Great advice on local restaurants and places of interest. We visited the old town, street art expo and the evening light show and ate out by the river at La Guinguette. You can buy a ticket at the hotel to get out of the Place de la République car park for €10 for a 24 hour period. For a short stay (evening to morning) it may be more economic to use the ticket from the machine at the car park. Hotel staff were excellent at advising on this. Our group had 3 very nice rooms (102,103,104). All very individual but with a modern circus theme. Room 104 was particularly large and had a balcony adjoining 103 separated by planting.

As other reviews have mentioned the spiral staircase could be an issue with heavy bags.

Hotel is located on a bus but no car road so it was necessary to park the car on a meter away from the hotel and walk to hotel to obtain a day pass 10 euro for the very local excellent modern underground car park 100m from the hotel and trail bags to and from. Breakfast items were very good apart from cold coffee and limited supply of plates and cutlery . No obvious reason why, it was as if they were just learning how!?.Shame because everything else was so good.

Perfectly good, simple hotel. Clean with comfy beds. We all slept well. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Would use again in future.

Public car park is close by, but a pain to get to at the moment due to major roadworks all over Le Mans city centre. This is definitely not the hotel's fault and the staff did their best to assist with directions.

Centrally located, the beautiful old town can easily be visited on foot. At very close proximity, the 15th century cathedral is "on fire" thanks to the amazing light show on it every summer evening from 5 July to 14 September. We so enjoyed it ! Also, there is an underground parking very near the hotel which is very cheap.

Nothing to report here, we stayed only one night, we did not have breakfast at the hotel and in the evening we went out for dinner.

The room was amazing! Best hotel room ever! It was so big. The bed was very comfy with quality sheets so we slept so well. It was absolutely brilliant value for money and if we ever return to Le Mans we will definitely be back. The location was perfect and staff friendly and helpful. I’d definitely recommend!! This hotel is in a fantastic location right in the centre of the old town, we didn’t have long in Le Mans so it was lovely to see the old parts that we did. Nice quirky decor done well on a bit of a budget, we really enjoyed our 1 night stay. loads of good restaurants and shops very nearby within walking distance.

It was really tricky to find a way to access the hotel by car to drop off our bags as it looks like the road is no entry, but actually you can drive down to park up, drop your suitcases off and then drive to one of the nearby underground car parks, which were amazingly good value (I paid €1 for overnight stay!), however the only one I could find entrance to having gone all around the one way system wasn’t a few metres away like another review says, but a good 10 min walk, so it took us some time to get our bearings, but when we did, it was fine. Only other problem was my husband hardly slept because reception had music playing all night in the dining area and our room was above it!

Everything - this property is a great place to stay and the staff were excellent - friendly and very helpful. The room was huge; the food was tasty - breakfast had a good range and quantity and we had a lovely evening meal as well - a set menu with a choice of two dishes for each course. The hotel itself has eclectic decor and a great ambience. Really recommend a stay here. Central square with cafes and smart shops is just two minutes walk away; historic old town is ten minutes walk through the smart centre - lovely location.

It was all great. If arriving by car, you can ignore the no entry sign to pull up in front of the hotel and the staff give clear instructions to the underground car park very nearby under the Place de la Republic (at the top of the road) - parking is free overnight from 7pm onwards.

Breakfast was very basic but the pastries were fresh; the coffee was not hot and not very nice. The room met our needs as travellers and we had a good night's rest.

Breakfast could have been better, access to the lift still required that we use some stairs which was unhelpful. The car parking was 100m from the hotel, rather inconvenient. I would have liked better insytructions on getting to the car park and then the hotel.

The Artyster's interior design was incredible. We loved how lighthearted the theme was. Our room was very comfortable with a large bathroom and shower. Perfect for two people. The location was ideal, with the Pl de la Republique, shops and restaurants a short walk away. Perfect location for walking to and viewing Las Nuit des Chimeres as well.

Artistic style of the hotel and room is simply unique, very large room and bathroom, great comfy huge beds and fab layout. The hotel is super central. Parking nearby only possible with height restriction (car, no van or roofbox) but there is a large carpark available behind Pathe cinema in walking distance) kicker table a lovely detail. Bar seems to serve 24/7 and there is a restaurant onsite and a fantastic traditional pizzeria next door!

Small fridge would be a nice detail.
