Has just been remodelled by the looks of it, in a surf style and it’s been done really well. Room was very nice, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was also good with plenty of choice. Location was good, a short 4-5 mins walk sees you on the sea front and all the bars / restaurants. But for the money it’s excellent value and I would definitely choose to stay here again.

Check in was a farce. I had originally booked three rooms but cancelled one. The check in staff simply couldn’t grasp what my name was, asking me if I was the guy wasn’t coming (cancelled room) and at one point told me I didn’t have a room!! Eventually it was sorted but it was hard work.

Had a pleasant stay at this hotel. It is a very good value hotel at a convenient location, meaning it's not in the overly busy area, short walk to local places such as cafés, boulangeries and convenience shops. They offer parking which was great, although at a price. Note that the parking structure does not fit big vehicles. Friendly staff, and the lobby has some cool stuff for sale.

Rooms were rather small. Luckily we also did not have noisy neighbours but I could sense the bedroom walls being thin. Parking at a price.

The location is superb, very convenient for sightseeing. I was able to walk to all points of interest including the light house and Asiatica Museum. I was glad not to be on the main shopping drag. The room had all necessary amenities which I need: safe, tea cattle. The hotel itself had level entry and an elevator - easy for arriving and leaving with a suitcase. I was traveling in France for 33 days, so I had a relatively substantial luggage. The breakfast was sufficient for me.

I was very happy with this hotel. Highly recommend.

This is a great hotel very close to the beach and town of Biarritz, 5-minute walk, I would highly recommend it. The AC worked very well, bathroom was great and the general hotel had a very "cool" vibe with a lovely lobby to hang out in. Timber floors in the rooms are great for when you arrive back with sand on you from the beach!

Major draw backs were the limited parking and bed that began to sink over time. Parking: I had asked before my stay for the price of parking only a few weeks beforehand and was told it was 15 euro/night and couldn't be reserved. When I arrive I was told it was 20 euros a night and they would not honor the quote I was given each when I showed them the message. I also got the last spot available! To park on the street close by was very difficult with limited spaces and the cost was 35 euro for 2.5 hours. There are no easy parking options close by and the options in the town were usually completely full each day. The bed was nice at first but over a 6 day stay the mattress began to sink a bit in the middle and the pillows were also not good.

The staff were very friendly and helpful & gave us a useful map of the local area on arrival. The room was well equipped, beds comfy, the bathroom was smart & super clean. The hotel is a 2 minute walk from the no. 36 bus stop, all very convenient. Everything we wanted to see in Biarritz was within about a 20 minute walk. We particularly enjoyed the range of breakfast items, eggs, ham & cheese, choice of breads, fresh & dried fruits, yoghurt, pastries & a range of teas/coffees. We've already recommended Biarritz & hotel Akena to friends. Checkout time of 12pm is very helpful.

The twin room was a little tight, but this is perfectly acceptable for the modest price. Coffees & spoons weren't provided and the cups were paper (although fine for hot drinks). We'd brought our own coffees etc. so not an issue, just it would be a nice addition - but again fair enough for the price, just its worth taking your own.

-Location was exceptional. Great accessibility by 1 bus from the main train station or the airport. Close to the city centre but in a calm area. 5 minutes walk to the miramar beach. Many great restaurants in walking distance. -Big enough room. -Clean with enough facilities. -Very good A/C system & hot shower. -Welcoming & helpful staff.

-A pair of slippers for the room could do well with all sand that comes from the beach. -No Electric sockets by bed.

Staff didn’t know from booking.com that I had paid already and questioned me on this. Whatever system they were using didn’t show it until they searched again. Staff also didn’t realise that I had responded to an email sent by them asking if I wanted to include breakfast. They told me breakfast wasn’t included even though I had asked for it to be included in my reply to their email. Felt that the system they were using wasn’t linking communications for staff to see.

Very comfortable and only a short walk to the sea front. The staff were very friendly and helpful and encouraged me to practise speaking in French! Merci à toutes !

There wasn’t a varied selection of cafés or restaurants nearby. The best restaurants were near the covered market which is a 20 minute walk.

The hotel was excellently located near two bus stops which made it easy for getting around and getting back to the airport. There was also a small supermarket and bakery nearby. It was a 5 minute walk from the seafront at La Grande Plage. The staff were lovely and very helpful at all times. The lobby area with leather sofas and other seating is great, the room was spotless and the location quiet, despite its proximity to the beach.

very nice hotel, cute decor. the duplex was amazing. small toilet room and shower room but enough, shower worked well and good toiletries. quite street and around 10min walk to the beach bed was really comfy! Ac worked well too. water available 24h and really helpful staff. car parking for 20€ per day, convinient as its difficult to park in the area
