The hotel is in a cute quiet area, and in a decent walking distance or train ride to most tourist attractions in the area. The hotel itself didn't seem busy allowing us to relax and chill in our room without any disturbances.

The rooms are quite small, but then again I think thats most of Paris architecture. Only other thing is the sink drain is large, so if you're doing your makeup or anything near here be aware that things may go down the drain!

Unexpectedly nice hotel in a calm but lively part of Paris. Everything looked fresh and well-maintained and the hotel is bigger, newer, and more professional than I would have expected when booking/from the outside. The room was quite spacious and convenient, with a good bed, nice bathroom, safe and fridge. Lots of nice bars and restaurants around, and the metro is quite close. Staff were helpful.

As is to be expected in Paris, the price is quite high for what you get - but compared to its competitors, this hotel is still quite affordable. Check-out quite early at 11.00, but the staff let you store your luggage at the hotel after checkout. Google may recommend you get out at metro station Corvisart, but the recommended walk from there includes stairs - not great with suitcases. Use Place d'Italie instead.

The hotel was very cute and cozy and the staff were very kind specially Idriss who works at the reception. I’d definitely return on my next visit to Paris.

The day I was leaving the man who works at the reception in the morning shift after 9, was rude to my friend and yelled at him.

The location is good: 6-8 minutes to metro line 6 and 7. There are lots of restaurants, cafes, supermarkets and bakeries in the neighborhood. The staff are friendly and helpful. They allowed us an early checked in when we arrived.

Our room was on the ground floor and the room is always dark. Besides we saw a LOT of ants in our bags when we brought some biscuits in our room.

We had a pleasant stay at Hotel Saint-Charles in Paris. The hotel itself is charming, clean, and well-maintained. The staff was welcoming and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed. Our room was comfortable, and the bed was great for a good night’s rest.

One thing to note is that the hotel is a bit far from the city center. While public transport is available, getting to the main attractions takes some time. If you prefer staying in a quieter neighborhood away from the hustle and bustle, this could be a good choice. Overall, it’s a nice hotel with good service, but keep in mind the location if you’re planning to explore central Paris frequently.

Great location. Close to some good restaurants for breakfast and even late-night outings for a drink and to grab something to eat. There is a superb little pub that's open till 2 called Le Tavern de la butte . Reception was very friendly and overall accommodating as we were allowed to leave our bags before check in and also leave then again after we checked out. Beds were comfortable and plenty of towels.

There is no AC in the room. I was informed that central heating was on but it was 20' outside and we slept with the windows open as it was really warm and hot inside the room. As Canadians the weather was fabulous and hot. The use of space in the bathroom was odd as the bathtub was so deep and long and there was no shower door or curtain. The sink was about 1 inch deep and water would splatter everywhere. The fridge in our room was not a fridge as it was warm. But reception very kindly kept whatever we needed in their bar fridge. There are no complimentary water bottles .

Quiet part of an otherwise very lively street with many bars, cafés, and restaurants Most at mid price range, different cuisines. Lots of very creative street art pieces along the roads. The hige Vietnamese Quarter is Only 10 minutes walk way with around at least 100-120 restaurants, inculding a huge variety of Vietnamese places also Korean, Thai, Laotic, .... Place d'Italie with different Metro connections to Gare Montparnasse, Gare d'Austerlitz, Gare de l'Est and Gare du Nord ist 10 minutes walk away. Booked a regular double room. Small but sufficient. Batzroom with window, good shower. Hotel winter garden type lobby and bar with small sunny backyard

The room was efficient and clean enough and came well-stocked with toiletries. The windows were double-glazed which helped keep the room quiet at night when the windows were closed. The staff were pleasant and helpful when I asked for help making restaurant reservations.

The room was a bit stuffy because it was on the top floor, and heat rises. Opening the window helped to let air in, but it also let the noise in. I could hear cars and noise from the people at the cafe below. I had to choose between a quiet, stuffy room or, a noisy, well-ventilated room at night. Also, the kettle was broken and could not heat the water.

We booked this hotel as it was the only one we could afford during the Olympics, we didn't know the 13e but we loved it. The hotel is nice, comfy beds, lots of hot water, towels changed every day, it had A/C which was great as it was so hot in Paris. The staff are friendly. The area is really great, it feels like a village, there are some great bars and restaurants just up the road and loads of amazing street art. It's a short walk to the nearest metro station which links easily to the RER. We will definitely return to this area of Paris in the future.

Hotel St. Charles is our go-to in Paris. Off the tourist beaten tracks in Butte aux Cailles n(13 arrond) , it offers great little restaurants, patisseries, shopping and is situated near major transportation locations, such as Place d'Italie. The beds are great, it is quiet and the staff provides a lovely morning breakfast (additonal cost). Also as an extra bonus, down the street is an AMAZING swim center with a majestic indoor pool.
