This hotel exceeded my expectations. I am used to staying in small traditional hotels in the city centre when I travel for work, normally located in old buildings. I was therefore prepared for a less than ideal stay. This was not the case. The building was old, but the air conditioner worked like a champ through one of the worst heat waves to afflict the region (up to 40C outside). The room was in the second floor but the acoustic insulation was excellent and I could not hear anything outside. This despite the hotel being in a very busy neighbourhood, right on the main shopping street of Bordeaux. The location was very convenient. The hotel does not have fitness centre but it has an agreement with a fully equipped gym in the same street, which you can access for no charge. My room even had a little Juliet balcony if you wanted to open and see the foot traffic below. The reception area has a bar and a water fountain that dispenses chilled natural and sparkling water. The hotel provides bottles for you to fill and take to your room, and a small fridge. The breakfast had all the expected variety, including eggs, bacon, sausages, different types of bread and cakes, fruit, yoghurt, etc. Coffee was from a machine, or Nescafe pods. The one thing to watch out is if you are planning to drive. The hotel is in a no traffic zone, so you will need to stay far and pull your bags 5-10 minutes depending on where you decide to park. The hotel has an agreement with a parking garage 12 minutes away, for cheaper rate ($20 Euro per day).

One small suggestion. The mirror in the bathroom of our room was placed very high, so difficult for shorter people to see much. There was no real reason for this that I could see; the mirror could be lowered.

This was our second visit to the Quality hotel and we can’t beat the location. It is very well situated in the beautiful historic area of Bordeaux. Just steps away from the main shopping street, many restaurants and cafes. Our hotel room was spacious, bright, comfortable and very clean, with a handy fridge, which was stocked with bottles of water daily. The staff are friendly & helpful and I cannot fault this hotel. We most definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and you won’t be disappointed.

There are not negative points to mention.

Location of hotel was ideal with historical attractions within walking distance and many restaurants and shops all around. My room was very quiet which was perfect. Staff were welcoming, cheerful, polite and helpful. Choice for breakfast was excellent. Location of room 302 near the lift was ideal for me and I did not hear the lift operating. The mattress was comfortable. Very efficient air conditioning. Attractive bathroom. Good to have area to sit in the foyer and relax with a drink in the evening.

The opportunity to park my car in a secure car park over night via the hotel booking was perfect. Just a short walk from the car park down to the hotel. Hotel location is fantastic. Just off of main street in the heart of the city. Our room was on the first floor facing main street but the room was virtually soundproof. The room was nicely adorned, obviously renovated recently but keeping the classic original styling which we like. Very clean with all the extras, free Wi-Fi (fast) mini bar, coffee machine, room safe etc. Bathroom was huge with retro shower cubicle, a bath and twin sinks and mirrors. Super comfortable bed with supportive pillows and spotless linen. Our daughter liked the sofa bed which was comfortable and she slept well. One suggestive idea maybe is to have a refillable water bottle / water fountain available on every floor. It’s becoming quite the trend now.

It’s just my opinion but breakfast could be cheaper. To be honest €16 per person for the 3 x of us is over the top. We can have breakfast in the centre at popular cafes for significantly less.

Excellent location within walking distance of many of the sites including shopping areas, beautiful squares for bars and restaurants and tram stops to go further afield. Breakfast had plenty of choice to suit most tastes including hot and cold items and eggs you could boil to your own preference. Decent coffee, tea and juices too. V nice to have a complimentary chilled filtered water fountain in the lobby with bottles to take to your own room as required. Cleaning was done daily and to a good standard in the rooms.

We had a very pleasant stay. Everything was great.

The location is great right in the middle of downtown with lots of stores and restaurants around it. The room was good size and plenty of closet space. The bed was a little soft for me but perfect for my husband. Breakfast was good they a have a good spread to get us going in the morning. We would stay here again.

The parking is a little of a hassle to walk with the luggage since we couldn’t just drive to the lobby due to the location of the hotel. The hotel makes very clear about the parking and offers a discounted rate if you prebook. The other thing I didn’t like is that our bathroom didn’t have any hand soap. I guess they were in the process of changing the containers. I would’ve been fine with a bar of soap. I had to make my point clear that I needed hand soap so after asking three times they brought me a container.

Such a brilliant location, close to main shopping street, trams, restaurants & bars; all within a few mins walk. Classic room was small but very comfy & clean. Lots to like: air con efficient, coffee machine, bottled water in fridge, magnifying mirror in bathroom, good lighting & bedside reading lights, bed & pillows comfortable, nice towels, great shower, good choice of breakfast, nice bar area, friendly & helpful staff. Great value for money!

If I had to nitpick, it was a small room and not much space between the end of the bed and the desk. I just moved the chair to give more room to walk around the bed to the bathroom so not too much of an inconvenience. Would book again in the future!

Hotel is situated just off main pedestrian streets in old town and is surrounded by shops, cafes, restaurants within easy reach. Quiet, comfortable bed, coffee machine in the room with pods replaced daily. You can fill up your water bottles easily downstairs, there is a bar and beautiful little lounge there too. Staff is friendly and helpful, sometimes can get busy at reception, however they are very efficient

Taxi and Uber access to hotel is restricted due to location, but there are Taxis that hotel can organise if you require one.

I agree with everyone else that the location was perfect. Less than five minutes walk to the best people watching bars and also the same distance to a tram stop for the airport. It was surprising for a hotel of this size to have a sizeable bar which was greatly appreciated when it rained. All the staff were excellent.

The neighbourhood is almost totally pedestrianised so unknowledgeable taxistas might not be able figure out how to reach the hotel. The amount of floor space not taken up by the bed was minimal.

The reception and cleaning staff where very friendly, polite and helpful. The hotel is a minute from the main street of Bordeaux and a 5-10 minute walk from the airport tram stop which is cheap and easy to use. The room was very spacious and it had a separate toilet which is unusual in hotel rooms. Comfy bed, comfy chairs, good lightening and plenty of coat hangers. Room was very quiet, no banging doors which we loved.

The view from the room was of a wall but its not the hotels fault where it is built. You could still lean out the window and check what the weather was like.
