The care we had was exceptional…especially since I am lactose intolerant so could not eat some of the (excellent) food…but something was always added so I could have a complete meal. We had a lot of very good advice on what to do, and never felt rushed over meals. The view was superb..so close to where we needed to be!

I wish we had had a kettle in our rooms to make a cup of tea/herbal tea or coffee,when we were exhausted after walking!

Perfect hotel to stay in Lourdes. No frills, but in every way exceptional. Lovely friendly people running the place, really comfortable bed, first rate breakfast. We took the full board option, lunch & dinner was a set menu with no choice; they were delicious and plentiful. Perfect location, just behind the citadel on the banks of the River Gave, 10 minutes walk from the train station, 5 minutes from the Cachot.. The bridge across into the religious city a three minute walk, 10 minutes walk to the Grotto. Quiet apart from the wonderful sound of the river flowing... Completely in the true spirit of Lourdes. Thank you! We look forward to returning.

A very pleasant stay right by the Sanctuary. Sonia and her team were so kind, helpful and welcoming, both prior to our arrival and during our stay. Comfortable beds, clean bedrooms, perfect location, excellent value for money. We particularly appreciated the food options, to take away or on-site, always delicious and just the right price.

Everything was just as we had hoped for. We hope to be back!

Let’s start with the fact that, in Lourdes hotels are dated and primarily aimed at housing the vast numbers of pilgrims. Due to this fact, and based on experiences from other places, Montfort hits all the top grades for its specific location. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, rooms are clean, showers have excellent water pressure, windows let in the wonderful mountain air, and the fresh breeze coming in from the river. You will feel cool even in 30+ degree weather. The location is excellent, 5 minutes or less from the grotto, and Notre Dame de Lourdes. The price is a bargain, and you are a stone’s throw away from all the best restaurants, eateries, shops and the train station.

Nothing, that’s the gist of it. Please just bear in mind, if this is your first time in Lourdes, that this is a place of pilgrimage, focused on the worship and praise of the Blessed Virgin and her appearance to St. Bernadette. Hotels are old here, so please don’t expect the type of facilities you may find in more cosmopolitan places. It is a wonderful place, great price and very comfortable stay. My strongest endorsement and a great location, to set off for the seasonal 9pm candle light procession.

Perfect location specially to the Sanctuary and stores and restaurants. It is clean, bed make up everyday, with fan and heater, the staff reply right away. She booked me a taxi and gave me a message that it will be a little late at 4:45am that was really nice. I highly recommended and definitely will come back here.

It was very difficult to find the hotel with Google Maps, due to many changes in road access. I advise you to ask for directions from the hotel beforehand, as the one way system is difficult to navigate if you’ve not been there before. Parking was private and secure at the back of the hotel for 7€ a night. There was a lift, which we needed to use. The room was a bit old fashioned, but completely adequate and well equipped, plenty of towels, soap dispenser, comfy bed and pillows. The room was quiet, at the back of the hotel. Very central for walking to the shrine and around the town.

I can’t think of anything. It was only a one night stop and served it’s purpose perfectly.

The hotel was exactly what we had hoped for. We were in Lourdes for a pilgrimage. The location was perfect. The parking included in the price was one of the reasons we chose this hotel. They both delivered. It is an older facility but well maintained and everyone was friendly and helpful. The other guests were there for the same reason, the pilgrimage, so we shared on that common purpose. Room is basic and on the small side, but that it what I expected for the price and proximity to the shrine. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it.

Lovely stay at this hotel, reception lady so accomodating and arranged the parking for us. Short walk to the Sanctuary and the Grotto. River nearby so you can hear the water stream. We enjoyed our stay in Lordes.

The location of the hotel could not be better....just 2 minutes away from the main entry to the sanctuaries. Although we never had breakfast I assume it was very good as the restaurant/kitchen area smelt very nice in the morning.

The bedding and soundproofing of the rooms need to be improved; could hear every single action in adjacent bathrooms especially early morning.

Our room had a good view of the river and the Lourdes Basilica. It was close to the shrine. The hotel had car parking accommodation.

The breakfast was meager for us Filipinos, who are used to having heavy breakfasts. But we perfectly understand how breakfasts are in Europe.
