Everything in this place is way above any expectation! I could start from the amazing garden and the decent man who takes care of it with so much love and dedication. The rooms are more than comfortable and cured in every little detail. Just impossible to imagine till you are not here. I never been in my life in such a pleasant place (and I am a 50 years old lady who travelled the world for real). Cleanest place you could ever been. It feels like be in a different world, a fairy tale place.. The young ladies in the reception are unbelievable! They take care of every single aspect and more (beside be stunning beauties), one of them even change my bed when cleaning ladies were busy.. The cleaning ladies also are very helpful and always smiling. Plus wash your close very well! The ambient is lovely and you can meet interesting people, or being alone in your space! Quite at night! Really really great value for money. Least but not last, a delicious and various breakfast served in a fabulous restaurant. I could never say enough about this place, just: THANK YOU FOR THE BEAUTIFUL JOURNEY

Tucked away in a peaceful, palm-lined lane just a short walk from the beach, this homestay is everything you hope for when you want an authentic, relaxing experience. What made our stay even more special was Ms. Luna, who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. On a rainy afternoon, when we were feeling a little stuck, she surprised us with some freshly prepared snacks — warm, homemade, and incredibly thoughtful. It turned what could have been a gloomy day into one of our most memorable. It felt like being cared for by family. The rooms are clean, cosy, and surrounded by lush greenery. The vibe is laid-back and genuine — perfect for travellers looking to escape the busy tourist areas and connect with nature and local hospitality. We left feeling refreshed and so grateful for the kindness we received!

As soon as I arrived, the team made me feel right at home. They truly are the heart of this place, going above and beyond to ensure every guest feels welcome - always ready to help. For shared rooms, the bunk beds are so comfortable and big, allowing for space and privacy. They also include a private cupboard with locks - again really big, I could fit my guitar inside :) Each room is surrounded by lush green trees and plants, it's a little escape from the busy street, yet close to shops, restaurants and the sea. I can't recommend Under the Coconut Tree enough. It’s my favorite place to stay, and I have no doubt I’ll be back again!

The place is located not that far away from the beach and main road with a lot of eating options. The garden around is nicely done and maintained. The bungalow we rented was beautifully finished and cleaned on daily basis including providing lemon grass incense to deter the ever-present mosquitos. There was a good choice for breakfast which catered for vegetarians too. Luna and Tien at the reception desk are absolutely lovely and helpful, there is nothing that they would not do when asked. We rented bikes on site and explored the neighbourhood which was very pretty (water buffaloes everywhere). Luna helped to organise a snorkelling trip to Cham Islands which was a nice experience too.

There is nothing I did not like about the accommodation itself however, Hoi An while pretty is quite tourist orientated and feels less genuine than other places we have seen in Vietnam.

We loved our stay! Such a beautiful Homestay with a lovely room. They refreshed it everyday with drinking water, new towels, made the bed and even had a little oil burner so the room smelt nice :) we were pleasantly surprised there was air conditioning as we didn’t think that was included. There’s a lovely chill vibe to this place if you want to meet some fellow travellers or hang out in the cozy lobby area. Walking distance to a beach and complimentary breakfast at a cafe down the road! The reception lady who welcomed us was super nice and gave us some advice for things to do/ places to eat etc

Obviously with it being lovely bamboo houses there were some bugs (there’s a fly net around the bed so no issue when sleeping) And a little rat managed to scurry into the room!

A wonderful place if you prefer a charming and authentic space rather than a modern hotel. The place has a wonderful and serene vibe with a nice mix of travellers from young backpackers to families and feel more like hostels used to be. So nice to see that these places can still exist. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I stayed there 6 nights and was so happy I chose this place. It’s an easy bike ride from hoi an centre. The breakfast included at a nearby cafe is very nice and healthy. I stayed two nights in the dorm and the space is pretty nice and roomy. Only thing is that the bunk beds could do with an update as the beds move a lot when people in the top bunk move so it did feel a bit uncomfortable in the bottom bunk and I woke up several times in the nights. However the price for a dorm bed is unbeatable so just a thing to consider if you’re a light sleeper.

This is one of the coolest and most amazing hostels/homestays l've ever been. It's so beautiful and tranquil and there are lanterns everywhere. The vibe is really nice and chill. Our host Tiên is one of the nicest people you will meet on your trip in Vietnam. She gave us some really good recommendations for restaurants, tailors, spa's etc ❤️❤️🍀🙏🏼 The location is great as well. Lots of great restaurants nearby, the beach is super close. And a great spa opposite of the street. We loved our massages there. Hoi An was amazing because of our stay here. The city centre was too busy and touristy for us. But the area of the hostel is great.

Nothing. It was all amazing ❤️❤️ If anything; the pillows on the bed could be softer (but that's a personal preference) 😇

It was one of the most welcoming, friendly, and relaxed places I've stayed in Vietnam. Great experience from start to finish, with people from all walks of life. I could have stayed longer! Great location, 2 mins from the beach and a short drive into the town. Comfortable beds and always kept clean. Would recommend to anyone visiting Hoi An

The room was not fully closed from the elements, so it could potentially get a bit cold, although personally, i was fine during my stay and left before the weather changed. The walls are very thin, so full conversations can be heard at times.

I loved staying at Under the Coconut! It’s surrounded by nature and has such a relaxed, peaceful vibe. The location is perfect (just a 5-minute walk to the beach) and the whole place feels like a little hidden gem. Really tasty breakfast is served at a nearby café with super friendly staff. Also, big bonus: there are some adorable, chill dogs hanging around the hostel that made the stay even better. Would definitely come back!

There are some insects because there is so much greenery but that’s only normal in nature so not a big minus but good to set expectations

Very good location with a couple of minutes from the beach. A small oasis. Fairly quiet and calm, with a beautiful garden and nice rustic bungalow with awesome decorations. We loved everything, our only regret is we didn't stay longer. Tasty breakfast served at a nearby restaurant. We were slightly worried because of some of the reviews mentioning rats etc, but didn't need to worry. There is a lot of nature around so it is obvious there will be creatures, but this was not at all disturbing, there are no rats running around! Very good atmosphere in general, special thanks to Luna!

The only thing I was missing was something to wipe the bathroom floor with after the shower and a reserve mosquito smoke :)
