In-person check-in was quick and efficient. Charming hotel with lots of period furnishings and even a reading room is located on a busy street within easy walking distance of sites and restaurants. Decorated room was sufficient in size, but a bit tricky to lay out luggage for two people and not trip on everything. Modern bathroom was well maintained with excellent water pressure and temperature control in the shower and amenities provided. Comfortable bed and good air conditioning supported a very restful night sleep. Strong and reliable WIFI easily handled uploading of pictures and video chat. Beautiful breakfast area served a good continental breakfast. Communication was both proactive and responsive and receptionist was very friendly and helpful checking us in early as requested and providing useful information about the city and dining options.

Free on-site parking in the city center is a real bonus but can be a bit tricky for the driving impaired as it requires you to negotiate a very narrow passage with a 30+ degree slope that comes out right onto the main street and sidewalk with a lots of car and foot traffic. If you are used to doing this, no problem – but if not, then just be aware. Convenient electrical outlets were difficult to get to without unplugging bedside lamps. Getting to your room can be a chore as it is a bit of a maze. A beautiful maze though! Note: Whoever is being paid to respond to customer comments needs some serious public relations training, because snipping customers is not helpful.

Booked two rooms in the hotel for one night after arriving on overnight ferry before travelling to holiday villa. We were able to leave our luggage in the hotel after arrival in Bastia before checking in to the rooms. Staff on reception were very friendly and helpful. We had breakfast there on two mornings which was very good, selection of viennoiseries, cereals, boil your own eggs, meat, cheese, bread, yoghurts, fruit and very nice coffee. Rooms were quirky (as advertised). Good aircon (needed as 32C), bathroom, comfortable bed. Very good location near to the port and the main square. Would stay there again

This was perfect for our needs, the location in this beautiful city and the safe parking for our motorbike. The hotel itself is situated in a historic street and whilst the gentleman who checked us in was concerned that we’d opted for the smallest room it was perfect for our needs. Everything was lovely and clean and we had a very comfortable night’s sleep. The aircon was very effective, it was a baking 39 degrees during our time in Bastia! Perfect for the ferry to Livorno, 5 minutes away at most. The staff were all so welcoming, Samantha and the others on reception were genuinely interested in our comfort and well-being, we’d stay again without a doubt - thanks so much for making us feel so welcome!

There was nothing that caused us any concerns.

We selected this hotel for its location to the port & the fact it had car parking available & for both of those reasons we would highly recommend it. As our ferry arrived late in the day on our arrival to Bastia & was departing early the day we left a week later, we booked both nights here. The staff were very friendly & the room, although small, was clean & had all that you require. Being on the edge of the old town it was easy to go exploring & we had dinner at the Marina which is only a 5min walk away.

The room was small - for the person sleeping closest to the wall, it was hard getting around the end of the bed - but for a one night stay was OK.

Interesting historical hotel, we like that sort of thing. Lots of good art too in the reception area, breakfast room and lounge. Plenty of reading material in several languages in the comfortable lounge for those staying longer. Really friendly and helpful staff. Really good central location. Good parking facilities. Great breakfast.

This place had a great location, very close to the main street and was easy to walk to from the ferry dock. (Even with luggage) Rooms were small but clean. Front desk was open 24hrs, so that was helpful when we were arriving late.

It was a bit of a different hotel, definitely older. We had three different rooms booked for our family of 6. Two of the rooms had a nice sized bathroom, one had a very small bathroom.

The staff and particularly the Head Receptionist, Samantha, went out of their way to help me during the chaos of the strike that closed the airport and ports. They were enormously thoughtful and kind. The Hotel is comfortable, quiet, and very well located and has a big bed and an excellent shower. It also has a nice reading room with a good selection of books, including books in English.

Simple place, very conveniently located next to the train/bus station, but also the centre. The staff was bery friendly and accomodating. We mentioned our room had a broken window and they immediately offered another, more quieter room, which was perfect.

Breakfast was on the simple side - not worth the money. You’re better off eating out.

Great athmosphere, super friendly staff, and the hotel has very classy decoration in the common areas. It is also very central, and we got a good deal on the room. I would stay here again!

The hotel is in a great location, a short 5 minute walk up a gentle slope from the ferry terminal and a 2 minute walk to the railway station. The room was clean and quiet overlooking a tree lined street. The large double bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was value for money and suited our needs. The staff were excellent, very helpful with excellent customer service skills. An absolute great stay.
