Everything was very nice, the room was huge.

Breakfast needs more cooked items - especially cooked eggs - cooking them myself in the boiler is not ideal.

staff were very friendly on arrival. hotel was very close to the tram stop which was very convenient, although it is quite a distance from the airport , you have to change trams in the centre and get on another line to reach the hotel. room was quite spacious although view was quite disappointing, we were overlooked by another room and also from an apartment just facing. so tried to keep the curtains closed.

on arrival was greeted with very friendly staff. room on first impression was nice, but on un packing realised the clean had been quite a quick one as the bathroom bin hadn’t been emptied. under the bed was grubby and hadn’t been mopped or swept, one day no bath mat was left so had to use a hand towel. so although the hotel offered an eco friendly system whereby you skipped a hotel room clean to help the environment, unfortunately we couldn’t do this as the room wasn’t clean.

It turned out the hotel is part of a hotelier institution with only 11 guest rooms. The rest of the building was classrooms. The hotel building is an old and classic building, Receptionists were friendly and extremely helpful. Our room was quite large with well-equipped bathroom. The beds were comfortable but the single beds we had were rather small, probably only 3 feet. Breakfast was of Continental Style but with good quality ingredients. Bread was delicious and fresh. We had lunch in their restaurant and although their menu was small, the food was delicious and beautifully presented.

Housekeeping could be improved.

Our rooms were upgraded on arrival and were spacious, comfortable, quiet and clean and had everything you could wish for. (including a kettle and some tea that we requested!). A very good continental breakfast was served and staff were without exception friendly and very attentive. A private taxi transfer (I booked through a specialist supplier) for the end of our stay failed to arrive and Ricardo on reception was amazingly supportive and reassuring, helping to contact my supplier and then arranging us another transfer. Ricardo even waited to make sure our taxi to the airport arrived before ending his shift. Thank you so much.

The hotel restaurant was closed Saturday and Sunday, but there are plenty of good restaurants just outside the door on the waterfront. The shower was press button. You set the temp then pressed the button. It was brilliant. Beds were really comfy. A tram ride into central city and Gare St Jean

Tried out the TV. The batteries were flat and one was corrosive.

Great location, lovely room, extremely friendly staff. Would definitely stay there again next time, because it’s good to reach by car, next to the river and only 10-15 minutes by foot to the centre.

On checkin we didn’t get enough infos on parking (the ticket that was provided was only for leaving the parking area, not for entering) so this caused some confusion when we wanted to leave. However the staff was extremely helpful and everything went well 👍

Stay used to fill the one day gap between flight from BHX and joining Garonne cruise. Great way to see Bordeaux at your own pace.

Your directions to the hotel are completely wrong! You took us to their banker's address!! - a full 4 miles in the wrong direction. You then failed to find a taxi to correct the error, but charged us £24 for a taxi that we cancelled because they failed to confirm or appear. It took over 30 minutes to walk there with 3 cases and local temperatures at 34 degrees. We need to resolve this ASAP to prevent others suffering the same mistake. The hotel was chosen because it is close to the Quay du Chartron. You took us to 2 wrong commercial addresses right next door to the tourist office!!

The staff were friendly and helpful. My family members said Friday lunch was excellent. We found the breakfast croissants a little disappointing despite the staff helping to get more. The rooms were large and comfortable. We could relax in the armchairs; we could have our family in (7 people) without feeling cramped.

Being January the restaurant was not open in the evening and the bar hours at the caméléon next door were limited. No alcohol available in the room fridges.
