We could mention a few things that weren't perfect, but it's far from our intention to focus on that, as many other aspects were truly good. We especially appreciated the breakfast — a wide variety of food, all very tasty. We appreciate the cheese selection. We really liked our room with a garden view. Having a small kitchenette was a good thing for us. The mattress was very comfortable, and we slept very well. The reception staff were kind, and the lady in charge of breakfast was extremely hardworking and smart. We will definitely stay here again in the future.

A small downside was the internet connection — it worked at times, but at other times, we couldn't connect at all. However, this wasn’t a big issue for us, as we had a mobile data plan that included roaming.

Dog friendly hotel near a small park, the marina and beach promenade (but dogs not allowed on the beach) . Plenty of restaurants nearby. Very friendly staff. Nice breakfast (extra cost) with hot selection , good coffee and seedy bread. Very quiet room and comfortable bed . Secure parking ( at extra cost). Lovely decor and future and garden space . Would like to return in warmer weather.

Room was on the small side with limited storage but adequate for our needs for one night. Dogs are not allowed in the restaurant.

We were in France and wanted to visit La Rochelle for a couple of days so booked here based on the good reviews and we were not disappointed. Our room had a balcony overlooking the garden, it was quiet, comfy bed and friendly staff but above all it was in a great location and dog friendly! A short walk to all the bars and restaurants where we liked to sit and watch the world go by.

Personally I would not book here during very hot weather as there is no air con in the rooms. When we stayed it was warm not hot so didn't feel the need for any a/c

From the very first moment at Athome Residence I felt warmly welcomed by the staff. The room was clean and quiet. I had an appartment on the ground floor in the garden and it was an especially pleasant experience due to the green surroundings and fresh scent of the trees. Easy check in and check out, no problems with getting an invoice for the company. The hotel is located close to a bakery and a small supermarket. It's also only 10 minutes from the outstanding aquarium, which is a must-see in La Rochelle, and 15-20 minutes from the old town.

I would love to have a small armchair or just a soft chair in the room, the plastic chairs at the table weren't very comfortable to sit on. Would be perfect if a room information sheet was additionally provided in English as well ;)

Great location to get to beaches, shops (for food etc), inner city etc. Lovely staff. Great access to public transport.

High prices for access to the spa. Rooms and balconies are fairly small in comparison to similar places, plus guests in neighbouring rooms can look into your room from their balcony. The road is really busy during the day.

Proximity to both beach and town. Friendly staff comfy bed

Nothing major but as they offer a kitchenette to prepare meals in your accommodation a pair of scissors and a grater would be really helpful. Also the expectation is to wash any dishes etc you use so they should provide a larger bottle of washing up liquid in the little washing up set they provide. Little things but would have made it 10/10

We enjoyed being able to open the door to our private patio. It was nice to hang our clothes outside our unit after washing them in the washers they provided that were in a different location. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. All our questions were answered, and I enjoyed booking the steam room and jacuzzi for 1/2 hour. We enjoyed the selection of breakfast items they provided with fresh orange juice, and the coffee was delicious. The room had a well equipped kitchen. The bathroom was comfortable with a walk-in shower. It was a great location for us to enjoy a nice walk into the city centre and along the beach promenade. We would definitely return to this place should we return to La Rochelle again! The staff, the value, comfort, and location were all exceptional!

Good location, clean room and a good size. Breakfast was great. Staff were fantastic.

Minor points and wouldn't stop is staying again. No bottle of water was provided as it says in the room details, I didnt notice this until after we left. Garden seems a bit untidy.

Lovely staff and dog friendly, even had a gift for our dog on arrival. Large studio on -1 level with lovely secluded terrace, perfect for 3 adults and a dog. Great location although about a 20 / 30 minute walk to the centre, but definitely worth the effort.

The room was lovely, had a lovely space with mini kitchen. Room was cleaned well. The outside space is also beautiful makes you feel like you are in a small retreat.

The breakfast wasn't really worth it, however it was good if you needed it. Double check your facilities before using it not everything is included and it was not made clear
