Simple accommodation but everything that we required. The bed was comfortable, bedding clean, bathroom was clean and well equipped. Breakfast area was bright and airy and there were plenty of tables available to sit at and clean crockery and glasses. There was fresh pressed orange juice, a mixture of breads and spreads, yoghurt and cereals. There were hot sausages and ratatouille. Coffee machine with a lot of options was also available. We were allowed to check out later as we were catching an evening flight and staff were very accommodating.

The lift and corridors were tired and worn. This let the premises down as the breakfast area and the reception and rooms were all immaculate and modern.

Very easy to reach from station (although if you have luggage, avoid the “shortest route” via the steps (grand escalier - there’s a reason for the name!) and use the street exit from within the metro underground level at the front of the station!). Breakfast was great, lots on offer. Room was quiet, despite proximity to major through street, but that may be because my room was on an upper floor with window to an inner courtyard.

Not a negative as such… nervous travellers arriving late should be aware that, as with many main train stations in European cities, there can be people hanging around for the sake of hanging around (I got to the station at 10pm on a Saturday in early summer, sky was dark but area is well lit, there was a group of 20ish-aged guys sitting on the steps smoking and drinking beer. Nobody bothered me though.

Staff was great here. On arrival I got my room already during morning and after check out when I came to get my bags staff kindly took initiative to tell that there is also I toilet I can use if need for it. Great location for the train station.

I would have liked eggs boiled ready in the morning for breakfast but I get that by allowing guests to boil them themselves is more practical in a hotel of this size and allows every one to boil the amount of time they want. So not an issue really for me ...

I needed somewhere to stay for an early train the next morning. The person who was on the desk was very helpful when I arrived and it was within walking distance that afternoon to the old port. I felt safe walking in the area. The hotel also felt private and secure. My room was clean and comfortable with somewhere to charge my phone. Breakfast was available early so I was able to have a drink and something to eat before walking a short distance to the railway station.

The room was fairly small but adequate for my needs

The location of this hotel is superb - it is very close to the main station (but you do not hear noise from the trains) which is also where the you get the airport bus. From the hotel to the Old Port of Marseille is about a 20 minute walk and there are several restaurants, takeaways, shops, pharmacies etc very close by. The breakfast is fairly standard for France and is available from 05:00. Also, they have free unlimited cold drinking water available 24x7 at the reception desk so you can keep water bottles topped up. I had a couple of early starts for activities and onward travel and I must say that my room was very quiet, I had no disturbed sleep. The room was quite small but the bed was comfortable and the bathroom is adeqate with a good shower.

I arrived in Marseille by bus and it was one of the closest hotels to the bus station. Also after checkout, I needed a shuttle bus to the airport and those busses leave from that bus station which was very convenient for me. AMP L91 is the bus if you're interested and it costs €10. I also liked the breakfast and that there were elevators.

My room felt a bit small, I'd only recommend it for solo travelers. Receptionists are helpful but their English could be a bit better.

So close to the station, which is wonderful if you have very heavy luggage. We arrived in the afternoon and left the following morning, so this was ideal. Plus it is a very short walk to the marina and surrounding restaurants. For a free hotel breakfast it was very good. Cheese, bread, eggs, fresh juice and cereals were all available, as well as some lovely pastries and a home made cake.

The room is small. Truly, it can only be used as a place to sleep, I would not recommend if you want to work in the room or if you just want to chill in your hotel room. If you get a room facing the road it can be a little loud, but the windows are double glazed so it is not too bad.

Great location, decent-sized single room, good quality bedding, good-sized TV. But especially free water fountain at the entrance, including sparkling water! Great continental breakfast included: proper expresso coffee, a variety of teas from one of the top tea merchants in France fresh. Good of excellent quality, seasonal fruit, muesli you can make to your taste, delicious jams, a selection of cheeses etc. A firm commitment to reducing expendable plastic and food waste.

Minor issues: the toilet seat was of cheap plastic and I found the decor a bit kitch. But again, minor. I would have loved a kettle in the room, though I know that this is unusual in French hotels.

Fantastic location. A very friendly staff. Comfortable bed and bathroom. All good. The breakfast was very good. Big choice. The left luggage room is safe and convinient. Thank you for a cup of tea before leaving.

Very close to the main railway station. The room vas close to perfect, comfortable bed, big shower, working internet, quiet, warm.

The reseptionist was not very polite, not a single smile or a kind word, even a response to greeting. Same guy during my two night stay. Can't say the same about his italian polite assistant. No fridge in the room. The TV was fixed too low. Hit my head a couple if times on it on my way to bathroom.
