Vicinity with the center, restaurants and metro stations.

The location was great! Very easy access to great restaurants, cafes, shops, etc., yet it was still quiet. The staff was also incredibly friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable and the shower was better than average. The water was hot, the water pressure was strong, and space in the shower was plenty. The closet space was abundant.

The room was a bit more rundown than I thought I would be for the level the hotel is rated. The space in the room was the tightest of any of the hotels we'd stayed at on this trip. I would suggest removing the bulky chair. It was difficult to move around the bed when I needed the restroom during the night because the chair was blocking the limited walkway, however there was nowhere to relocate the chair.

Fabulous Hotel! Safe, clean and in a perfect location, the France Lourve display an old fashioned charm in the first floor communal lounge area. Being in the centre of Paris, the rooms are cosy, bathrooms have beee updated and John and his Staff could not have been more welcoming, friendly and helpful offering advice on local knowledge and getting around. As a solo female traveller this was most welcome. Nothing was too much effort! Upon arrival I upgraded to a Double room with a small balcony for a nominal amount which totally enhanced my Paris experience. Merci John and Staff! Looking forward to next time!

No Mini fridge in rooms

Location of the little hotel right next to the shopping mall BHV Marais & the Hotel de Ville in the heart of Paris, close to the Right Bank of River Seine & a short walk to the Notre Dame & other sights ! Got a great room in 5th Floor with a balcony overlooking the Rue de Rivoli -not noisy in the night . Breakfast was three stories down in a fantastic ancient vaulted space ! Icing on the cake was the famous 38Riv Jazz Club just two doors away (also vaulted basement )- where we took in a few concerts . The hotel is surrounded by great bars & restaurants . Superb front office staff.....extremely courteous & helpful.... Also did a lot of shopping at the BHV .

Breakfast was a bit chaotic , some problem with temp staff. Guess its now sorted out.

Excellent central location with good metro connections. Lovely staff and very good continental breakfast.

Great location, cute balconies, friendly staff.

The elevator/lift was broken and we were on the 5th floor, along with my parents in law, who are in their 70s. This seems like a long term issue, and I felt that they should make you aware when booking.

The staff were all welcoming, informative and courteous. The lift was essential due to mobility issues so delighted with that. I was on 5th floor and lovely to have easy access due to lift and bonus a wee balcony. The twin room was good size and beds very comfortable. Tea coffee in room and 1st floor sitting room had free tea coffee at any time. The bath was good size too.

I didn't recommend as romantic as hotel does need tlc. Cracked plaster, gaps here and there bathroom bit musty and tired but I liked it and so did grand daughter.

The staff was amazing, we were helped by a very polite and helpfull man. We arrived early and asked if we could leave our luggage there ahead of time and it was no problem at all. The location is wonderfull, close to many mayor attractions. The room was basic but nice, there wasn't any airconditioning but they provided a nice big fan instead. We also had a balcony which was great, especially since we were on the 5th floor so we could see very far away.

The toilet was in a bit of a narrow corner so it was a bit tight. Aside from that i have no complaints.

After reading all the reviews and seeing pictures, I was a bit concerned, HOWEVER, as soon as we entered the Hotel, we were greeted by a friendly concierge. We had arrived a few hours earlier and were able to leave our luggage, in a secure place. Bathrooms were available to change as well and freshen up. Hotel isn’t Huge, like most Americans used to, but this is Europe! And TBH, if you care more about, how big is your room, you aren’t really there to see the city! Our room was clean with the window to the city, amazing. Not much street noise either. Beds are super comfortable!!! To point out things like chipped paint, old stains (rugs), my guess is, at least in our room rugs were solid color, not like most hotels where they use multi color rugs, which makes all things blend in, also it’s an old building, to me it was charming! Overall, if you are not a snob lol this is an awesome place with a fantastic location!!!

The location is perfect and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Overall the experience was fantastic.

I'd say they have different rooms in the same category that shouldn't be in the same category. Many reviews are good and many reviews are bad and I believe it is due to different expectations. We got a bad room when checked in and the hotel was full, but on the next day the staff was happy to move us to another room with a better view and it changed our experience completely. I would suggest for the hotel to create a different cheaper category for rooms facing the inneryard and a more expansive category for rooms facing the street. I'd happily pay more for a better room but if the bad room was cheaper I would be more accepting too.
