The hotel is breathtaking and the rooms are beautiful and very comfortable - each of our rooms offering hotel crested small gifts, beautifully presented welcome fruits and bottles of complimentary chilled champagne to order - it’s the perfect start to our stay in this living landmark palace - it feels like such a privilege to be able to stay here. The breakfast room has an incredible 280 degree view of the ocean and the beachfront and there’s a Michelin restaurant completing the offering. The spectacular pool overlooks the entire beach and there’s poolside dining. The hotel is within walking distance of the lovely town and all the luxury brand stores. Concierge supply a list of great restaurants beyond the hotel and are very helpful with all requests. This stay was wonderful in every way.

The hair dryer. Nearly every 5 star luxury hotel we stay in they always seem to forget about how important the hairdryer is. The hairdryer was cheap and the cord wasn’t long enough to be able to style your hair. Must have been bought by a man or someone trying to save money. Buy a Dyson hairdryer it makes such a difference. It’s such a bug bear when hotels don’t seem to care about the little things which are so important. It makes such a difference. We are paying a lot of money for 5 star treatment and the hairdryer is just like a hairdryer in a 2 star hotel.

The hotel was amazing - location, service & staff! We were travelling with our dog & needed to see a vet to get her papers signed & stamped to get back into the uk & they arranged everything! Booked the vet appointment & a taxi to take us there. So impressed! We will be back for sure!

Apart from the fire alarm going off at silly o’clock in the morning & we had to evacuate the building - absolutely nothing!! The hotel is beautiful!!

Beautiful hotel in a superb location.

Only able to eat in one restaurant because of the weather, a hotel this size should have better options. Restaurant manager was quite grumpy. Clearly everyone wants a window seat we got it only once despite staying in a suite. The hotel is very expensive so no value to be had. Bar staff were too laid back and some even lied about a wine we had. The bar menu for food is not inspiring and at 30 odd euros a salmon toastie is well overpriced.

Everything about the location was fabulous. This was my 3d stay, and it was lovely to be recognized and personally greeted by the staff. I love the beach and the views of the beach from the dining room at breakfast and dinner.

There is something strange about the staff at the restaurant. I am a woman traveling alone, and each time, during all three stays, every time I checked in for breakfast or dinner, the hostess looked at me up and down from head to toe as if in disapproval. It was very uncomfortable and very different from the staff at the front desk/reception, who were very warm and polite.

Most incredible, luxurious and overall unforgettable experience. L’Hotel du Palais has succeeded to live up to its historic reputation and demonstrated its grandeur throughout our stay. The staff was incredibly attentive and helpful and catered to all our needs, and beyond. The facilities were astonishing too. The breakfast was grandiose, matching the splendor of La Rotonde in which it is set.

Outstanding historical Hotel on the best location in Biarritz, overlooking the famous Grand Plage; everything is superb, the Pool, breakfast buffet, the outdoor restaurant exposed to the ocean and sunset, the La Rotonde Restaurant, which is one of our favourite in the entire world. Personnel is more than helpful and super nice.

There is nothing to mention in this section!

This has to be one of the finest period buildings in all of France. Blessed to be situated on the panoramic sea front of Biarritz it was built by Napolean III for his wife the Empress Eugénie. Photographs in the spa of Edward VII confirm it's regal connections. That the interior decor today reflects the splendour of that bygone age are a credit to Hyatt who maintain this historic gem. Rooms are sumptuous, and the whole ambience is that of a stately home at it's best. The rotunda restaurant serves an exceptional breakfast whilst overlooking the seascape.

There is a cosy bar for aperitifs but regrettably the restaurant provided only a tasting menu in the evening when we visited, so we sought out a restaurant nearby for some authentic French cuisine.

A dream holiday in a dream palace. Beautiful old building, excellently maintained with modern facilities. Extremely tasteful decor, friedly and helpful staf, superb Rotunda restaurant with excellent food. Perfect location, with lovely bathing beaches, enhanced by a backdrop of interesting rock formations

The fact that our stay was so short, due to a tight schedule. Unfortunately the computer program of the evaluation does not permit adding pictures from "Goggle Photos" which is in the cloud.

Biarritz from the Palais perspective is an exceptional experience in French luxurious surroundings. It maintains a relaxed vibe even with the 5 Star treatment.

Dining is an experience with the sunset is worth just a one-night stay and a hidden bonus.. but multiple nights finds the dining room offers no specials or changes to menu.
