Vicinity with the center, restaurants and metro stations.

The property is in a fantastic location: close to shops, restaurants, and metro. I requested an earlier check-in time and a room facing the street, which were both honored. The staff were polite, helpful, and worked to provide you an excellent and safe stay. The bathroom had a newly renovated shower and my room on the 5th floor had French doors to a balcony with a bistro table and chairs. A small elevator was just the right size to get myself and luggage to the top floor.

The room did not have air conditioning, but a fan was provided. (During a heat dome week, it would have been unbearable. My week was fine with the balcony doors open.) It also did not have a small fridge that would have been helpful. Some people may be turned off by the age of the hotel, but it’s Paris…everything is old and is part of the charm.

Lack of air conditioning. Although everything worked its more shabby than chic now. Although we were a relatively long stay, we were given a room on the top floor which got full sun and became extremely warm. We asked if we could move to a cooler room but were told they were fully booked. We had a fan but it was almost impossible to cool the room. Leaving the windows open at night helped but we were then subjected to alot of noise as we were there for the May Day holiday.

The location was great! Very easy access to great restaurants, cafes, shops, etc., yet it was still quiet. The staff was also incredibly friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable and the shower was better than average. The water was hot, the water pressure was strong, and space in the shower was plenty. The closet space was abundant.

The room was a bit more rundown than I thought I would be for the level the hotel is rated. The space in the room was the tightest of any of the hotels we'd stayed at on this trip. I would suggest removing the bulky chair. It was difficult to move around the bed when I needed the restroom during the night because the chair was blocking the limited walkway, however there was nowhere to relocate the chair.

Fabulous Hotel! Safe, clean and in a perfect location, the France Lourve display an old fashioned charm in the first floor communal lounge area. Being in the centre of Paris, the rooms are cosy, bathrooms have beee updated and John and his Staff could not have been more welcoming, friendly and helpful offering advice on local knowledge and getting around. As a solo female traveller this was most welcome. Nothing was too much effort! Upon arrival I upgraded to a Double room with a small balcony for a nominal amount which totally enhanced my Paris experience. Merci John and Staff! Looking forward to next time!

No Mini fridge in rooms

Location of the little hotel right next to the shopping mall BHV Marais & the Hotel de Ville in the heart of Paris, close to the Right Bank of River Seine & a short walk to the Notre Dame & other sights ! Got a great room in 5th Floor with a balcony overlooking the Rue de Rivoli -not noisy in the night . Breakfast was three stories down in a fantastic ancient vaulted space ! Icing on the cake was the famous 38Riv Jazz Club just two doors away (also vaulted basement )- where we took in a few concerts . The hotel is surrounded by great bars & restaurants . Superb front office staff.....extremely courteous & helpful.... Also did a lot of shopping at the BHV .

Breakfast was a bit chaotic , some problem with temp staff. Guess its now sorted out.

The location is perfect for exploring the best parts of Paris. The room and hotel was generally very clean. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Bathroom very light and airy.

Room slightly on the small size but that didn't matter as it was clean and comfortable. Breakfast options were a bit limited for anyone with a gluten intolerance. Stairs carpet is dirty and needs replacing/cleaning!

Hotel staff were excellent and spoke English very well . They accommodated my very early arrival by storing luggage. They have a very pretty sitting room overlooking rue de Rivoli with free tea and coffee during the afternoon and newspapers. Plenty of cafes, bus routes, central location with lots to explore in the area. Walking distance to many museums and attractions.

Could use some renovation, touchups for carpeting and wallpaper. There are no teakettles or minifridges in guest rooms.

Excellent central location with good metro connections. Lovely staff and very good continental breakfast.

The staff were all welcoming, informative and courteous. The lift was essential due to mobility issues so delighted with that. I was on 5th floor and lovely to have easy access due to lift and bonus a wee balcony. The twin room was good size and beds very comfortable. Tea coffee in room and 1st floor sitting room had free tea coffee at any time. The bath was good size too.

I didn't recommend as romantic as hotel does need tlc. Cracked plaster, gaps here and there bathroom bit musty and tired but I liked it and so did grand daughter.
