I had requested a proper bed instead of a sofa bed in the room I had booked, due to health issues, and they fulfilled my request. The room was spotlessly clean, we had a fan which we were very grateful for, our little kitchen facilities to cook our own foods etc. The staff were absolutely amazing, especially the guy who took care of us for breakfast!! He was so welcoming and friendly, gave us so many recommendations and helped us navigate around the city with leaflets and by giving us advice. When we arrived at La Rochelle, we realised that it was bigger than we had originally expected, but that guy helped us feel much more relaxed about it.

The location was wonderful, just what I wanted - a quiet residential area away from the buzz of the city centre. Close to the beach, where you can go for a morning or evening walk. Also close to the supermarket and a big cinema, where I would go every evening. The room itself was bigger than I expected. Comfortable bed, nice balcony facing quiet courtyard, a door separating a room and a kitchenette from the entrance and bathroom area, which gave more privacy. The kitchenette with all essentials was very handy for me as I wanted to buy ready to heat food rather than eat out. Easy access to the city centre. You can either walk (15 -20 min) or take a bus number 3 or 4. The Bus fare is 1.5 euro. Also it's easy to get to the hotel from the aeroport by public bus. Take a bus number 1 at the aeroport , get off at Place Verdun, then take a bus number 3 from the same bus stop and get off at Lac. The hotel is a short walk from there.

No tea mugs. Only small coffee cups, so I had to use two. The position of the shower head when it's in the holder makes taking a shower rather awkward as there isn't enough space even for a thin person. When you hold it in your hand and can stand in a different position, it's Ok. Although these small things didn't bother me much and will definitely stay there again.

The location is excellent to get to the old port area. Staff very friendly and helpful. Our kettle went wrong and was replaced immediately. The maintenance man was very friendly and helpful with ideas for exploring the area.

The bathroom is small. The entrance to the shower cubicle was very small. The hot water boiler is huge and is in the bathroom. It is awkward above the toilet. Kitchenette is small, with no grill, just a microwave and 2 hot plates.

I didn't like that the room didn't have any openable windows. Only balcony door (with anti burglary roller blinds) on the ground floor so there was a risk of someone coming inside during the night if I didn't roll the blinds all the way down. I didn't feel comfortable leaving those door open for the day (when I was at work) so the room was mostly out of air. I didn't like the cleanliness of the shower base, it was horribly clogged straight from the start - I bet it would be cleaned if I ever asked or it, unfortunately I did not.

Quiet location, right by University, which was brilliant making it possible to walk to all the main places of interest. I walked to beach at Les Minimes in less than half an hour. The main attractions were all about 15 minutes away including the Aquarium which was an interesting 10 minute walk away. The marina and harbour where you could take boat trips, the famous towers, all the restaurants and small market were a couple of minutes further. There is a small, well-stocked supermarket 5 minutes walk away near a cinema and fast food places. Safe parking. Spotlessly clean. I felt very safe there.

Everything was very good. Only thing missing was an armchair/comfortable chair in the room.

Easy check in. Arrived 1.5 hrs early. No problem. Fixed comfortable double bed. Fridge. Microwave, towels, hot plates. Cutlery etc all provided. Very close to public transport, local carrefore. Very safe area. Bought weekly public transport bus ticket at 12.5euro. All buses and Yelo boats free. Frequent bus route. Easy 10 min walk to town. Fabulous marinas nearby.

Well, generally this was great. Travelled for a conference at the university. Thank you for sending prior information about accessing the property IF we arrived outside hours. In the event we arrived during working hours. We found this great. Quiet, spacious, comfortable and clean. Free wifi was great in terms of easy access and quality. Bed was super comfortable; clean towels, warm room and ability to control heat in main room and bathroom. Kitchen space was somewhat small for prep. facility, but all cooking apparatus was there and working. Water everywhere was always hot - cheers. I thought the blurb mentioned a hairdryer but there wasn't one there - usually I wouldn't mind but was travelling for work so would have appreciated one. I'd stay here again without any question. Was at the university for work so this was perfect; maybe not if I was planning to spend most of my time around the town centre itself though.

It really would be helpful to have additional signage to help people to find the property - the student accom. area is really confusing. Info. in the room re. buses/ transport to the town centre would be helpful too. Digital cooker stovetop rings - took me a long time to work that out - could you provide some basic info. on this for those of us who are quite analogue? Boiler in the bathroom - massive in such a small space. Male guest hit his head off this a few times!!!!

The comfortable, self-contained apartment was a short walk to the town centre and the beach. Local shops and restaurants were a few minutes walk away. We arrived in the evening and followed clear email instructions on how to access keys etc. Staff were friendly and very helpful. There was the option to avail of paid parking (€6/day), which we took.
