Old fashioned Lourdes Guest House seemed perfect place to stay in Lourdes. Room simple but beautiful. Very clean and room tasteful , all you needed was provided and lovely bathroom. Very peaceful hotel and location superb. View of the town and river-tranquil. Did not have breakfast but dining area looked beautiful and lovely balcony/vernanda to sit and have coffee if guest wanted. Receptionist very helpful and everything was clear from the beginning. Great place to stay visiting Lourdes . Access to everything you needed . Highly recommend

Christina was an excellent host. She made every effort to make our stay comfortable. The rooms are charming and neat, washrooms were clean. The bed was comfortable with medium firmness. Linens were clean. Their towels were fairly new. No complaints with water pressure and hot water. Location was excellent with a great view of the river. It's just across the bridge from Porte Ste Michel and in the middle of the 2 major commercial areas. Will definitely stay here again.

I didn't mind, but this might concern some. Their shower does not have a curtain. It takes some effort not to get the bathroom floor wet.

Staying at Hôtel Sainte Marie was the right decision. We're very satisfied with the services, the rooms, the location and the facilities. Location is very close to The Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes and Massabielle Grotto. Only 3 minutes walk to the sanctuary (St. Michael Gate). The hotel has private parking. The room is spacious and clean, with a great view from our balcony. The owner of this hotel, Christine, she's the best. She's so nice and warm. She's really paid attention to our needs, and ready to help when needed. If one day we come back to Lourdes, definitely will return to stay at Hôtel Sainte Marie. Highly recommend to everyone who is going to visit Lourdes. Merci beaucoup, Christine & Hôtel Sainte Marie! 🤍

Christine is a lovely lady. She is the hotel, if it wasn't for her infectious happy, nothings to much persona then I would have marked it down. The hotel is situated up a gradient so not suitable for everyone. The river with it rolling rapids just outside the hotel is very pretty with the mountains in the background. The grotto is about a 10 - 15 minute walk away from the hotel just over the bridge. There are free entry toilets around the grounds of the grotto. There are loads of tourists shops selling rosary beads, plastic and glass bottles to take some of the holy water home etc. Loads of places to eat.

You get what you pay for. This hotel is very basic but clean. They do have a small lift to the floors. What they don't supply in the rooms is a complimentary tea and coffee tray with a kettle which would be handy when you get back to your room after all the walking you will be doing. They also don't supply complimentary shampoo and conditioner. You can order a continental breakfast at €9 per head which consists of tea/coffee, a croissant a couple of pieces of baguette with various jams and honey. A slice of ham and a slice of cheese and a yoghurt. No fresh pieces of fruit which would have been lovely.

Christine is the most beautiful hostess you could hope for. The best part is feeling her warmth and welcome. The hotel was within a few minutes walk to the start of the sanctuary so was really convenient. Enjoyed the little continental breakfast that we had in the lovely breakfast room. Do not miss the gorgeous yoghurt that is sourced from local farms. Just perfect to start the morning. Thank you for your hospitality Christine.

The location was fantastic! Right on the river and within a very short walk to the bridge leading to the cathedral. The room was large with window that could be opened. There were also shutters that could be closed for complete darkness if desired. The room was very quiet and very clean. We opted for the breakfast which included ham and cheese, yogurt, juice, coffee, bread and croissant. Very tasty and fresh and worth the cost. The owner was very sweet and caring, asking us how we were whenever we saw her. I would definitely recommend this place if staying in Lourdes!

The location is moments from the Domain. Mme Christine is a great host - pleased to greet and help guests. The room was spotless with windows opening on to the sound of the river. The French breakfast was served promptly and individually! Will stay again. Casa Italia just around the corner offers good quality lunches and dinners. Will stay again!

I loved how simple the clean the room was. I loved that there was an air conditioning. It's also in an amazing location, right across from the Basilica

The WiFi wasn't strong enough to reach my room. However that wasn't an issue because I was there to hike and do sighseeing.

The Hotel Sainte Marie was a great choice for us (wife and self) for our visit to Lourdes. To be very clear this property like most other hotels in Lourdes have been around for a very long time and if you are expecting facilities such as those provided at the Ritz then you are going to be disappointed. However, the hotel is very nice and located perfectly for a visit to the Grotto at Lourdes, eating establishments etc. What makes the hotel is the host, Christine. You could not find a more welcoming proprietor. Her breakfast was very nice, and she goes out of her way to make guests feel welcome. Parking was available at the hotel right out the front. We really enjoyed our stay. Pictures on booking.com are accurate.

This hotel is an oasis by the river in a city that is heavily touristed by pilgrims seeking the healing. The majority of the lodging is above the retail shops and is not nearly as private. Plus there is a nice Italian restaurant next door! The funicular was great fun and a drive to the Tourmalet was the highlight. The manager is a jewel and speak wonderful English. We became close.

The only difficulty was entering the parking. The code box was on the rigs side of the car and because the new rental car shuts off when the door is opened, it was impossible to get thru the gate before it closed. A two person operation.
