Fabulous view from the room. Loved the steps down to the pebbly beach and the crystal clear sea. Great pool with plenty of space. Restaurant good, if expensive, but again it comes with stunning views. Helpful staff in the hotel - restaurant/bar staff less attentive.

Not a dislike as such but for people to be aware ... It's a good 20 minute walk into Bastia, and taxis either only take cash OR it's a €15 minimum if you pay by card. Which was annoying as Alivi is 5 minutes in a taxi from the ferry port, but we were not up for slogging uphill with suitcases in the afternoon heat. On that, there is no taxi rank at the ferry port. You have to go into the office, get a card and physically phone for a taxi, which is a bit weird.

I stayed here for 3 nights with a friend while exploring Bastia and other parts of Corsica. The bedroom was perfect as it was very spacious with very comfortable beds, and the balcony featured a table and two chairs overlooking the sea, almost right on the edge of the sea itself. The swimming pool area was the perfect place to relax between going out to do things during the day, and it is located right next to the cliff that drops straight into the sea, which I loved.

Although the breakfast wasn't included in the booking, it can be paid separately, but it was approximately €22.00 each, which some people may find quite expensive. It was served as a buffet, so you can select as much as you like, but this wouldn't necessarily be suitable for everyone.

What you absolutely can not overestimate is the location right on the water. .... really really beautiful. The rooms were very clean and well kept - although spare, we had no complaints at all. The staff, especially Corine at the front desk was excellent.

The restaurant on the property was very limited. We were there for 5 days and given other options to dine (other than pizza) were a bit of a hike, I think this restaurant would have benefited from an expanded menu and quite possibly another chef.

This hotel made us upset we were only there for one night. We loved the access to the water and the beach. The facilities were quite nice. It felt like we were getting more than what we paid for.

This is random, but everyone there was really, really quiet. This is not a bad thing, but no one even spoke by the pool, and we felt a little weird having our kids in the pool making kid noises. There were no other children there at all. Pre-child me would have loved that, and there were no issues with having the kids there, but the place had more of a couples vibe.

Fantastic location right at the sea; you can hear the waves everywhere. Close to Bastia city center and port. Good restaurant with fresh seafood.

Some of the facilities and rooms start to look a bit dated, still spreading charm though. There is potential for certain staff to elevate their approach to guest service. No food and drinks served / allowed in the pool area.

Everything was very excellent. The staff, service. Our room was clean and had a good view. Fortunately, the neighborhood was also calm. The breakfast was divine, the man who served breakfast was also very nice and helpful. We plan to come back here.

There was nothing I didn't like. Maybe the private beach is a bit neglected.

The restaurant prices were extortionate. No one ate there due to this. At lunch it was the formal menu and only snacks between 3-5.. and half the time it was closed.

The balcony and the sea view was the best thing. We couldn’t get enough of this view. It was good to have the swimming pool as it was quite hot. There’s also access to the sea and a pebble beach.

The restaurant was very expensive so we ended up eating elsewhere but it’s a good 25-min to 35-min walk into town depending on where you go. The breakfast at 21 euros was also very expensive for what we got. I expected an outstanding breakfast. We stayed in 2 others hotels in Ajaccio and Calvi and the breakfast in both places were at 12 euros and had exactly the same buffet or even better than Alivi’s one.

Location excellent, beachside, within walking distance to city center, large parking space, rooms adequate and very clean, all with sea view. Staff exceptional, especially madame Marie-Jeanne at the reception, who was very helpful and knowledgeable.

Really lovely breakfast. Superb location. Friendly staff and mind blowing views. Highly efficient air con which was perfect for the incredibly hot temperatures! We would highly recommend.

Some road noise but not too distracting.
