Property was very tidy and clean. Our room was comfortable and had everything we needed. Not sure why people say the rooms are tiny. We didn’t find that to be the case at all. The bathroom was huge! The breakfast was plentiful and enough to start the day off well. Lots of variety. All of the staff were pleasant and kind. It was surprisingly warm when we were there but there was a fan provided. Parking is provided behind their sister hotel for a fee of $15 euros per night which I thought was a bit steep but parking is non existent in the city center so we were grateful we had a designated spot. We would def stay here again!

We liked just about everything.

I have stayed at le Whymper on several occasions over the last 15-20 years as its location is second-to-none for access to Chamonix Centre, making it a great option for non-skiers and après-skiers alike. Rooms are clean and functional with good-sized en-suite bathrooms.

In the past, le Whymper's operators have provided minibus shuttles to and from the main lifts -- something that is currently not available as part of the stay but would be very nice to have once again. Breakfast and afternoon cake are included in the stay; while the breakfast buffet was passable, a single plate of rather unappetising slices of cake on the side in the common room at tea-time was not up to expectations (and was largely left alone by the residents).

the gentleman at the breakfast serving was very kind in bringing up some yogurt for our son after breakfast as the flavour wasn't available when we sat for breakfast. these small gestures go a long way!

they should be more clear about which floor your room is on, it would help in planning luggage sizes. All though they did offer to help me with taking up 3 heavy suitcases, but we did not want to inconvenience them.

A lovely clean and comfy room with an amazing shower in the bathroom. Salon room with games in it was a nice touch. Good breakfast too.

It was very hot so air conditioning would have been appreciated but a fan was provided which was nice. I do appreciate that for most of the year ac would not be needed so understand why it's not fitted.

Perfectly located in the heart of Charmonix with a great breakfast in the common room upstairs. The gondola to the Aguille du Midi can be reached in about 15 min by foot and also the train station to the Mer de Glace is close by. Though the rooms are really very small, the bathroom was rather big and everything was clean.

Since there was no parking space for our car and all parking areas were full, we had to park away quite far, this could be communicated better before booking; hotels with their own parking area definitely get a plus, since it gets crazy there even in summer.

Totaly friendly and warm service staff. Hopefully we soon be back Amazining location right behind the St. Michel church where everything starts and finishes in chamonix. Great breakfast and Café/ chillout area wjere you can put on your own music

The sauna could have a more comfy chill area and douche water area

Staff were great. Bed comfortable. Great breakfast. Sauna was a nice way to relax after a long week in the mountains. Great location - close to the centre but without the noise.

Room was a bit small and couldn’t open a window without opening the balcony door.

Breakfast was perfect and rich for us, different salt&sweets, we really enjoyed it; we had a very early transfer to town and the staff was very kind to prepare breakfast 30 min before; even if the room was small and at ground floor, size of shower was big enough; living and complimentary coffee was perfect for the afternoon; the location is close to center but not so simple to find; thank you chalet!! the view from the living with the Aiguille du Midi fom the coach...stunning!

size of the room was kind of small, but for us was ok because we didn t stay much in the room.

Room was small but comfortable, nice modern shower plus hotel has a sauna. Good breakfast. Ski room to store ski equipment. Excellent location, close to town center and parking, friendly and helpful staff.

It's a small chalet with no elevator so you have to carry your bags upstairs.

The location is great, near restaurants and a grocerie store. For a last minute, and just one night it was ok.

The smell in the hallway, the breakfast was a bit limited, the fruit salad was a bit spoiled, and there was no decaffeinated coffee. The blanket on the bed full of dust and kind of dirty.
