Great hotel. Clean and comfortable with a nice French vibe. The English-speaking staff was warm and welcoming. They allowed us to check-in early (12pm). If that can't be done, they will hold luggage until your room is ready. A nice sitting room is available at the front of the hotel for reading, sipping a beverage, or making plans. Superb location: 5 minute walk to the Edgar Quinet Metro Station and a 15 minute walk to Gare Montparnasse for those who want a train for Versailles. Lots of restaurants nearby. We had a "two double adjoining room" which had a large and modern bathroom with a really good shower. TV had access to Netflix and Youtube for those who have subscriptions and the beds were very comfortable. Very quiet. Average elevator per European standards (small). It worked well except for one day out of four but it was repaired the next day. We didn't eat breakfast but the buffet looked nice with a good variety. The only complaint we had was that the room did not have a kettle for brewing tea or hot cocoa.

I had an absolutely amazing stay at this hotel! Location: The location is simply unbeatable. You can walk to so many iconic landmarks and attractions, which made exploring Paris incredibly convenient. Additionally, there are several metro stations nearby, making it easy to get around the city if you prefer public transportation. The area is surrounded by an incredible selection of cafes, restaurants, and charming bakeries – perfect for experiencing authentic Parisian cuisine. Safety: I felt completely safe during my entire stay, which is such a crucial aspect when traveling. Room: The room was stunning, decorated in a classic French style that added to the overall charm of the experience. It was cozy and warm, which was especially appreciated during the colder evenings. The highlight was the romantic view of the Parisian rooftops – it truly felt like a dream! If you’re looking for a centrally located, safe, and beautifully styled hotel to enjoy the full Parisian experience, this is the perfect choice. Can’t wait to come back!

Excellent location close to the train station, restaurants and cafes. The room and common areas were very clean with nice art.Good value for money (esp. for a short stay). 24 hour reception and locker storage came in handy. It had a good AC system which was needed in August. Better than expected.

The room is very small. We only had a few small bags and it was a lil tight. If you have a lot of suitcases or are big people could be a challenge after 2 days. It was doable for a weekend.

I really liked the distinctive style of the hotel, even though it wasn’t as user-friendly as modern hotels. The staff were all friendly and helpful.

I only wish my room was a bit bigger, as there’s not much space for both my wife’s and my luggage. It would be just fine for one person, though.

Proximity to the areas of Paris we enjoy. A large courtyard to enjoy of an evening. Very efficient in room controlled air conditioning, excellent bathroom

In typical Parisian style the room was smaller that we hoped for but was priced accordingly and we thought very good value.

GREAT location, friendly helpful staff, public space, good shower, comfortable bed, very clean, quiet as windows were very efficient. A good choice of nearby Metro stations.

Aircon not working but in truth I don’t ever sleep with it on and despite the heat the room was cool enough. A kettle in the room might be a nice addition.

Hotel des Bains is a lovely, small hotel in a wonderful neighborhood. Our room was fine for two people, and had big windows onto the street. There were many restaurants, cafes and bakeries in this location. The neighborhood has a spectacular farmer's market and the occasional flea market too. Metro stops are close by too. The neighborhood and surrounding area is great for walking with lots to see and do.

It got noisy there in the early am and then quieted back down.

Good sized room with great balcony. Location was nice n the middle of Montparnasse so you could easily travel to two metro stations, many restaurants and the Gare de Montparnasse. The great Musee Bourdell close by.

The staff at the check in were not welcoming and we're very surly. Door banging late at night. Walls very thin that you could hear a sneeze from the other room.

The hotel is located in a very vibrant area with full of cafes, restaurants and easy access to four metro stations. The room was clean, the room service very friendly. The room was not so spacious but it was ok for two persons. Also, the price was good.

Room was a little small but functional. Ac did not work which was fine for when I stayed but could imagine it being difficult in hotter temps Was rather noisy at nights with motorbikes etc but was fine with earplugs I always carry when travelling
