The most valuable thing about the hotel is the staff, they are very friendly and helpful. Then the distance to the Swiss border: just 1 minute walk. The room was fine, and it was very clean.

Mostly, the fact that we realised at our arrival that the pool area was closed. One of the main reasons that we booked this hotel was because of the pool. And it was a bit disappointing.

Reception is 24/7 available. This was great for a female solo traveler as one might feel worried coming back late, it is not a touristy area. I also liked the accessibility to both Basel and the airport. Rooms are equipped with everything you need.

Nothing in particular but if you care about being in a location where it is more touristy with nice views, more walkable streets/cafes right next to the hotel, this might not be the best place for you. But if you want good value for money, accessible hotel then this is great place. Also if you're staying 7 days or less, room service is not included. So keep this in mind. There is no air conditioner but that was not a problem in October.

The staff were amazing, and in particular, the woman who was on the desk when I was checking in (I forgot to ask her name but please find out and give her my thanks!). She was a lovely person when we were very tired and stressed after a long interrailing trip. The place is only a few minute walk to the tram which takes you right into the centre of Basel which is very useful. If you plan to use the tram to return too, you should buy a day pass as it will work out cheaper.

My only feedback would be to have more plug sockets by the bed as they were only on one side of the bed. Having one or two on both sides would be more helpful. But other than that, I thought the property was good value for what you pay.

Friendly staff, clean room. Loved the bed and the fact the room had a small kitchen. Very, very close to the border of Switzerland, with prices that are much nicer. With the tram you're in no time in the city centre of Basel. We didn't have breakfast but there is a very nice bakery (also with sandwiches and great coffee) about 100m further down the street. The room had no air conditioner but the fan was very welcome and quiet. Parking not too expensive and next to the hotel.

Very small bathroom, pretty warm room. Noisy sounds from the street. At night there was some youth loitering at the parking lot and on the street.

This modern hotel is a good starting point for a few days in Basel, as it is well connected to the city centre by frequently served tram and bus lines, at a reasonable room price compared with Suisse hotels. Check-in is possible 24/7, and the little kitchenette enables self-catering. Sitting on the balcony and watching the semi-busy road while sipping a complementary coffee is relaxing. The pool is a nice add-on, mainly for families with young children (what can possibly be smelled at the end of a long and busy day). Serious swimming is not possible due to its short length; the Rhine river is the better choice in summer anyway for a swim. As an alternative for the breakfast at 15€ p.p. there is a lovely café-style bakery (boulangerie) just 50m down the road with an astounting selection of hearty and sweet pastry.

Some parts of the wall and carpet show signs of wear and should be refreshed from time to time.

We liked the position that includes the airport vicinity.. for me was important that we could stay near the airport due to an early departure. There is a Turkish mini market and a very nice and friendly french boulangerie just next door and if you walk for 10 mins more or less you will reach the commercial area of Saint Louis! There are a few restaurants too near by.. Sushi, Thai and a couple of Turkish restaurants.. If you like playing at the Casino there is one just crossed the Swedish border (15 mins walk)! You can reach the centre of Basel with the tram n. 11 (maybe 20mins)!

I didn t like the fact that the hotel didn t respond to my requests of information about transportation to the hotel before arrival.. no big deal but it would have been helpful! Apart from that it was all good👍

Affordable hotel to visit different Christmas market cities in Alsace region or to visit route of wines. From Saint Louis you can reach easily Basel city centre by tram or the main cities in Alsace region by regional train. And even with the train ticket cost, this is really still a good alternative instead of paying very expensive hotels in Strasbourg or Colmar during Christmas period. Simple restaurants, bakery and mini markets are located within walking distance. The staff is very helpful and speak different language beside English (and French of course).

Kitchen utensils were not particularly clean. The water dispenser in the reception didn't work properly but this was not a major issue in fact.

Located in a quite part of the city, walking distance to a tram going in Basel City Center. Bus station in front of the hotel has a direct line to Saint Louis train station, easy connection to Colmar and Strasbourg. The room was spacious, bed comfy, breakfast was fine and personnel nice.

The ventilation in the room was a bit off, sometimes the room smelled like sewage, other times it was a heavy smell of incense sticks. Luckily we could open the window and got some fresh air. The carpet in the room is a bit old, but it seemed clean.

On the positive side, the price was good and breakfast was included. The Wi-Fi worked well, and the location is excellent — very close to the Swiss border with easy access to Basel city centre by tram. Convenient and affordable for a short stay.

The room could have been cleaner — there was dust around and even a small spiders. The heating was limited, so it felt quite cold (around 20°C). The shower pressure was low, but manageable.

We chose this facility for its price and location. We enjoyed a very spacious apartment style suite (bedroom, bathroom, family room with kitchen for 4 nights. This was used as a pre-cruise location prior to taking a Gate 1 river cruise between Basel and Amsterdam. The room also had a double balcony spanning both the bedroom and family room. The balcony had a table and 4 chairs. We arrived by plane at the Basel airport (BSL) which straddles both Switzerland and France. Exiting on the France side, we took a 15 Euro taxi ride (about 10 minutes) to the hotel. Hotel staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and available 24/7. Front door is locked between 9PM - 5AM. Access is provided by key code. The hotel is located in a residential area and is very quiet. Within a 10 minute walk there are several markets for groceries as well as restaurants nearby. A 3 minute walk brings you to the border of Switzerland and another 2 minutes to the tram stop which we used to take us into Basel's Old Town. The apartment hotel has an elevator, but no air conditioning. Each room was equipped with an oscillating floor fan. For our July stay, we found the fans and open floor to ceiling doors leading to the patio to be sufficient.

Although the front desk is stated to be available 24/7, that doesn't mean it is staffed. While there is always someone available you may have to seek them out.
