Staff wonderful, helpful and friendly. Evening meal was very nice and always appreciate a restaurant in the hotel so you don't have to trail around to find somewhere (cost a little more than some other Logis properties we have stayed at for an equivilent meal.) Not such an extensive breakfast as some places...but it was very reasonably priced, so good value and totally tasty. Our room was being re furbished and was fresh, clean and tidy. Great shower in the bathroom. The location was wonderful, literally straight into the centre of this beautiful town. Safe parking at the back of the hotel, which is always appreciated when you have a car full of 'stuff'

Hotel is situated in the centre of a very picturesque town which has medieval origins. Room was located in the annex and was comfortable if not overly spacious. We ate in the restaurant and the food was excellent, also good breakfast in the morning with coffee which was not from a machine and one of the best croissants I have ever tasted! Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Good parking in the interior courtyard of the hotel.

Nothing at all, a good overnight stay in a good location.

Stayed here with a group of motorcycle friends. We were made welcome from the start, shown the secure car park and asked if we required dinner, which we didn’t. The hotel is well located, clean and well equipped. Breakfast was good. Would stay again.

Central position in town, with parking

Arrived back at Hotel after 22.30 and everything was shut down, the front door was locked, lights were off and no signs or obvious means of getting back inside the Hotel. Having eventually to go around the back of the Hotel, luckily our room key opened the garage gate! Panic over. More information required re above for guests

Parking on site was a real bonus particularly with a fully loaded car which was visible from our bedroom. Our room was comfortable with the wc separate from the bath/shower room. After our previous night we needed a comfortable bed and we were very happy with ours. The restaurant produced a beautiful evening dinner which due to the warm evening ,we were able to enjoy in the garden facility. An adequate breakfast the following morning made Le Lion d'Or a perfect overnight stop. Should we manage to travel in this area again we would not hesitate staying here for several nights. Excellent experience at a very reasonable price. Merci!

Room was comfortable and clean with a good bathroom. The breakfast was excellent and good value at 8euros and the 26euros menu for dinner was also very good. All the staff were friendly and helpful.

Our room in the annexe was slightly noisy in the early morning when the dustbin men came!

Location is very good, staff were good and was clean. Parking was good.

The room I had had a finicky lock which required practice to get right. Also probably more a 2* hotel, but was cheap anyway.

The room was clean and comfortable, with a nice en-suite shower room. Dinner was superb. Parking was secure, and free. The hotel was well situated in the centre of town, and within easy walking distance of the historic medieval area.

It was difficult to leave at night, since the doors to the reception area were locked.

Would have liked coffee making facilities in room, but other hotels in France also seem lacking a kettle
