We missed the last train to Corte, so we had to find a place to stay in Bastia on short notice. And we were lucky to find this one! The location is excellent, right in the city, close to both the train station and the port. The lady at the reception was very kind and spoke English well. The accommodation itself is simply beautiful. We visited the gallery downstairs and the little inner garden - we were truly impressed. Our room was small, but it was perfect for the two of us and had everything we needed.

I loved everything about Hotel Central Bastia. It exceeded my expectation. My junior suite was much larger than expected with a living/kitchen, an exceptionally large and beautiful bedroom, and a bathroom. The kitchen had a microwave, electric kettle, frig, and even a dishwasher. The rooms, particularly the bedroom, were beautifully furnished. The views from the windows were of elegant buildings. I greatly enjoyed the art on the staircase. I didn't miss having an elevator because I was so interested in all the portraits on the walk upstairs. The location was perfect - a short walk from the train station and about 15 minutes from the port. An unexpected benefit was the beautifully furnished, large, sitting room on the ground floor. That and luggage storage meant that waiting for the ferry was a very pleasant experience - not at all what I was expecting. A big thank-you to the charming young woman and young man at reception who were so kind to me. Both had excellent English.

The hotel is very interesting with many sketches and pictures adorning the walls most of which are from the hand of the owner. The location is as the name suggests very central to the main square and is handily placed for ferries, the train station and airport shuttle service. Breakfast is simple and can be taken either inside or outside. Reception is open from 7 am till 9 pm and staff are very helpful.

Our room was very dark so time spent in the hotel you are better to use the lounge on the ground floor which is full of wonderful art pieces. It was necessary to ask reception for additional drink accessories (tea bags etc) and a refill for the shower gel.

A wonderful hotel, each room has been renovated in a different style! The room is big enough, good sound insulation, I slept there like a baby!))) There are separate areas where you can sit or have breakfast, everything is beautifully served, there are bookcases, all this adds comfort. I will definitely come back with more pleasure, this is one of the best hotels in Bastia. Checked in ahead of the time indicated at the time of booking!

Friendly, helpful receptionists. Old, character building, with an art gallery/lounge on the lower floor to relax in. Everything worked fine. Clean and well maintained. Bathroom upgraded. Excellent location close to train station and two blocks from harbour. Plenty of dining options close by. The place grew on me, the longer I stayed.

Continental breakfast was served, no buffet. Wooden, squeaky floor, thin walls.

This place had so much charm! Very, very cool place with great decor and a neat feel. We were upgraded to a large apartment which was really nice. The staff were super kind and welcoming! The room was comfortable and truly beautiful. The location was great and it was easy to walk to everything we wanted to do.

Could have just been a little bit cleaner in the room. Not an issue but something to note.

This is an adorable little hotel in central Bastia. It's got an excellent location, walking distance from everything you want to see, eat, or do. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The room looked exactly like the pictures (nothing too fancy, but everything we needed), and the beds were so comfortable that we slept way past our alarms!

This is true for most if not all destinations in central Bastia… the parking is very competitive. Be prepared to search for a parking space and a possible long walk back to the hotel. Make sure your car rental is a small car. This is not a criticism of the hotel, it’s just the reality of visiting Bastia.

The hotel is really lovely. It is decorated with a mixture old features, like tiled floors in the rooms, and modern items, such as art, books and interesting furniture. The lounge area, on the ground floor, is really cool. The staff are really helpful and friendly. The location is great.

Beautiful historic building, comfy, clean, immaculate, lovely spacious room. Great location. Very helpful and friendly staff. Loved the artwork around the hotel, and gallery on ground floor with complimentary great coffee.
