Location Location Location .. sadly not ski in ski out however the hotel has a driver which takes you to all the slopes close by. Massive Thankyou to drive Mike - this gentleman was amazing over the new year period - super hard working and could do enough for us. Hotel Staff also that needs a massive Thankyou - Francesca - this lady was warm and caring Patrick - knowledgeable and kind Basically all the front of house staff - the daily questions we would fire at them and nothing was to much trouble. Always carrying bags, phones going, other guests waiting and still all remained happy and curious - the staff are outstanding and went above and beyond. From afternoon snacks in the reception area to evening nibbles with the fire burning away - all these little gestures and kindness truly made our stay. New Year’s Eve - hotel provided champagne, fresh sea food and a selection of high quality bite sized canapés - exceptional - what an evening ! Hello 2025. We would love to return. We were pleasantly surprised with the attention to detail - a beautiful spot !

Sadly early morning you could hear road noise - but I’m a light sleeper.

My mother and I had the most wonderful time at Grand Hotel des Alpes. The staff were all so friendly and helpful, the location was perfect in the centre of town and we were kindly sent a list of restaurants to book too. There was a private shuttle that took us to the cable car which was very helpful and hassle free and the spa and canapés/cakes were heaven after a days skiing. We couldn’t recommend it more and would love to return again soon. Thank you!

Fantastic Stay, the staff is excellent, very helpful and very nice. It could not be a more perfect location in Chamonix, right in the heart of the town center. Very easy to arrive in car.

For a hotel of this quality, the only thing that could have been better is a coffee machine in the room (nespresso or something like that) and for them to replace the bottled water every day.

The style and the location : This hotel is right in the middle of everything. I loved the fact that when you go out, you find yourself directly in the lively charming center of Chamonix with all the boutiques and restaurants and sportsshops. The hotel is beautiful, really, with a 19th century charm. Exceptional service from the staff. The suite Mont-Blanc is amazing, all new, perfect decoration. The spa was a little too small to our taste but was not busy when we were there, so it was fine. Such a good energy. We will be staying there again !

The location is very good, the bed and shower are great. The service, especially at the reception, is spectacular!!! The pool and sauna area are very stuffy and smelly. It would be better if it were an outdoor space. At night there is a lot of noise coming from the main street. It can be considered a 4-star hotel.

Everything was super great , the reception staff were really friendly and helpful with everything, they explained for us everything about the whole city not only the hotel , the afternoon tea area was so nice and relaxing, we had great time in the spa and we used the jacuzzi and sauna . The location was amazing we were in the center of the center and everything was so close to us , the whole city was around us in every corner

The hotel did a great job assisting us with everything we needed including a ride to our next destination. Everything was excellent. Franchesca that worked at the hotels reception was a great help and was very welcoming.

The pillows were very uncomfortable to sleep on.

The beds were hard which is not what you want after a long day of hiking. No aircon in the room. Room size is small.

The best thing about the hotel was the staff- they were simply amazing! I arrived to the hotel with my mom who needed to see a doctor. Francesa and Phillipe could not have been more helpful and kind. They went above and beyond to help us. We couldn't get a taxi so Phillipe dropped us to the hospital. Francesa was so kind and caring. I would 100% return.

A lovely, established hotel. Great location with wonderful staff. Really well set up if you want to ski and a great, brand new spa facility after a day on the slopes.
