Location was fabulous as an easy walk to city centre and to the tram to access all attractions. Bed was lovely & comfortable and the breakfast provided was very very good - delicious. Staff were super helpful too. I’d stay there again. Highly recommended. Even though there is no lift the owner took my luggage upstairs which I was very thankful for.

The shower was so small and it was hard to get the shower & hand soap out of the containers. Probably so that not too much was used. But it was too hard so that it hurt my hand. A small thing in the whole scheme. Bedroom was small but did the job. As mentioned I’d stay there again as it was clean, comfortable and value for money.

The owners of the hotel Stefan & Stephanie were extremely helpful in recommending places to visit and restaurants. Their homemade breakfast were superb. It included fresh coffee & tea, juices, crepes,tarts,ham, cheese,yoghurts,fresh fruit,& patisserie’s to mention just a few.Their hotel is centrally located and within easy reach of the excellent tramway system in the city. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the owners arranged a key code entry for a late arrival when the reception was not open.

The downside was there was no lift for the less able. However Stefan helped other guests by carrying luggage up & down the stairs we noticed but that was not a problem for us.

The location, in the city centre, meant I had everything I wanted to see in walking distance. It is in a lovely quiet spot, close to the cathedral and a Carrefours 2 minutes walk away. The staff were incredibly helpful to an Australian who speaks little French! There being no lift, my suitcase was carried up and down for me. The bed was comfortable, linen fresh and a fan and an open window helped on a warm night. Breakfast was full of choices.and fresh. Will definitely stay again Allowance HAS to be made for an historic building in a Medieval city. My room was small, but ok for a solo traveller. The bathroom is very small, but I managed fine. I climbed the 2 flights of stairs with no problems. The comfort and convenience was worth it.

We arrived late and the self check in was easy. The man on reception was so friendly and helpful throughout our stay and also organised a taxi to the airport for our early departure. Breakfast was amazing with a good variety and fresh tasty food. The location was absolutely perfect and everything was just a short stroll away. We stayed 4 nights in total.

The room was very warm and when we opened the window for some air the noise from the street seemed amplified . no air con/ fan Room and bathroom on the small side

Very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The gentleman at the desk was kind and made us feel welcome. The bed was very comfortable.

Be aware that the steps are steep and there is no lift. There is no eating allowed in the room which is a huge turn-off when you get in late. Just seemed odd to have such a rule for a hotel room. The TV is in front of the bathroom door, waiting to hit you in the head. When the rooms in the hall unlock their doors it's very loud, but quiet otherwise from the outside.

The location was amazing ( city centre) , short walk to all the picturesque places. Spent 2 romantic nights here. The breakfast was good. Friendly owners. French balconies. Finally, a lovely view from our room.

This hotel was absolutely perfect for my needs. The location is perfect, great to be able to call back during the day as necessary. The manager is very friendly and helpful - he carried my heavy case up to my room on the second floor. My room had a great view over Grand Hommes. It was super clean with a lovely en suite. (Some other reviews mention the tojlets - they are macerator toilets - efficient but noisy) The temperature rose to over 40° while I was there but I slept well in a comfy bed. There were shutters, double glazed windows and curtains to allow me to shut out the sun during the day, and to allow a breathe of air at night. The room had 4 sockets, one for the fan, one for the desk lamp and one either side of the bed. There were also 2 USB sockets. Breakfast was very good in a pleasant room on the first floor. I only read the reviews after I had booked and did wonder if I had made a mistake, but no, it was perfect for my needs and I will definitely hope to stay here again. Just before I left for my hotel I was back on booking.com website checking something when I noticed that the same room type/dates were available for 100€ less!

Owner welcomed us outside when we arrived on on our bikes. He had arranged that we could park our 2 bikes for the night. Location is in the Triagle d'Or' in the Bordeaux city centre. By foot many places to see in the direct vicinity. Gave good advice what to visit and where to have dinner.

Room is a little outdated, but clean with good beds and all comfort. Bathroom floor was a quite a step higher ten the floor of the room. Not a huge problem, but could be for some people. No elevator but good stairs.

Great location, friendly staff, and a lovely breakfast. It was our first time in Bordeaux, so wanted to stay centrally. The hotel is small and cosy. Therefore, you get privacy and a family feel.

For fellow travellers: there's no lift. It's not a problem for me, but if you have injuries or other health problems, consider asking for a room on lower floors. Otherwise, all good 👍

If you have mobility issues, this hotel may not be suitable for you as there is no lift. Also the room is small but perfectly formed, however the shower is on the small side.
