indian or Mediterranean cuisine for people who don’t eat meat. 2. The room had some non-functional fittings like bathroom door handle, part of the flush press button, the emergency light next to the door, bathroom TV etc. We were there to put our feet up so really didn’t care about such things. But perhaps the hotels can pay more attention to such things.

Fantastic location, friendly and helpful staff and stunning hotel. rooms were a very good size. Tye dining room, terrace and pool all overlook the ocean and have amazing sunset views. Breakfast buffet was delicious and the hotel also had dedicated staff with fresh coconut water (drunk from the coconut).

Nothing - it was all amazing.

The style & the design of the property were intricate, detailed, special. The employees were knowledgeable, helpful, attentive. And the view from the room balcony was spectacular. Jonathan at breakfast was especially attentive and kind, providing best service and making sure you are well cared for and enjoying your time.

The pressure of water in the bathtub was not sufficient enough. So couldn’t enjoy the beautiful bathtub in the room, unfortunately.

Room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was nice with many options. Toiletries are branded and nice. Staff are very friendly and nice. They even let us use the facilities of the hotel after we have checked out. The room had a lovely view towards the blue sea out of Stone Town.

It is very luxurious but still don't think it justified the high price. It is 2 to 3 times more expensive than other hotels in Stone Town.

The hotel manager took every effort to ensure we had an enjoyable stay. The restaurant and in-room dining were both excellent. The Pol Roger champagne for breakfast was a nice touch. The sea view terrace is a lovely place to relax, watch the traditional boats, and the amazing sunsets. All the staff are extremely helpful. The location is wonderful - tree-lined circle, several restaurant, two heritage hotels and very close to all the main shopping streets and winding lanes of Stone Town.

Beautiful clean room. Very welcoming staff always ready to assist. Bountiful very tasty and diverse breakfast. Friday night BBQ dinner was amazing with beef, chicken, fish, lobster and prawns prepared in front of the quests by the sea, accompanied by live music.

We booked for a family with 2 children, but there was only a bed for 1 child prepared in the room when we arrived.

The breakfast had limited options, but what was available was delicious and fresh. The hotel's location is excellent, close to stone town, Al-Furdah, cafes, and tourist attractions within walking distance. The room was spacious, equipped with all necessary amenities, and offered a view of the ocean. The staff were helpful, cooperative, and cheerful, especially the receptionist Said, who provided us with many services that made me decide to stay at Park Hyatt on my next visit.

Breakfast is good. Although bacon is missing. And next time inform in advance if operational or not. The pool was the reason to select that place and hotel. Disappointed. Offered the pool in SerenA- but doesnt make sense- why do we cross and walk that side and not for our convenience.
