All of the communication with the owner was clear straightforward and very helpful. The room was fine, and the area surprisingly interesting after the initial greyness of first impression. The bar/café/petanque place next door a great bonus and Le Bistro Josep up the hill equally excellent. The internal courtyard garden of the apartment was a good place to sit and meet other travellers.Good link to Tram 2 stop Palais de Longchamp.

The property was extremely clean and tidy, and the host was incredibly kind and attentive. The balcony was beautiful and everything we needed was provided. The kitchenette was fully equipped and there were towels and soap available. We were slightly worried about the location when we initially arrived but inside the property is so lovely and feels very secure. It is perfect for a short stay as long as you're up for adventuring out to different areas! The bus services were nearby and a carrefour wasn't too far.

I wish better shampoo/body wash was provided rather than sachets and fresh towels would've been nice but these are very small issues that really didn't affect our stay. The only big thing is that the bed was a bit uncomfortable and we didn't feel very well rested after sleeping in it.

I liked that it was a mini studio with its own, fully equipped (fridge, pots, cutlery, sink, etc) kitchenette which opened some budget-level eat-in options. Had I stayed for longer, I would have probably taken advantage of the charming patio, but I was out during the daytime.

Nothing that I really disliked at the moment of being there, everything was neat and clean, it felt cosy and at home - however, later lodgings I stayed at during my tour showed additional rating context, so to speak. Some offered a bottle of water in the fridge, some offered washing soap. It's nothing I couldn't cope with, but definitely a very nice add-on.

It was a decent size, and not a far walk from Saint Charles Station. However location wasn't great, felt like the backstreets and were quiet and dark I wouldn't feel safe walking here alone. Key process was simple and easy - I just communicated my arrival time (late) before arriving. Room was spacious but in comparison bed was small, it was a double but if you're sharing with someone you're not in a relationship with it can feel quite small (even a different orientation in the room would make it feel bigger). Has a small kitchenette with pots, cutlery and crockery but no essentials like salt, oil etc

I wouldn't stay here again due to location, but everything else was fine. (don't feel safe walking alone at night, neighbourhood is quiet and dark)

The appartment/studio we rented was l9cated in the 4th arondissement, which is one of the older neighbourhoods of Marseille. It is llovely to stroll towards the cafés at the squares...The subway is some 10 minutes away. The appartment was neat and tidy. It was superhot during our stay and we survived our nights thanks to the fan. There's no airco. The studio has a beautiful garden and terrace that is accessible to everyone I would have given a 9 out of 10, but some of the utilities didn't work in our kitchenette. We ate soaked pasta instead of cooked pasta :D. That's what you get when you want to travel lowcost...

Great "student" style accommodation for what I needed. Little kitchen TV, tine shower but all that one needed. Quiet neighbourhood right next to the Art Tunnel and La Friche so ideal for my conference. Easy, clean and cheap and close to the heart of Marseilles. A half hour walk from the main docks.

Simple, traditional roots of gite-style lodging. Not lux, but very appropriate. You feel the spirit of the French street culture when staying at Residence Carpe Diem. Note: be aware of the location as pertains to your navigating needs. Bon Jour!

Very nice place. A clean room with a nice kitchenette and with more of a "like home" feeling than an "apparthotel" feeling. There was some loud noise from a nearby bar or from la "Friche de la Belle de Mai", but both days (Friday and Saturday) they stopped around midnight. The surrounding streets feel lonely but calm (at least during the day).

I arrived too early, but there was no problem. Easy to find and silent neighbourhood near the train station. In the room everything needed to have a 5day holiday was present. ( exept scissors ...if you need one off course)

The matress could be a bit better/ harder. It needs to be renewed sooner or later. But still ok to sleep on for a couple of days.

Wonderful cozy apartament with courtyard

The towels, pillows and blankets smelled “not-nice.” It was all clean, but felt like used and washed for years and years. Renovating these pieces of homeware would improve the experience.
