Older 5 star resort located on a nice stretch of beach. The pool area was great for families to enjoy and relax. Good basic gym that was open from 6am - 10pm, that was well spaced out and never crowded. Great daily buffet on offer, which had a wide variety of Vietnamese and western food options. Our apartment and all of the common areas were always neat and tidy. Walking distance to Ahn Bang Beach which is fantastic as you gives you access to a variety of local restaurants and bars.

Our apartment was fitted with a half kitchen which would have been great for basic meals and snacks, however you were not allowed to use the facilities and you were fined if you brought in external food and drinks. If this rule is in place room service needs to be available and other local restaurants need to be open for longer hours. Also the resort sits on a nice stretch of sand and the lifeguards don’t allow people to go in the water and when you walk on the beach, they over react.

This is an amazing resort, yes there are some negative reviews of upkeep and shops not opened but this is a result of covid and its impact to the whole area. There are some external areas that could do with a lick of paint but nothing that is overly bad nor dangerous. Rooms are spotlessly clean as is the main foyer areas, dining areas and the rooms are cleaned to the highest standard. Breakfast selection was great with a good choice between western and Asian options. Eggs cooked to order was great The pool areas is amazing and the staff are incredible. Mia was the concierge that looked after our family and her recommendations for things to do and restaurants in the local area and in Hoi An were perfect, Mia is passionate about tourism in the local area and it shows in her knowledge. The local community of An Bang has some amazing places to eat, great massages and the beach is good to swim at, can not recommend this resort highly enough

The Pearl Hoi An is a 8 minute taxi ride away from the Old Town. On Grab this equates to about 80 - 90,000 Vietnamese Dong. The hotel is very large, has a massive poo, a private beach area and plenty of outside areas to seat. The food here is very good and quite a varied menu. The poolside bar is lovely and a full array of drinks and snacks. Our room was a two bed ocean front facing room. The equipment in the room was good, lovely bathrooms with rainfall showers. The beds were extremely comfortable, my wife is extremely fussy over bed comfort and she gave it 10/10. The aircon in te apartment was excellent, one in each bedroom and one in the lounge. The staff are to a man/woman lovely, nothing is too much trouble. When we had a small issue - not hotel or staff related James the manager listened and did what he could to resolve the issue - think German tourists and sun loungers! The communal areas are large and well kept, as are the extensive gardens. The hotel appears to cater mainly to Asian tourists, but it was superb for us westerners as well. The breakfast buffet is enormous and very varied. Prices in the hotel are higher than outside venues, but not stupidly so. My wife used the spa and said it was extremely good. In short this is a well priced hotel/apartment development with a wide range of accommodation types. Good location on the beach.

Would be nice to have bacon on the buffest for breakfast. The area with the pool tables in shuts a bit early at 8pm. The apartments should come automatically with cutlery and crockery.

The apartment was a great size and the beds super comfy. Pool was great even in the rain! Great breakfast. The gardens and buildings are kept immaculately clean and manicured. I would probably stay here again as the apartments were excellent for a family.

The property has definitely been impacted by Covid, it’s a huge property that clearly used to have a shopping mall and a vibe but now they are all closed except for the spa, a cinema and a very basic mini-mart. This creates a bit of a ghost town vibe. It was unfortunately raining the entire time which probably didn’t help.

The rooms were clean and looked liked they had recently be refurbished. The beds were comfortable and the shower was excellent. Breakfast had a variety of choice. The pool was large and location right on the water was brilliant. The staff were very helpful, our aircon wasn't working in the bedroom and they fixed it right away. Nothing was too much of a problem. We loved our room and our stay here with our family and friends.

They need more pool lounges, a couple of times we went to the pool and could not find anywhere to sit. If there were more lounges that would have been better. The food by the pool and the chicken shop was expensive and took too long to be prepared. It was quicker to walk down to An Bang and get food than go to the pool bar. Buffet breakfast can be very busy, and hard to get a table, although the staff were helpful.

The location of this hotel is unbeatable, right on the beachfront and a beautiful resort. We had the two bed deluxe apartment and it was ideal for our family, cleaned everyday and I liked the little extras, free daily laundry for up to 4 items and also afternoon tea and dinner vouchers. The pool was nice and big, and we were able to obtain sun loungers most of the time. The walk to or from An Bang village area for food and drinks was lovely or a very short and cheap cab ride. Well equipped gym also that wasn't very busy.

I found some of the staff a little unfriendly, mainly at breakfast time. It was very busy every morning and they always seemed to run out of coffee. Also, for a 5* resort I thought it was a little strange that only filtered coffee was available, there wasn't the option to order any barista made drinks unless you paid for them.

Our Villa wasn't available the first 3 days when we arrived at the The Pearl but the staff especially James kept us informed before we arrived met us on arrival took good care of us made sure we had comfortable accommodation even discounts and some of there services provided where amazing

There wasn't anything we didn't like, maybe the only thing was there was no washing machine and dryer in our villa, but it was our first time in Vietnam so wasn't sure if that was just the norm there, we did get offered for 4 items a day to be provided free of charge though so that was appreciated

Loved the pool area and private beach. Well designed with children in mind. Friendly staff ... we enjoyed lots of drinks and bar snacks. Great buffet breakfast. Good spa treatment. Gym was well equipped no A/C but had fans so a little hot. Good location. Comfy beds ! Also good indoor play area which is nice and cool.

Shame you can't cook in the apartments as kids don't always want to eat out every night. Lots of empty retail units (post covid) which would be great if open again.
