The hotel is in a fantastic location in the citadelle area overlooking the lovely town and port of Bastia. Our room was a junior suite and as well as a small balcony with two chairs overlooking the sea port, marina and town we also had a side balcony with dining table sofa and deck chairs. Really fantastic location with amazing views and worth the upgrade of room. our daughters room was also large and comfortable.

There was limited cupboard space in our room.

The room was spacious and nicely appointed. The view was lovely, and since it took in the open sea, the harbor, and the hills, it was perfect. The staff was very helpful in getting us a taxi both on arrival from the ferry and back to the terminal.

The hotel's kitchen needs to be improved: breakfast's scrambled eggs, bacon, and sausage were over done and dried out, and the dinner servings didn't live up to the standard of the rest of the hotel. .

Excellent location, just in the heart of old town and the old harbor. Restaurants and bars just around the corner, yet, very quiet area. The bed was very comfortable, the room well equipped with minibar, coffee machine and kettle. Beautifully decorated rooms. AC works very well. View from the roof top bar is amazing.

The room was rather small. The staff is using chlore to clean the rooms so there is rather strong smell of it when you enter. After opening the windows we could ventilate the room relatively quickly.

The location is wonderful being within the citadel walls and nearby parking at the underground citadel parking lot was convenient (22.80 euros per day). We had a wonderful time watching the harbor activity from our room. An elevator brings you from the citadel heights to the harbor restaurant area, which is convenient if you don't want to use the stairs. The staff was very efficient and helpful.

No complaints whatsoever from my wife and I (both 72).

Amazing location with stunning views and good restaurants within easy walking distance. To wake in the morning looking through the suite and the terrace door to views of the sea was so relaxing. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The addition of a lift from the Citadel area down to the port was extremely helpful, especially to one who finds steps difficult.

The wifi was not what one expects of a four star hotel.

Location is beautiful, views are breathtaking. Lots of restaurants nearby, and the lift to the promenade is super convenient. Rooms are very spacious and bathrooms also very generously proportioned. We loved our set of rooms. They were beautiful. Loved the little touches in the bathrooms and it was a lovely place to return to everyday in the evenings. Citadelle parking is a very short walk away and hence logistically it was very convenient.

It is a bit of a walk from the closest car drop off points and nobody helps with luggage. Our rooms had a very convenient small gate next to it, which apparently due to an internal miscommunication was left open. We hence used that gate to step out a few times. For security reasons this gate was locked a few days into our stay and the bespectacled lady who communicated this to us was unpleasant to the point of rude. Totally understandable to want to close the gate, just manner of communication was off. She always seemed very cheerful and smiley with other guests, just not us. The other staff was wonderful and warm. There was a mixup with our car pickup organised by the hotel on the day we were leaving and it was a bit stressful since it was raining, but we made it to the airport in time.

The hotel is in a wonderful location, with most rooms and the large terrace overlooking the old port, where breakfast is served. There is a wide selection for breakfast, and everything was delicious. We had to leave at dawn due to our departure time, and they arranged for us to have a complete breakfast at 5:30 AM.

We find it a bit expensive - as is the case with most things in Corsica...

Everything, beautiful facilities and location

DO NOT book a taxi at reception. We got ripped off by the taxi that reception booked for us- charged €74 for a 15 minute journey to the airport when the meter showed €40. We had to pay to get our bags back. I informed reception of what happened but they said that taxis are different company so they couldn’t do anything. It was a shame that our perfect trip had such an ending. My advice is to be careful as if you don’t you’ll get robbed like we did!

A beautiful property steeped in history and full of character. The rooms were comfortable and spacious and well equipped. The communal areas were first rate and well kept. The views from the 3 rooms we had were exceptional.

There were times when there were little or no staff around, including one afternoon during a power cut when we were looking to have drinks in the lounge so that was disappointing.

We stayed in the "family suite" on the top floor, you take a flight of steps for the final access. The room was huge with a living area, two sleeping areas (no door between sleeping areas but private otherwise) and two ante rooms. View of the port and the sea from the dormer windows. Good breakfast served for 25 EU. Extraordinary location, city parking garage 3.5 blocks away, public elevator down to the harbor level just across from the hotel entrance. Ample dining. and bars at hotel level with stunning views of the harbor and sea.
