Breakfast was good for me. We knew it was a continental breakfast which suited me perfectly for day 1. The room with terrace was lovely and the kitchenette was good with pots, pans, soap and cloths. Well stocked. Large bed. Fabulous location for the Old City. Wonderful, happy staff.

My husband did not appreciate the breakfast even though he knew it was continental. Had there been scrambled egg as advertised, not boiled, it would have been better. As a result we went to the close by supermarket and bought baguettes, meats, eggs and made light breakfasts in our kitchenette much cheaper than the paid hotel breakfast. This is the only fault we had during our stay. Well done for a fabulous hotel.

The staff were lovely and gave us a good welcome. There was a good atmosphere in the place. It was clean, cosy and warm.

Our stay at Staycity Aparthotels Bordeaux City Centre was simply perfect! This is by far the best aparthotel we’ve ever stayed in. The apartment was modern, clean, and beautifully designed, with everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The location is fantastic — right in the heart of the city, within walking distance to shops, restaurants, and major attractions. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with anything we needed. We especially loved the little kitchen area, which made it easy to prepare meals when we didn’t feel like going out. It truly felt like a home away from home, and we’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Bordeaux!

The staff were all incredible, very helpful. It was nice to have access to food and laundry room on site. The water stations and coffee were an added bonus. The bed was comfortable and they accommodated our request for extra pillows. The rain shower was absolutely the BEST! We didn’t use the kitchenette, but it looked stocked with all you would need to cook a meal. The only thing I would have to say that has impacted my score was the occasional smell that came from either the shower drain or from the walls near the toilet. It had a sewage smell. We didn’t spend much time in our room as we were enjoying the sights of Bordeaux, so it wasn’t a huge factor for us. Other than that, I would highly recommend!

The strange smell from the drains

The location is excellent - walking distance to the train station (20 min) and most attractions (15 min). There is a Capucines market and the grocery store near by - to get supply of fresh fruits/veggies/ cheeses and everything else you may need. The rooms are small (I stayed in the unit mini) but ergonomically very well situated. The rooms are overlooking internal courtyard (beautiful) which calls for quiet and restful nights. The breakfast is plentiful; the reception team is welcoming, friendly and helpful. Overall I liked my stay and can recommend it to anyone.

The only complain I have is that the kitchenette is tiny and dark - there is no light in the kitchenette area which makes it challenging to use. The fridge is tiny too - size of hotel room fridge - you cannot store enough produce.

It was in a very good location and we were able to walk to quite a lot of the places we wanted to see. We had a very good trip down the river too. It was nice and quiet at night too.

the wardrobe space was a bit limited but all the other facilities were very good. One evening we did ask to eat in the hotel and although the meal was hot and tasty enough, it was rather expensive for a meal that had clearly come out of the microwave. This side of things could be improved as some people might be arriving at the hotel after a long flight and need to have a platter of some kind.

Good location, not too near the centre but walking distance so it isn't too busy all the time. Staff were excellent. We were listening to them and they spoke about 4 different languages within the space of 10 minutes to various guests. The bed was comfy, the room was nice and what we needed, and the facilities in the bar were a nice option to have for a night cap.

The bathroom is a little cramped and dark, the light was in a strange position, meaning you basically shower in the dark, and the rest of the bathroom looked liked it was built on a budget in a hurry.

Location: very much at the historical city center. Just a few minute walk away from supermarkets, restaurants, trams stops and major attractions. Despite being in the city center the hotel room was very quiet. Comfortable and practical: the bedroom had all the utensils and appliances needed. The bed was comfortable and the room stayed at a very cozy temperature. My bedroom even had a lovely small balcony with a beautiful view to the courtyard. TV had YouTube app installed which is a plus given that all cable channels were French. Clean: everything looked clean when I arrived. I was alerted before booking, during my online check-in and when I arrived that there was no daily housekeeping, and if requested it would have an extra cost. I was made very much aware of this policy before I paid for my stay. It wasn’t a surprise, which I very much appreciate. However, after 2 nights I requested for the towels to be replaced and the trash to be picked up and there were no extra fees charged.

Some appliances need maintenance. The hair dryer wasn’t working properly and the grid of the kitchen exhaust fan fell while I was pressing some buttons due to some loose screws. The heater/air conditioning fan made some very loud noises when turned off/on and had a loud humming sound every once in a while. I had to turn off the heating a few minutes before going to bed so not to be bothered by these noises during sleep. It wasn’t a deal breaker as the room kept a cozy temperature all night. The kitchenette sink was also a bit narrow for some of the existing kitchen ware

Location was quiet, and away from the noisy Victor Hugo Blvd. ,but close enough to use the many services on this main street. One being the tram stop only 7 minutes walk. Room was small, but had everything you need for a comfortable stay. Bed had a wonderful mattress and soft linens. Iron and full size ironing board , safe and hair dryer. Lights above headboard were a nice touch. Kitchenette had a toaster, tea kettle and coffee machine. Plus dishes, flatware and a pot and pan. Cook top, microwave and small fridge perfect for my stay. I did make breakfast and a couple of dinners during my stay. There was a laundry room with paid washer and dryer near the lobby very convenient. The property is very secure and clean, and if you stay check out the back exit/entrance, nicer street to walk with good sidewalks, and bikes to lent! Last but not least the staff is very friendly and helpful… was a great stay.

Nothing to note

Most places are not as nice as they look like in photos, but in this case, the room and the common areas were much nicer than they look like in the photos. I'll surely go there if I ever travel to Bordeaux again, and I'll recommend it to my friends. If you're going to get a room, my suggestion is to get one in the ground floor with the garden view.

We were there for 6 nights, and no room cleaning was included for such a period. Although, you can always get extra fresh towels.
