This is a small family run hotel and has a very friendly atmosphere. The hotel is a short walk from the centre of Bordeaux in a quiet side street which had plenty of budget dining options. Our room was cosy and comfortable and the bed was good. We were very happy with return here each night after a long day sightseeing.

Unfortunately the hotel did not have a lift, which I didn’t realise until we arrived, however, we were on the first floor and the staff helped with our luggage. The room, whilst being lovely lacked much hanging and storage space, so we tended to work from our suitcases.

The rooms were spacious and comfortable. We had a generous sized bathroom with all the lovely Clarins products. We had a tall window looking out on to a wooden walkway and inner courtyard type area - really really nice.

I really can't complain about the Churchill Hotel Bordeaux - maybe supply a wine bottle opener in the rooms. My friends and I gathered in one of our rooms every night for a glass of wine before bed. We were badly stuck on the last night as it was after 11pm and reception was closed. We found a way though!

The building is architecturally very special and we loved that. Our bedroom was labelled 'superior' and the bed was very large and comfortable. The shower room was clean and there were numerous Clinique products to enjoy using, for showers and general sprucing up. Samy, in reception, was so helpful in selecting the right bedroom for my stair access needs.

I would have liked a demonstration of how to use the capsule coffee machine, or some instructions. We could not get it to provide more than hot water.

The hotel is located within walking distance to most main attractions and is situated on a small quiet street. The staff were so polite and helpful. We did not have breakfast at the hotel because of the very small size of the breakfast area. But we used the nespresso coffee machine and capsules and water were replenished daily. There is a safe in my room but my friend said there wasn’t one in her room.

Overall it is a very small hotel and there is no lift so I asked for a room on the first floor and was given one. The rooms, though adequate. are extremely small and are lacking clothes cupboards or shelves.

Superbly located for the city centre. The hotel is on a small road that’s quiet but which still has a dozen places to eat and drink . Most importantly it’s a short walk to the centre of Bordeaux. The staff are absolutely brilliant. Lou gave us recommendations of where to visit and eat and all were spot on. I would recommend to anyone to talk a walking tour to familiarise yourself with the various land marks and the tram system is superb, cheap and easy to use. Overall Bordeaux is a magnificent City and you won’t go wrong if you stay at the Churchill. 😊

The only minor negative was the lack of wardrobe space but honestly don’t let this put you off , there’s still enough space to hang a few dresses and trousers 😊

Small cozy hotel, but the shower cabin is withing the room, litterally in the room. Room was very small, but I expected it that way in France. Overall, good, but not extremely comfortable. Great location though and easy to reach all sights.

The breakfast is very poor: boiled eggs, croissants, jam. A few fruits, no vegetables. Good this is that they had lactose free milk. Overall, I would not recommend to take it but rather go outside to any cafe/bistrot.

The hotel is about 25 minutes from the airport. It is situated on a quiet street which has a few coffee shops and restaurants along it. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful when we arrived. Our room was lovely and very clean. My partner and I both commented the bed was the most comfortable of all hotels we have stayed in. The hotel is a short walk into the centre. We really enjoyed our stay.

Although we didn't have breakfast at the hotel the area for this looked very small for the amount of rooms available. It is possible people prefer to walk to the various coffee shops for their pastry and morning coffee.

A very nice stay. The hotel is an old building build around a courtyard. 6 of us stayed in 3 x twin rooms and all rooms were of a good size and standard. Beds were very comfortable and the location is perfect and a short walk from bars, cafe's and sights. The staff were the main selling point however, they covered off our every question and need. The home made breakfast is also worth it with home made brioche and bread, cakes (about 3), cereals, jams, pastries, yoghurts etc etc..

I'm being very petty but the location of a TV on the bedroom wall in one of the rooms wasn't the best place.

Rooms are luxurious and quite large. Lovely bedding and relaxing lighting. Location was great- staff recommended excellent restaurants and sights to see. It really is a lovely hotel.

I thought the breakfast was overpriced and disappointing as far as generosity and choice. It would not take much effort for the hotel to offer a couple of warm dishes - such as scrambled eggs and bacon. Breakfast consisted of a few bits of cheese, a bit of salami, cakes, one croissant per person, and cold boiled eggs (but be quick because when we arrived at breakfast there was only only left), The staff on duty did not seem to care about the noise in tjr kitchen area behind the breakfast room.

This beautiful boutique hotel has a warm, welcoming staff who attended to our every need. Its location is perfect to walk to all parts of the old city. The parking was convenient (20 Euro a day), and the breakfast was delicious. Could not recommend this hotel more.
