From the start our stay at Hotel Riesner was exceptional. The friendly helpful staff were always present at concierge whenever we needed them. Our room though small as it was a twin was enough for us and the beds were comfortable. A large window opened for fresh spring air at night. Breakfast was superb. So many choices for every taste. I liked that coffee or tea was available outside breakfast hours and that the lobby locked after 11 pm. We found the location perfect for getting out and around the city and would stay in the 12th arrondissement again. Good proximity to restaurants and markets, just a blocks walk.

Great location right next to the Gare Lyon train station and close to multiple underground lines. The interior was great and it had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable. The staff was very friendly as well!

It's not so much that I didn't like it, but just so you know: the room is very very small, so if you have a lot of luggage, just know there's not much place to put it, but we only stayed for two nights and so it wasn't a huge problem. And, they only knocked for the cleaning in the late afternoon, when we already came back and one of us was in the shower - not a huge issue, but in effect we didn't have our towels changed.

The hotel has a beautifully designed interior with a modern, boutique feel that’s both stylish and comfortable. It’s tucked away in a super quiet location, yet still offers very easy access to major attractions and transport links—perfect for getting around the city with ease. The staff were genuinely warm and welcoming throughout our stay, always happy to help with a friendly attitude that made the atmosphere feel relaxed and personal. The breakfast was also a real highlight: high-quality choices, beautifully presented, and served from 7am—which is ideal if you want an early start to your day. Other standout features included the great toiletries, overall cleanliness, and the pleasant look and feel of the hotel. It’s clear that a lot of thought has gone into the guest experience. There were a couple of minor details that could be improved. While the room was very clean overall, there were a few dusty spots behind the floor lamps and behind the toilet brush, and the sink was slightly chipped. The bathroom, though well-maintained, was very compact—to the point where it was difficult to sit on the toilet comfortably. On two mornings, although breakfast officially started at 7am, the setup wasn’t quite ready when we arrived just after the hour. That said, these were small issues in an otherwise excellent stay. Hôtel Riesner is a peaceful, well-designed hotel with great service, and I’d be happy to return on my next trip to Paris.

Location: great connection through Bastille metro station or gare de lyon but also in a quiet side alley so it was really quiet and peaceful at night Staff: the most polite and friendly staff you can ever meet, esp Marie who checked us in and provided us with maps of Paris which was very helpful The design style of th room and the hotel in general were very nice room was very clean and there were coffee and tea facilities in the room, also a safe which was very important

If I have to mention anything: the room was too small for 2 people and without a fridge but it was no big deal

If we could give the highest rating for this place 100+ stars. It was the best place we have ever stayed. The ambiance of this place is warm and cosy, with a very welcoming atmosphere it felt like staying with family. The staff were so amazing, they booked 3 different places for dinner for us and each place the food was really good. They also were so helpful in suggesting places to visit and at what times were not so busy. All the staff made us feel so welcome. This place has a real warm feel about it with a retro 30-40's feel and we are definitely come back and stay here. Tarek was so charming and helpful during our stay, we watched him dealing with patron after patron during busy times and he was very professional with each and every person. He never looked stressed and just handled it so well. He would always make us feel like we were the only people there and nothing was too difficult for him. He arranged a lovely night dinner tour for us and it was all organised by the time we got back from our day trip and got changed ready for dinner. He also helped where needed even in the kitchen. Salem Was terrific, he arranged 2 dinners for us and when he couldn't do something he arranged for it to be sorted by another staff member and made sure our reservations were ready. We were always made to feel like family. Even the owner Corinne was so sweet, she too made us feel so welcome. She gave us great recommendations on places to go, and the directions to get to the country town of Rouen was spot on. The food was great, sooo delicious, and Noella was lovely too, she made us freshly squeezed juice every morning and always supplied fresh croissants and bread. There was always a great selection of meats and cheeses all presented fresh and appealing. The eggs and smokey sausages were our favorite. We really didn't want to go home. We enjoyed chatting with everyone that works here.

It was a lovely, cozy, and clean place. The breakfast area was beautifully decorated, creating a pleasant atmosphere. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful—I was genuinely surprised by their kindness. Location is quite good, close to restaurants, big supermarket and the river.

The bathroom could benefit from having larger shelves for makeup and other items. The small ones currently provided are too tiny to hold anything safely, especially glass items, as there is a risk they could fall. Additionally, it would have been helpful to have a wardrobe with more shelving. There were only two small shelves and a few hangers, which didn’t offer enough space for clothing storage. Despite the fact that the breakfast was nice, the scrambled eggs and sausages always seemed to be on their way. The serving station was a bit too small, so after a few guests, others had to wait for refills, which became frustrating after it happened several times.

Nice and stylish hotel. Very very pleasant stuff on reception. Clean, comfortable, silent. I had a spacious bathroom. Extremely comfortable bed. A lot of sockets. There was almost everything I needed, including coffee machine with capsules and bath amenities.

It would be nice to have a small fridge in the room, as well as a bottle of water (I don’t drink tap water). I also lacked a hygienic kit and plates. But it wasn’t a big problem. Hotel is very close to Gare de Lion, but enough far from all city attractions. Maybe it’s my bad, I thought it was closer.

The location is fine if you are happy to use the metro and perhaps are not a 1st time visitor to Paris. We travelled outside the city to Disney and the outlets so it was perfect for us to be next to Gare de Lyon. Metro is so easy to use and it is a nice walk to the centre - however, it is a little far out if you are maybe a 1st timer and want to be closer to some of the main attractions. We were upgraded to a superior room, it was perfect, bed and pillows are amazing and staff were so nice. We didn’t eat breakfast.

The Hotel was located conviently next to Gare de Lyon which allowed us travel easily throughout Paris. The Room was spacious and the bathroom was of a very high standard. Had a very large walk in shower. The twin beds were very comfortable and water was placed in the room every day. There was no noise and the staff in the most cases friendly.

We were asked to pay the relevant Taxes for the duration of our stay when we arrived, which we duly did. On checking out we were asked to pay additional Taxes which we refused to do as we we paid them on our arrival and that was for our stay with the hotel. The Hotel staff member was not very pleasant and threatened to take the money out of our credit card anyway if we didnt pay. While it did not detract from our stay with the hotel we found that this exchange let the Hotel down in our view as up until then the customer service and staff were superb.

This is a great option with good value for a quick stopover. I wanted something close to Gare de Lyon for ease as we were returning from Nice via train but had once more night in Paris before flying home. The room was really clean and I felt safe and pretty comfortable. The room was small but I didn't mind since we were only staying for one night. We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel but the dining area on the first floor was really cute and well designed.

A couple of things in the bathroom were a little rickety. The detachable shower head sprayed water out both sides which made it unusable. The sink was also a little rickety and moved back and forth. Neither of these things were a huge deal.
