We keep coming back to this hotel. The nicest staff, and best location, beautiful room, clean and spacious. It was my birthday and my family reached out to the hotel so they could do something special. My whole room was filled with flowers, balloons, wine, sweets, they did above and beyond and it was so nice of them. Helpful in recommending restaurants and booking anything we need.

The air conditioner didn't work for the first few days, it took a few time of us talking to them until they did something, and eventually gave us a heater for the room which helped a lot!!

The location was central in Le Marais shopping areas and close to the metro.

We requested the day before for a little breakfast to be packed on the morning when we checked out but that didn't happen. The reception just scrambled something together at the last minute while the taxi was waiting. Some smaller details, there was no tea provided and the housekeeping forgot to replace the tissue box. This was supposed to be rated a 4-star hotel.

We absolutely loved our stay here. It has the boutique hotel experience with all the small details you'd hope to see - actual metal key (that you can leave with reception anytime when heading out), unique features within the rooms, and a local Parisian vibe you can't find at other hotels. It also had great amenities with A/C and cocktail hour service in the evening. We had an excellent stay.

Beautiful decorated and well situated hotel. Was on a quieter street but close enough to main streets. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They called us a cab back to the airport and gave an extra late checkout!

The shower wasn’t great. The water from the main shower head didn’t have great pressure and you couldn’t get the hand-held hose to stay in one position securely.

The hotel is in a wonderful location, conveniently located for shops, restaurants, and the Metro, which was ideal for getting to various Olympic events. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and elegant. We stayed for 4 nights in a junior suite and had a very comfortable stay. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely return.

Paris hotel rooms are notoriously TEENY TINY and this was no exception. Since this was a quick layover I didn't mind. But I would think twice about booking a longer stay only because the price vs size. But that being said...it was beautifully appointed, had everything we needed and NO BED BUGS. No carpeting on the floors which I loved and even though the toilet and the shower were in closet spaces, they were beautiful. THE STAFF IS AMAZING. Kind, helpful and sweet. If I was traveling alone I would book here again. It is a sweet sweet spot, nicely located and our room was QUIET!

Rooms were very nice, and nicely decorated. Staff were super friendly and accomodating!

Breakfast wasn’t great, and not worth 22 euro. Some smaller areas of dirt in the room (dirty shower curtain, dusty under the couch, very squeeky/loose toilet seat), but minor things really - easily fixable :) The location is relatively close to a train station, so some homelessness, etc. But sadly that’s most of Paris these days.

The hotel is located in the fantastic area of Le Marais, surrounded by many options for food and shopping. We had a king bed which was two single mattresses. It worked for my sister and I but if it was a couple, they may prefer no split in the mattress. I would say the best part of the hotel is the location and staff. The front desk workers rotated but we’re all extremely helpful, friendly, and accommodating. The hotel also feels very safe for travelers visiting the city.

A few times when our room was cleaned during the day, we would still have to call down for some more things like more toilet paper and refills on the water bottles they provide. But the front desk was always very accommodating and would provide what we need. They did not provide any wine bottle opener in the rooms…which could be a nice little touch for people wanting to have a drink at home :) But of course, they open the bottles at reception.

We had a delightful five night stay at the Charles V, a lovely small hotel in a quiet street between busy Rue St Antoine and the river. A stone's throw to the St Paul metro and Line 1, and surrounded by small bistros, boulangeries and wine and cheese shops, the location is perfect. There is a branch of Monoprix and a supermarket nearby. Walking distance to the museums of the Marais such as Musee Picasso, and to the Isle Saint Louis. The room was well appointed (although quite small, typical for Paris) and the bathroom was a good size. And the air conditioning works! Very pleasant breakfast room with a range of options. We will hope to return !

For these prices, a coffee machine rather than sachets of Instant coffee would be nice!
