Personnel at breakfast was super kind, they helped me with my special dietary requirement which I really appreciate. The heating was strong but you can regulate it or turn it off if you want. You can open the window, nowadays many hotels have the windows blockes which I find really annoying, but in this one if you need a bit of fresh air, you can have it. They offer small storage space but was sufficient for a few days. It seems that the property was something like a convent or something similar, which give a special environment that I liked. Anyhow it is fully renewed so confort meets good standards.

The restaurant is not open for dinner. If you need to iron they give you an iron and some sort of tablecloth but they do not give you the table so I had to iron in my bed, which was ok for a small blousse but if you have troussers I am afraid you will really struggle for ironing. The check out is a bit slow because they make you pay the city tax, if there is people doing the check out before you will have to wait, that really surprised me since all hotels nowadays charge you the tax together with the room rate.

Odelya - Stadthotel im Park is a fantastic choice for any stay in Basel. The staff is extremely helpful and informative. The restaurant recommendation we received from Reception was perfect abd we thoroughly enjoyed our traditional Swiss dinner. The rooms are spacious with good ensuite bathrooms. The breakfast buffet has a lot of very tasty choices. Two of the best things about the Odelya are its location steps away from the historic district and its beautiful park like settings with the extensive gardens. I will definitely return to this excellent hotel.

The signage outside the hotel could be improved to make it easier to find.

In my opinion it deserves 4 stars, My friend stayed at another 4 star and had less comfort and less amenities than I did, The room is quite cozy I was most impressed by free water in the room in glass bottles (as that is usually a 5 star hotel level of comfort) Parking options are great - on their private territory a lot of places for a fee. Also outside the hotel along the street there are blue parking places where the car can be left for a short time/ night/ Sunday (standard Swiss rules on blue parking places). So yes, I was happy with my hotel choice in Basel that weekend.

They only have one shampoo&body wash, which is expectable for a 3 star

The room was spacious and bright, with large windows that looked out onto the treetops. The gardens are beautiful and the location is very quiet at night. The room was somewhat basic in terms of amenities, but comfortable and clean with plenty of clothing storage. Breakfast was delicious, though it cost extra with our reservation. I was traveling for work and appreciated the charming common workspace upstairs with potted plants, comfortable furnishings, and a tea/coffee setup.

There was no coffee maker in the room. The lobby, gardens, and room were charming but the hallways and stairwells felt coldly industrial. We could hear loud footsteps from above at certain times of day.

Cleanliness of the room. Perfect and silent location. The Basel travel card is offered to travel in OV for free during the stay. Early check-in at 2 PM was perfect for resting and working in the afternoon. Beautiful park around Close to Spalentor and Peterskirche

The AC was a big ceiling fan. I was quite surprised at the beginning, but it was doing an excellent job of cooling down the room. So not really a negative point.

A large hotel room with comfortable beds, the ability to adjust the temperature and a wonderful view. An amazing polite helping staff who will come to the rescue around the clock and the best neighbor's cat who comes to sleep on the sofa stole our heart

The breakfast is average, only two types of eggs are hot, but a lot of rolls and pastries, very poor noise insulation in the rooms, but we walked so much and were so tired that we instantly fell asleep on very comfortable beds and slept sweetly until morning :)

Lovely renovated rooms in a beautiful building. The buffet breakfast was excellent and the check-in staff were efficient and helpful. Our Basel cards were sent through by email before our arrival so we could use them as soon as we landed at the airport. The hotel is conveniently situated 5 minutes from the old town (at Spalentor) and on the no. 3 tramline.

There was really nothing at all!

Beautiful room and quiet setting! Lovely park around. Squeaky twin bed, but, heck it’s Switzerland, so the American King is not what you find outside of the big chains. Great breakfast and lovely dinner with lots of greens and fresh herbs at the Ayledo Restaurant adjacent. Great connection with public transport to downtown and airport.

With more than $ 500 per night it felt overpriced. But, I guess, that’s the nature of the art fair beast.

I really liked the cosy design of the room. It was a very spacious room with a spacious bathroom, the personnel was really friendly, the garden and backyard is super cool and they even have a main coon cat sitting the in the lobby 😍

The power outlets are very small and they dont fit round pins, so i couldnt use my hair dryer. I would recommend getting some adapters for the outlets.

In general a good hotel and quiet / central place to stay. They were very helpful and have "fishbags" (clothing bags) available in case you want to enjoy a swim / float in the river Rhine. Good breakfast.

Nothing really. It was a bit warm in the room, but windows could be opened fully and a ventilator was provided.
