The staff are all friendly, welcoming and professional. The breakfast buffet foods were great, very varied with local artisan produce included. The hotel is very characterful 'Charme' ! In a quiet corner right in the town centre. The room we had, had sky lights with fantastic mountain views. It was very warm and cosy, clean and lovely bedding. The house keepers serviced our room very well during our stay. Excellent value for money.

The only thing which could be reviewed by them is first impressions as we go up the stairs and corridor. The stair carpet is dark so shows everything and hadn't been swept. This got worse during our stay of 2 nights. The room was spotless though so don't worry about how much effort they put into making your room the best it can be.

The spa - sauna was at 40 degrees and didint get hotter than that and the water in the jacuzzi was not very hot either.

The location is fabulous! The room was a decent size and the shower was nice. In the room is a small coffee maker and places to hang clothing plus a desk area. The skylight up above our bed was directly facing Monte Blanc, so it was like looking at a picture during daylight hours. Beautiful to wake up to! Plus watching the hang gliders was great!!

Steep and narrow steps going up to our 2nd floor room. Parking was right outside the lobby of the hotel, next to the church, which was a plus, but directions to get to it was very confusing. You pay for parking @ $17 US per night.

friendly staff and warm welcome. We arrived very early in the morning. The gentleman in charge of breakfast greeted us with cafe au lait and croissant, whereas the receptionist helped us out with the Chamonix weather, to find out if it is still good to visit the glacier. The whole morning was raining hard. And the staff find out that there would be some sunshine 1-4pm. And it turned out to be the only sunshine we had during our 3-day stay in Chamonix.

Our room comes with a window on the roof and we could not open it at all during our stay, though we could see a magnificent snow-covered Mountain view from the the room.

Actually, I was arranged to stay at the adjacent new sister-hotel Le Chalet Whymper due to management reasons , they arranged a room with Mont Blanc Viewfor me, which is fantastic and very spectacular! Just this alone is worth it. Next door is a huge living room, which makes up for the narrowness of our room.

A little bit disappointed for a hotel that host tourists from all over the world but have no an English TV channel. Whymper's sauna is great, but Le Faucigny 's spa water is cold : (
