The rooms were clean and had an old fashioned charm. The location was great.

Upon arrival the staff said that we hadn’t paid. I showed the payment in my account and called my credit card and they verified the payment. The staff kept saying it wasn’t paid but they would look into it the next day. They never got back to us and that made our stay kind of awkward not knowing how this would end up. At the end we were charged additional taxes which I would have liked for o have been included in the price. All and all it was kind of expensive without the comfort of knowing that we could stay without problems. It would have been nice and put us at ease to know that they did receive the payment and not charge extra at the end.

Breakfast was excellent, fresh bakery goods excellent choices of protein options. The hotel is very well situated and close to Gare St. Lazare and a metro station. It was within a walking distance (for us...3 KM) to the IL de cité. The hotel is a brief walk to the Galleries de Lafayette and many restaurants.

The room was limited in outlets, 2 didn't work at all for lighting or plug-ins. The bed seemed to be a double when we were expecting the size of a queen, but we managed so no problem.

Really big room with large wardrobe, chest of drawers and enough space for a breakfast table. Comfy bed. Nice views of urban sprawl of Paris and a small view of St Coeur from the bathroom. 24hr check-in with free sweets. Characterful property with a cool lift. V convenient location for Montmatre, metro stops relatively near.

The hotel itself is characterful but the room and bathroom is a little tired. Air con only seemed to have on and off options. Nothing wrong per se but not the one if you're looking for a more luxurious stay.

The sweetest staff members at the reception - all of them! Hotel was clean, had a Parisian charm (we were at first scared to book an "older" hotel) but it exceeded all expectations. Safe area around the hotel, we walked everywhere in Paris. Close to a busy street full of restaurants and boulangeries, the street of the hotel itself was calm and quiet. Most comfortable soft beds and pillows we experienced in a long time. Will definitely book this one again when next time in Paris.

Location was very good, close to many attractions and easy access to metro. Room was very spacious, and even a little outdated and not renovated, it was fairly comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, and staff was phenomenal. Totally recommend this place.

It is old, air conditioning was not working, instead there was a fan in the room. We did not stay in a very warm night, so it did not impact negatively for us. However, during European summer this may be a big issue.

Fantastically preserved old furniture and features—very atmospheric. Friendly staff. Excellent dining options in the neighborhood, offering classical French cuisine (dinners at Chez Delphine and Lorette were 10 out of 10).

There was a bad smell coming from the bathroom sink. We had to keep it plugged to prevent the odor from spreading into the room. The entire pipe system likely needs thorough cleaning. Previously, we stayed in a different room at this hotel, and there was no bad smell there.

We were warmly welcomed from the moment we arrived, greeted and inquired about satisfaction throughout our stay, and happily wished a “see you soon” and played out with a Barry White song on our departure. Our room was given a complimentary upgrade and we were so appreciative of the generous change. The room was spacious, the bathroom was huge and clean and tastefully decorated, and the bed was so comfortable, best sleep I’ve had in months!

This was one of the best hotels I've ever stayed. The room was absolutely beautiful, larger than the photos made it seem, and the location was superb for getting around central Paris, but the street was fairly quiet. Would definitely stay here again, so charming!

I wish there were a kettle or coffee maker in the room for getting ready in the morning, but I did have access to the coffee machine downstairs.

Super friendly staff! We arrived very early at the hotel. No problem to leave our luggage in a closed storage room. Got offered a coffee and a viennoiserie. We stayed in a 2 bed -room which was a very spacious room. The room was on the 3rd floor, not at the street side, so no nice view, but we could leave our window open at night. Excellent bed and pillows! 20 minutes walk from the train station Gare du Nord - 25 minutes walk to Le Louvre. As it is an old building : - there is still carpet. It's charming, but bit dusty for allergies - an old building = thin walls, but not that bad.

Good location with nice cafes around walking distance.

Nothing much. Except that in the morning, duty manager kick a fuss about us taking complimentary coffee from the breakfast area and said we can only get this after breakfast time if we didn’t sign up for breakfast , which I felt is unnecessary. They could have place a simple coffee corner outside the restaurant if this is the case.
