The hotel is in perfect location as its away from the noisy centre and main road but is very close to the main sights via walking or by public transport. Buses and trams very close to hotel. Area is safe and has plenty of cafes and restaurants. Staff were very helpful and speak English. Hotel very accommodating as they store luggage for those who have late flights.

NOT the hotels fault but beware the mosquitoes getting into the hotel and the fact that other customers were rather noisy when coming back from night out. Rooms are small and you can hear others in their rooms. No lift in hotel but staff are helpful and willing to help with bags.

The staff were fantastic, friendly, helpful and professional. The hotel is charming in a lovely old building and perfectly located in Chartrons, also close to the river, the jardins, and the centre. Rooms are clean, beds comfy, breakfast is v reasonable with a wide range of choices and the dining room spacious and nicely decorated at street level. The rooms are modestly priced but the hotel provides a 5 star service.

Some people might find the stairs a bit steep and there’s no lift-it was fine for us, and the staff made us aware of it in advance. Our rooms were at the back so very quiet, but another couple of friends had a room at the front so they could hear sounds from the street but the area certainly wasn’t rowdy or overcrowded.

Close to the River Garonne, but not on the Riverside itself - which would have elevated the price. This is billed as 3 star hotel, as there are no fancy facilities. But as a place to stop over for a night or two, it is hard to beat. Clean, reliable, easy access as it is close to Bordeaux's excellent Tram service.. Continental breakfast was copious. Several Cafés and Restaurants nearby for lunch or dinner. Staff were very helpful and friendly; they spoke good English (though I did try to speak French!). Will stay here again whenever I'm in Bordeaux.

Nothing to dislike!

I recently stayed at this hotel during my visit to Bordeaux and had a wonderful experience. The location is excellent—right in the heart of the city, within walking distance of major attractions, restaurants, and public transport. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. My room was clean, modern, and very comfortable, with a cozy bed and a well-equipped bathroom. Overall, this hotel was a perfect base for exploring Bordeaux. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the region.

Excellent location in the delightful Chartrons district; the originality and age of the hotel compared with so many "generic" hotels one finds today; helpful and considerate staff.

There is some noise from the street outside if the windows are left open but this is from people´s conversation rather than being from cars (the area outside is pedestrianised) or thump thump racket from bars. It´s not such an issue.

The staff at the reception were very lovely. The room is small but not an issue at all. Very clean, which is the most important part and, as a bonus, you can leave your luggages at the reception for free, for the entire day, if you have a late flight.

N/A I understand that most of the people here have something to say about the fact that there's no elevator; however, it's not part of the hotel's description and I only want to make the mention that this is so irrelevant to use it as a complaint.

Basic room but everything I needed for my short stay, air con was perfect for 40 degree heat. Lovely location on a quiet, pedestrianised street with a number of cafes and restaurants. Lovely bakery too. Close to the Public Garden and the river. Good value for money.

This is a very charming little hotel in one of the most gorgeous streets of Bordeaux, lined with antiquities shops, brasseries and cafes. The staff could not have been more warm, welcoming and helpful. My room was a good size for a single person, with a comfortable bed. I recommend the place whole-heartedly.

As others have commented, there is noise from other rooms and the street itself. However, I had earplugs with me and so this was not a problem.

Hotel Notre Dame has good location. Very close to tram stops C and B line. Has air conditioning, so important during warm days. Around Hotel are bakeries , coffee shops, groceries and restaurants. Close to city centre. Walking promenade not so far. Staff very friendly. We stay 4 days than perfect for us. Washing machine station 5 minutes walk from hotel .

Staff were very friendly and helpful with food recommendations and luggage storage after check-out. Location was great, 5 min walk from a tram stop, very close to some nice restaurants and excellent bakeries. It is maybe a 20 min walk to the main centre.

It fulfilled expectations and was value for money. Room size was small. Shower was just ok.
