The property was centrally located in the heart of the old city center. Lot’s of nightlife, restaurants, bars, cafes. The property, however, was just off a Main Street and was absolutely quiet. The apartment was on the ground level and easy to access and absolutely clean. The amenities and applicants were new. We didn’t travel with children but the apartment looks like it would be comfortable for a small family. Electrical outlets were adequate: 4 outlets in the living room and dining room area; 2 in the bedroom; 1 in the bathroom. No air conditioning (we didn’t need it, we had pleasant September weather). Thanks to Madame Benedicte for taking care of us.

We would have liked more sunlight in the bedroom… it was pretty dark. The living room and kitchen area, however, received a lot of light. We could not figure out the combination washing machine and dryer (in fairness to the property, we can never figure out European washers and dryers).

La Maison de Valentine is an apartment in a great location in the center of Bordeaux. So many restaurants, shopping spots and places to see within a short walk. The apartment is well designed with a modern feel. It is also very clean and easily accommodated my family of four. Bénédicte was an exceptional host who made great recommendations and was very welcoming and responsive during our stay.

We were asked to pay a deposit of eur 500 some days before our arrival. The flat was already fully paid, so the deposit was in case of damages.I would have appreciated to know this from Booking in advance. It was not indicated in Booking. We had two credit cards, so we managed but this may be difficult to arrange just a few days before arriving.

Location was excellent. Hostess was continually assisting us at all times. Left very informative information on local restaurants, attractions and travel suggestions. Benedicte responded to our requests promptly.

Fantastic apartment right in the heart of Bordeaux. The apartment is located close to the main sights and in the historic area with easy walking to everything. You are really living in the center of Bordeaux here with lots of plazas, shopping and atmosphere to soak up. Communication with Bénédicte was exceptional. Also having a washing machine was a nice addition as most places don't.

The property was beautiful. Loads of room. Fully equipped. We were very well looked after. We were warmly greeted by Bénédicte, who allowed us to come in early with our baby. She had set up a cot for our baby and we had everything we needed and more. Excellent shower, superb location. Would absolutely recommend and we will definitely stay again.

Great host management and everything was a breeze, place was comfortable and very clean. Everything you would need was available.

The noise in the interior court and street is a bit disturbing at night as it is adjacent to the room.

La Maison de Valentine’s location is ideal for short-term visitors, being very near Rue Sainte Catherine, Bordeaux‘ main shopping street, as well as nearby streets full of eateries of all types. The appartement is well furnished and equipped, bright and offering lots of space. The owner is a great host, friendly, helpful, accessible and accommodating.

Had trouble with the toilet leaking but host worked with me to minimize nuisance.
