It was the 'shabby chic' decor that hooked me to book, and it didn't disappoint; I especially enjoyed the many framed pages from old 19thC periodicals and the no-such-thing-as-too-many-patterns-at-once approach to wall coverings and upholstery. The breakfast was 10 Euros extra but competitively priced for the same classic fare in the neighbourhood, and the breakfast room had a charming crimson brocade atmosphere. Our breakfast included: 1 generous portion of baguette, 1 flaky croissant, fresh orange juice, two soft cheeses, butter, jam, and coffee with milk (no refills, but good). We were in Room 9 on the 3rd floor with a very comfortable firm bed.

Only two less than ideal aspects: (1) I didn't mind that the room was small; it was delightfully decorated with birds of paradise. It could have benefitted, however, from at least one piece of furniture with some drawer or shelf space for folded clothing items (although I should note that there were two quite adequate closets for hang items); and (2) the bathroom was quite small; I am only 5'2" and 115 pounds, but found the shower a tight space. I couldn't help thinking a large person would find it quite challenging.

Loved the character, wonderful style. Position was amazing. Staff were very helpful. Our room was quite tight, but had everything we needed. Breakfast was excellent. We had a small balcony which was a bonus.

Lovely and cute hotel, we loved the decor (both of the room and the shared spaces). It’s right in the middle of the Le Marais neighbourhood, but it’s very well sound-proofed, we couldn’t hear a noise from the street and slept very well. Great location, you can walk everywhere and the metro is close by. Great bed and shower, room was super clean. The staff was lovely and helpful.

Location was very good, you could walk easily to the main locations in the city. Easy to travel to the hotel from the plane (RER) and train (Metro). Personnel very friendly. Rooms very convenient, nicely decorated.

Wonderful location close to the Marais with all the restaurants, museums and activity of the area. Hotel decor is charmingly quirky, but all rooms have a balcony to watch the action below and for some fresh air. 24-hour desk staff were very helpful answering our many questions.

Disappointing breakfast. Coffee was good but instead of yogurt they served applesauce.

This is not a criticism of the hotel but related to its location. Our room overlooked a square and there was a restaurant beneath us which was very noisy in the early hours of the morning - moving barrels or heavy furniture at 3 am on one occasion with a lot of banging around and shouting- which penetrated the double glazed window. Another guest commented on this to us. Maybe the hotel could liaise with the restaurant over this regarding the time they do 'heavy' work.

Location is excellent! Size of room and bathroom were fine for such amazing location. Metros and buses nearly as well. Hotel was clean and they allow you to leave luggage prior to check in.

Very noisy square bellow hotel windows so some noise for sure. I didn't mind but for the light sleeper it may be a problem. The elevator from ground to first floor did not work so be prepared to climb stairs. Other than that it was a great place in my opinion.

I love the decor at this hotel, as well as its location. The breakfast was good, as always, The receptionist was very friendly and helpful, booking us our taxi and answering our questions about whether or not to get an Uber to CDG.

There were no towels in the room.

My teenaged daughter and I enjoyed the hotel very much! We really liked the vintage style of the place, the room was clean, nice, and with a lovely view to the street from the small terrace. The staff were kind and helpful, and the location was the best - we mostly walked from the hotel to the different spots. The room has been cleaned everyday very recommended!

The hotel is located in a very central and lively area with a design full of authentic Parisian character. Our room had a balcony overlooking a charming and bustling city square. However, when you close the window there is complete silence. The staff was very kind and helped us with everything we needed. A perfect place for those looking for a real Parisian experience!
