The location was perfect—metro 30 steps from the door, taxi stand across the street, bus stop close, grocery stores and pharmacy on the same block, many good restaurants close. The hotel was small, clean, and charming. Breakfast was good. The best part was the staff. EVERY person we talked with was more than welcoming and accommodating. I’ve stayed in many hotels in my life, and I don’t remember any that made me feel more welcome. Thank you.

I cannot think of anything I didn’t like. The owners and staff have done everything they can to make an old building as comfortable and attractive as possible.

⸻ A Timeless Parisian Gem Staying at this hotel felt like stepping into a different century — a true journey back in time. The building and interior design are steeped in authentic Parisian charm, evoking the elegance of the 16th century. I genuinely felt like royalty, surrounded by beauty, history, and refinement. The service was flawless, the comfort and luxury beyond expectations, and the location — in the heart of the Marais — simply unbeatable. Every detail speaks of good taste and impeccable care. I will most certainly return to relive this extraordinary experience. A hidden treasure I’ll keep coming back to.

The staff there was AMAZING! They ended up to be like family. Lorys and Moeses were incredible! They took extremely good care of us, were personable, and made us feel VERY welcome! They worked on our French and they spoke English incredibly well. The woman who did the breakfast every morning came in 15 minutes early every day to accommodate our schedule, we didn't ask, we just found out that is what she was doing. My daughter about cried when we left because she bonded so well with her. Location wise, the Metro stairs are right outside the door, the boulangerie next door was incredible, and there are multiple restaurants around for just about any food you'd like. If you like quaint, unique, fun places to stay, this will meet all of your needs!

Nothing!

Everything! All were perfect and beyond expectations. The staffs were very kind and helpful. The room was just like in pictures but even more beautiful. I’m so happy I chose to stay here. It’s just few steps from St. Paul metro (line 1, plus metro in Paris seems much safer than first time I went here 11 years ago, if you’re alert and aware enough, pickpockets can’t scam you easily.) The hotel also locates between two supermarkets. If your legs are strong enough, you can even walk to Notre-Dame or Louvre. And The Seine river is just 5 minutes walk behind the hotel.

Rien!

Perfectly located boutique hotel in St Paul. My room, a single, overlooked Rue de St Antoine, but with the windows closed you couldn’t hear a thing & I slept very well Staff were all lovely, Moses & I had a really good chat when I arrived early (& I was able to go to my room before check in) The room was smallish - as most Parisian bedrooms are, but contained everything I needed for a good nights sleep including the very comfortable bed! Lovely Fragonard bath products. Breakfast was really good - in addition to the usual ‘bakery’ items, there were eggs, cheeses, meats and yoghurts. I heard my scrambled eggs being made freshly for me. Coffee was also good (& there’s a coffee machine in the room) Sadly I only stayed one night but now that I’ve found ‘my’ hotel in Paris I can’t wait to come back for a proper visit. Location is excellent as per previous reviews. Thanks to all of you at Temple de Jeanne!

It was perfect !

On a 36 degree C. summer solstice day, Moses on reception welcomed me and with pride informed me the history of this charming small hotel in Le Marais. Quiet classical music in the modern lift was relaxing and then I walked into a cold air con chamber # 42 with cold water in the fridge. Bliss! Heavy brocade curtains ensured black out and with a small Juliette balcony overlooking the courtyard, all was quiet at night. And it was the Fête de la Musique. Shower in bathroom was modern with all amenities and Fragonard fragrance. The small Fragonard scent and soap gift was beautiful and unexpected. As was the variety of teas and coffee machine in the room. Breakfast was optional and more than just continental with cereals, juices, pastries and hot dishes if requested. I felt this was a home away from home. I’ll be back.

I had to leave after 3 nights. The circular bed was comfortable for solo, could be too cosy for two? Especially if tall?

Really enjoyed having Le Temple De Jeanne as my home base during my week in Paris. My room was very comfortable and I appreciated the unique nature of the architecture of the hotel. The staff there was absolutely lovely and went above and beyond in trying to help me with various things. It was greatly appreciated.

Nothing.

All in all, the stay was very enjoyable. Great location! Wonderful, friendly, helpful staff! Both rooms were pleasant and quiet, overlooking the lively street. Breakfast was good, too and served with smiles and good will.

The bed in the single room I was in at 1st was very short. I requested a larger room & was given one with a double bed. It was very nice & the bed was OK, but no armchair or sofa to sit in, and no shelves or drawers to unpack my suitcase. I told the staff, & hope these 2 problems will be fixed.

The room was individual and full of character (totally different to the standard offering of the mainstream hotel groups. Location was perfect with Metro 1 50 yards outside the hotel front door. Rue Rivoli with all it's shops, restaurants, bars, coffee shops and other attractions like recently restored Notre Dame and Louvre museum in easy walking distance. We only had breakfast on last day and the staff could not do enough to satisfy our requirements. Special note all staff were friendly and could not have been more helpfull throughout our stay. Slight word of caution, we were in room on 5th floor ( 1 of 2) and the last bit was a winding stairway with narrow steps which would be a problem for those whose balance and movement is not what it used to be- for us it added to the differentness of Le Temple When we return to Paris we will definitely stay at this hotel.

The staff were very kind and extremely helpful. They upgraded us and we were able to check in earlier than expected. We arrived early in the morning, they stored our bags and brought them up to the room for us before we checked in a few hours later. The bed was extremely comfortable and the location was perfect!

My only complaints: there was a buzzing sound in the toilet hall, but once the door was closed you couldn’t hear it anymore. The towels were a bit small and the only plug for the hairdryer was in the floor. Otherwise everything was perfect! The rooms are small, but that’s expected in Paris, it was still very comfortable!
