Breakfast was decent, location was good.

We really did not appreciate that kids are not allowed in the swimmingpool! One of the main reasons we selected the hotel was the pool… with the idea to swim after skiing. It turned out that kids are only allowed between 10AM and 2PM. That basically rules out the use of the pool completely. Even morning access would have been ok, but to allow from 10AM - 2PM is a joke.

Location, staff was very polite.

SPA was nice but I was quite shocked with hygiene standards. Most of the people are not using towels when going to sauna, they are leaving puddles of sweat on the benches and then jumping to swimming pool without taking shower. Maybe for some this is normal but I find it disgusting.

Absolutely the best one in town. Been here twice and cannot fault it. Super location (lift to the glacier is less than 100 MTRS away town centre 150 mtrs), views to die for out of all the windows of the mountains. Breakfast is the best I have come across on all our stays through France and Italy with everything you can think of. Private parking in the underground carpark is a bonus, but book ahead as it can fill up. Staff are always polite and helpful and always have the information you need. The indoor pool and spa facilities were included and lovely condition and super clean. Bonus is free tea, coffee and water in reception all day. Cannot find fault. We will be back here every time.

Loved the location. Loved the bar and lounge. Loved having the spa there to go to every day. The beds were very comfortable. The linens were nice. The cleaning staff did an excellent job. The restaurants were very nice. The coffee machine in the lobby was outstanding!

The hot tub wasn't big enough for the number of guests. The Jets weren't strong enough and it wasn't hot enough. The electrical cord on the provided fan in the room was not long enough to put it in front of an open window or door to pull the evening cold air in. Room got hot during the day. The Concierge staff gets three out of four stars. They did a relatively good job but misinformed us a few times.

POSITIVES: The staff was so helpful anytime we requested something for the room or came to the front desk for anything. Staff was especially, helpful when one night we had some very annoying and disturbing guests next door (the type of guest that bring all their relatives to stay in one room and are super loud), thankfully front desk took care of the matter, immediately! The breakfast every morning was very delicious and amazing variety! 10/10! The room we booked was a Superior Dbl Room, bed was large and comfortable (but, pillows too flat and not good for neck), we had top floor w/partial view (we would have full amazing views if they had not designed the hotel to cover most of the beautiful snowy mountain). Right across from the Aigulle du Midi cable car! Several amazing cafe's and restaurants just steps/minutes away! The location is perfection! 10/10!

There are 2 major design flaws in this hotel. #1 The balconies all have partial views as the patios are all half covered with wood paneling, which blocks the beautiful views. Very disappointing. #2 The entry of the room has no lighting, it is very dark at entrance. There is a full length mirror but it is useless since there is no lighting. When someone is using the restroom, you are unable do your makeup, or use this area at all because you cant see anything.

This hotel had everything we needed and wanted for our time in Chamonix!! It was a very easy walk from/to the bus "station". We never felt like we needed a car to get around town, we easily walked everywhere. The hotel staff was fantastic, the bar was convenient for when we wanted a beverage, and the availability of the complimentary plain/sparkling water and coffee was well utilized. The Spa did a great job with my wife/daughter for their facials, and the pool facilities we clean, comfortable and enjoyable. Our room was perfect for our family, with the bunkbeds for our young adult daughters, the patio with views, and the bathtub in the room - not common in European hotel rooms. The proximity of this location to the Aiguille du Midi tram was perfect, and the walk to the train to Mir de Glace was less than 10 minutes. We also loved how easy it was to find shopping, food, and coffee from this property.

There isn't anything we didn't like.

Good location next to the tram station, and close to train and bus stations. Fantastic spa: steam room, sauna, cold room and cold plunge. Robes and slippers provided. Specialty coffee machine in Lobby were nice. Cold still and gaseous water on tap. Desk attendants informative.

Although we were advised ahead of time, our room had a sloped roof, low near the head of the bed which was not a problem, but in the shower you couldn’t stand up. Also though we had asked for a quiet room, ours was on the side of a busy and quite noisy road. We asked to change our booking from 3 nights to 2, cancelling the last night. The manager refused to let us change our reservation and would not refund all or even partial 3rd night charge. We checked out 1 day early anyway. Also required 50% prepayment months before actual stay.

The hotel staff were kind, friendly and helpful at all times. The hotel itself was in the perfect location directly opposite Aiguille du Midi cable car and with stunning views of Mont Blanc and the surrounding mountains. The spa was beautiful and the perfect pamper and recovery after the days of hiking. I’d highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Chamonix.

I wish we had booked the restaurant earlier as we missed this opportunity sadly but it looked incredible.

We chose this hotel in part because it is adjacent to the Aiguille du Midi lift station, and within easy walking distance from the bus drop off point for the BlaBlaCar bus we took from Annecy, France. Heliopic is indeed a full spa facility, with a lap pool, hot tub, Turkish sauna, cold room, ice bath, and relaxation areas. Massage is available. These facilities are clean and modern, and were not at all crowded. The hotel also has a great bar with craft cocktails. There are two restaurants within the hotel. We managed to fill ourselves with tapas from the bar, and had to scale back our dinner at the fancier restaurant. There was also a second restaurant that seemed to focus on fondue and beer, and seemed very lively. We went into the center town the following night for an excellent dinner at a restaurant that featured regional dishes. We had a large breakfast at the on two days, and both buffet meals were excellent. Our room was spacious {except for the ceiling height}, modern, and comfortable. We had a private balcony with a view of a major mountain peak. The hotel had coffee and water available at all times from machines in the lobby

Our bathroom had a sit-down shower, as the ceiling under the gable room did not allow one to stand in the tub. The headboard of the bed was also under the lowest portion of the ceiling. Not all of the rooms in this hotel are like this one, which is why we paid less than we would have in some other rooms. I hit my head on the ceiling once, but kind of knew what I was getting into on booking. On the whole, this was a very nice room.

This property is located within steps of the Du Midi cable car in a short walk from the bus station. They also had complementary crêpes and a lovely spa, with some of the best flavored waters and teas. Lots of on-site indoor entertainment in the case of bad weather which we had, and a Michelin star restaurant that's a fabulous experience with wonderful cuisine.

The property was quite a ways from the train station and unfortunately there was a big snowstorm the night before we had to go to the train at seven in the morning, and there were no clear sidewalks or transportation to the train station so we had to walk in 2 feet of snow Almost half a mile which was quite a soggy affair.
