We were overnighting in Marseilles to break our lengthy train journey. It was the perfect location. Exit the station Marseille St Charles by the taxi stand, walk down a slight incline to the street and it's directly across the street, a 2 minute walk. The staff were very welcoming and pleasant. The room was functional, super clean and the bed was excellent for a good night's sleep! Breakfast included was a big plus to start the day and available from 6.30 to 10.30. Huge assortment of juice, cereal, yogurt, fruit, cold meats, cheeses, 2 kinds of eggs, tons of bakery breads, sliced bread for toasting, pastries and a wide selection of coffee. Overall excellent and thd staff were constantly cleaning and tidying up. We were very pleased with this hotel. Good value for the rate.

My only suggestion would be the hotel signage. Although we were directly facing it, we walked DOWN the hill and UP the hill before we noticed it. In North America, Holiday Inns generally have very large, brightly lit signs with their logo which everyone knows. This was small and dark and difficult to see, especially at night. We even asked two locals and they had no idea where it was.

The hotel was across the street from the st. Charles train station which had a few stores and restaurants. The room was a nice size. Loved how dark the room got and since I had a room opposite the street it was pretty quiet. The restaurant was good the staff worked hard to keep breakfast area clean and supplied. Really loved the security system which required a card to get into room and the floor. The arrow on the card needs to be placed in the reader facing down for the lights to work.

The chair in the room wasn’t the most comfortable. I folded one of the towels and put in the seat section because of dipping. Because of the narrow bathroom a glass shelf at entrance is a little dangerous.

The hotel is opposite the train station and we used it as a base to see Marseille and get the train to other cities in Provence. The staff were kind and helpful. Particularly we experienced some airline problems and had to stay longer than expected and they were very helpful in letting us stay in the same room for 2 extra nights at a reasonable price. The breakfast is fine.

We ended up with quite a long stay of 8 days and a bit more furniture in the room would have helped. At least a suitcase stand and a few more hangers, if not another open cupboard.

VERY easy to find and to park the car in underground car park, which had plenty of spaces. Room just what we expected, given it is a chain. It was super clean, very comfortable, nice view and we were glad we upgraded to have the sofa (sofa bed) to sit on and relax. Breakfast was really good and included in the price. The terrace off the breakfast area/reception was a bonus to sit out in the fresh air. The metro was literally just across the road and took us directly to where we wanted to go to see the Old Port. Very convenient for a few days in Marseilles. Would stay there again. All the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.

The bar isn't really a bar, it is the reception desk and receptionists double up as bar staff. The bar was not well stocked. On the second night it didn't even have cans of beer.

Room with a view, clean and basic with a great view, Close to the Station and provided an adequate breakfast. Friendly staff though reception probably needed another pair of hands. A really good hotel for those in transit but more than a couple of nights probably not the best option,

We have stayed here several times as it suits our travelling needs being close to the railway station and availability of taxis, The location is , shall we say, less than salubrious and quite intimidating after lights out, As for the hotel we have no complaints at all.

The location across the street from the St. Charles train station was great. We took the airport shuttle bus to the train station and walked across the street. It was very convenient for our train travel the next day. The front desk personnel were friendly and graciously allowed us an additional 1/2 hour to check out. The breakfast was very good with many hot and cold choices. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

We paid more for a balcony room with a harbor view. It was alright but the view was not as expected. You had to go out onto the balcony and look to the far right around the adjacent room’s balcony to see a sliver of the harbor. Much of the view from the balcony was obstructed by a large structure on the hotel roof top. A real shower head would make that experience much better. You could not position the spray wand to keep the water inside the shower pan. It soaked the bathroom floor.

Location directly across the street from the train and bus station. Great breakfast. . Ginger candy was excellent especially with so many people with the flu was very thoughtful. Free Wifi connection. Clean room, bed, bathroom and overall the hotel was clean. No smoke odor within the hotel since there was a designated smoking area out on the terrace. Highly recommend for any stay in Marseille, regardless if one is traveling alone or with family.

Perfect location next to the St. Charles train station and airport bus line L91 plus both metro lines, Carrefour 20 m, sound-proof windows, really comfortable bed, electric kettle + tea + coffee (also decaf), A/C fully controllable incl. turning off. Breakfast basic but good. Reception staff helpful.

TV control chaotic. No fresh vegetables for breakfast. Breakfast staff unprofessional.

The hotel is in a great location, across the train station. People comment that the area is unsafe but it has nothing to do with the hotel, nowhere is safe in Marseille. :) There is a Carrefour just near the hotel. It is close to the train station where airport buses depart and the town center. The reception staff is friendly and helpful. We would especially like to thank Ms. Buket who helped us a lot.

There should be a refrigerator/minibar in the room. And shower slippers would be nice to have.

The hotel is pretty close to Saint Charles stop and so it is easily accessible by public transport. It takes ~25 mins to walk to the old port which was also pretty useful for us. The staff were pretty helpful whenever we needed something, they even provided a detailed list of beaches that we can visit so kudos to all!

Since the hotel is in a pretty central area, it is quite noisy. You can hear honks, people etc even at night.
